Traveling into Docklands on a Monday night to ride the Melbourne Star, it is difficult to find a place that is open and serving 'real food' at 7pm.
I had a look at the menu for Harbour Town Hotel and it seemed very reasonable fare at decent prices.
On walking in, the decor is a composition of city chiqué with typical hotel seating and tables.
The staff were very friendly; I would assume it had a lot to do with them not being run off their feet.
Harbour Town Hotel also offers your typical Monday to Friday night special deals on certain menu items; so if you're on a bit of a budget, check their website and make the most of your evening.
A well stocked bar, again, fairly reasonable prices for a city venue.
I did try the Parma and must say I was quite impressed despite the previous reviewers comments. It was simple, quite 'thick' as in not so much a schnitzel style fillet. The Napoli sauce was homemade, not your usual 'out of the bottle' tomato paste, and the beer batter chips were only lightly battered.
Without hesitation, I am happy to give this venue 5stars. read more
