I took the watch back to be checked and I was told by the younger lady, (the owner) not to bring the watch back to them, to contact the warranty company, but the issue stemmed from the links that were removed by her employee. I did not feel valued as a customer, and the owner could have shown a little less arrogance, and a lot more humility!

Corrine has been in the jewelry business for a long time and knows how to work with your budget to make your dream ring. We met with Corrine twice before I was kicked out of the process! She helped create my perfect ring by combining elements from a couple different ones. Corrine even helped set the ring into a special box my fiancé bought to ask me. Tips first: This studio is BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. GPS will take you on a crazy ride, no where near the studio... so when you call for the appointment, ask for specific directions. It's in an office building, on the 2nd floor, so no store front or signage outside. Ladies: your man will probably go on this appointment by themselves, but do not worry, they are in good hands. Men: Corrine will set your budget, and hold your hand through the entire process, so you will know what cut and clarity are and mean.... and she also has beer in the studio to calm your fears and often hosts workshops, where you can indulge on wings! (Check out her website and FB page for her events and seminars!) With all that said, Corrine is an absolute dream and caters the buying experience for your man buying you the rock. She is budget conscious, can design a gorgeous ring, and will educate your SO on all the ins and outs of buying and designing the perfect ring for you. I knew I was a little picky in getting the ring I would wear for the rest of my life, so had a picture of what I wanted for Adam to take on his appointment. If it's a surprise.... no big deal. Corrine flew to Spain and selected a few stones for Adam to pick from, offering a few options. Then, they designed the band around the stone he picked.... and the result was a mind blowing, perfect engagement ring that I still look down at complete awe and wonder. I think he went on 3 or 4 appointments for the entire process... and he will tell you, it was all worth it. :) The time Corrine took with Adam was above and beyond... and when we finally get around to buying wedding bands.... there is NO other studio will we even visit. Scott told me that I would need some sort of piece of gold to reinforce the rings as they were soft. These items were not cheap. In order cover the cost, I sold two gold bangles to him. When I went in to pick up the final product, not only was I disappointed at how ugly the "fix" (the reinforcements were), he casually told me that he took the liberty of replacing my stones. NOT once EVER did he mention that or ASK me if I wanted the stones replaced. The "new" sapphire doesn't even look like like a sapphire -looks more like a tanzanite or aquamarine. I was so stunned, i left without saying anything. That was on me. That prompted me to look up the price of gold when I gave him my bangles to cover the cost. He waaaaay underpaid based on the price of gold at that time. Again, my bad because I didn't say anything. Just so disappointed and upset about the whole thing as the rings were a present from my deceased dad. That's what I get for assuming a pretty little independent jeweler in Fleming Island would be reputable just because. I wouldn't let Shipleys touch anything of mine.

Was placed on hold for over 5 minutes and hung up. Received a call stating they would call me back in am. Ended up calling back next afternoon after 1 and watch still was not ready. I stated would pick up watch and take it to my regular jeweler. Owner was rude and advised that I could come pick it up. Mysteriously when I arrived it was ready. After a negative exchange I called his attention to the 'expert jewelry repair' sign out front. He even had the audacity to ask me to pay after I had paid the day before. My watch was in perfect condition before. It is now scratched on the back. Word to the wise---take your jewelry to a professional who is able to service it graciously and properly.

I was afraid they'd be snotty about the watch since it wasn't fancy. My son is sentimentally attached to it so no amount of bribing was gonna get him to give it up. They weren't snotty though. They were efficient, patient and understanding. My son's watch has a new lease on life with a new battery and a watch band that actually made a silk purse out of a sow's ear. His watch looks great and I didn't have to wait a long time at all.
