YET there was a WHITE lady with a CHILD UNDER ONE buying liquor and they didn't ask her not a damn thing about her child. Make it make sense. ridiculous to let someone with a child buy liqour but two OVER the age people can not buy liqour because the one who wasn't purchasing didn't have an ID. They don't all have the same selection so it's fun to visit those newer locations to get a sense of what they offer. Thankfully, Spec's advertised a special bourbon drop for July 4at selected stores and this Pearland location was on the drop list. Had never been to this Spec's and was pleasantly surprised by the people. Attentive, smiling, friendly. Good yo know that service is still in style. They open at 10am but we arrived early because we didn't know what to expect. Parking was plentiful and easy. As the staff arrived they each waived hello and the manager came out around 9:30am to chat with us and let us know what to expect. The store is large, and has a great selection of wine and spirits. It certainly has more of a warehouse feel with concrete floors and open ceilings, but the aisles are wide and you don't feel claustrophobic because you can see over the shelves in the center of the store. The cashier entered the wrong amount of money into the register ( intentionally / unintentionally who knows) and when my husband brought it to his attention he argued him down... as if people don't know how much money they have And then when we called the owner of course he sided with the cashier ... no attempt to make it right . Pretty awesome liquor store and there's a reason why it has perfect ratings from everybody and they're not even fake. And it's not even because the owner is so spectacularly good looking. But that's fun too. It's because they have cheap prices for a huge selection of good liquor and everybody's obsessed with liquor - so it's always going to have decent ratings regardless. But this is a particularly good store and will at least make you feel like you're an astronaut since you're so close to the real astronauts.
