Yuck, what the heck am I doing here? 8€ for a drink and 12€ for nachos and both of them crap. While I write a lot in praise of places than make a lone American comfortable, this is not one of them. This is they type of place I loathed in the US. Yet I come here all the time. Why? It's really easy for my dumb-as-sin American friends to find when they first arrive in Barcelona. Okay, I love my friends. I, however, seem to be everyone's contact for their first adventure outside of the States, and no one ever does any research, let alone pick up any Spanish phrases. (Really, American Friends? Really? Going to Vancouver and/or Cancun does not make you a seasoned traveler. Barcelona is not Mexico with paella.) The Hard Rock does serve a very good purpose. It's in Placa Catalonya (the middle of everything). Every local can point a dumb tourist to it. In that, it has done well for me. As a side note, someone once told me it was the most profitable Hard Rock Cafe in the world. I guess I have to agree. It's the only one who's ever gotten any of my money. read more

Yes, it is a Hard Rock!!! However, unlike the really crappy one I encountered in Johannesburg, this one is quite good. While it is definitely a tourist place, and there will be those who can't stand the thought of going to a chain restaurant in such a great food city.... 1. Comfort food is sometimes nice and necessary. My meal here was consistent with the best of the brand. 2. Who can resist a cocktail at their bar or a late-night snack on nachos or that brownie sundae? 3. The service here, while spotty, is friendly and energetic. 4. The environment is festive. This location has a smaller bar (and maybe smaller everything) than many locations, yet it is still fun and familiar. read more

Worst meat ever seen in a respected resturant! Tried to order a medium-rare tenderloin. They brought out a grey thin slice of cheap meat that couldn't even be cut with their steak knife. You know what you are getting when it comes to food at the hard rock cafe, I been to many around Europe, the States, Caribbean and Mexico to know that. And usually when I am on the mood for HRC food it always satisfies. Now some buildings of the HRC have left a big impression, this one was the usual good looking Hard Rock Cafe, but no fantastic construction mainly because it is not a free standing building but rather part of an old structure so everything around it is very old Europe. It is conveniently located in a beautiful architectural part of Barcelona. I came here to get my pins from the city, the shop was very busy and filled with tourist, but the lady's at the register where pretty nice and even gave us tourist advice which was a plus and made the experience even better . read more

From time to time, I head to Hard Rock Cafe to grab a bite. It's commendable for its consistency and reliability but hardly worth an uncomfortable wait. The real issue with this visit wasn't the length of the wait but, because of the location so close to Las Ramblas, it was crowded and felt less than secure. read more

The food was good as usual and our waiter wZ great bit there was a 30 minute wait and it turned into one hour 20 minutes. Once they realized they had mistakenly forgotten us they got us in immediately and got our food to us very quickly. It's a touristy place and they are every where bit we were being tourists so it was perfect. read more

I come here when I want a classic all American style hamburger: oozing cheddar cheese, the perfect patty proportion done as you want it, good ole crispy bacon, raw onion, tomato, lettuce, pickle...the works! No one else in town does the classic like HRC! read more

Don't go. Having eaten at several HRCs in the United States, I expected the taste to be consistent, but it seems like the kitchen cuts corners at this location. My wife's veggie burger? Half of the patty was charred. My "Texan" with shredded chicken? Not a spec of BBQ Sauce in sight... it was there for the first bite and then gone. The meat wasn't soaked in it - it was completely dry and not really shredded. Why didn't we send it back? We wanted to, but the service was soooooo slow that we would've had to wait another half hour to eat. We drudged through the meal as we had just walked about 20k and were very hungry. When we mentioned the food quality to our waitress she got defensive and in French (to my wife) she said "You should have sent it back!" No apology, no acknowledgement that the kitchen fucked up. Service and food are very sub-par here. I would definitely NOT recommend going here, unless you just want a drink at the bar served to you by someone who seems like they really don't want to be there and doesn't give a shit about you. And just so you know, it's not our first time... This was our fourth time at this location in the past year - we wanted it to be good, but each time we were disappointed. The time before, we got nachos... little cheese, they didn't give us guacamole, no salsa (I asked, they brought me hot wing sauce... LOL). This last time is our last time. read more

Friendly energetic staff, very welcoming and fun! Just how a great meal should be started! We ordered a couple of Stella Damm's and looked the menu over over we both ordered thing we have ordered before and they were great as usual. Cobb Salad for me and a veggie burger for her. What can we say, a bit of home while away from home. The Hard Rock Café in Barcelona was no different than the others. Good drinks, good burgers and great music. We ordered salads and burgers along with some cocktails. We visited the store for a Barcelona pin and enjoyed our visit. read more

Pretty decent Hard Rock, not too large, filled up rather quickly, nice staff. I had the local legendary burger and it was one of the best two of those I've had. Despite that my waiter explained what was on it, I'm not able to regurgitate the unique/local ingrediants, but it was delicious! The local beer that they had on tap was decent, nothing special though. I recommend the local legendary burger, I'm sure the rest of the food menu is the same as every other Hard Rock, take that how you want. read more

Pretty good. The food was okay but I liked it. Of course it's expensive so just remember that if you are going to come here. The place is pretty big inside, there is a downstairs. There is AC inside expect for in the bathrooms. It was very hot in there. We ate outside because the wait was for 40mins and we had only about 2hrs (we had to catch a plane). The outside area was nice it's a bit small and the tables are a bit crowded but it wasn't a problem. The waiter we had was nice and he spoke Spanish and English. read more

Came to the cafe to meet my friends who were eating here. I didn't plan on eating anything but I did bring a water bottle because I have an infectious disease that requires I hydrate properly. The manager spotted me the minute I started to drink and made a scene and exclaimed that I couldn't drink WATER from a different establishment. This was humiliating and I am very disappointed by the service at this establishment. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

Can't comment on the food since after waiting 30 minutes to even be acknowledged by ANYONE, we left. It's not like we were buried in a corner either; sitting right in front of the bar, along the servers pass. So every single server in the restaurant had to go by us to pick up their drink orders from the bar. read more

However the front of house & waiter were very good, funny, helpful especially as 1 of our party went home ill so had their meal as a take away. Food was great. I love Hamburgers = I love Hard Rock Cafe. I have yet to find a place that beats their burgers! Admintingly, it is expensive...there is no other way to describe this.....but where else would you go in Barcelona to have a great burger, some great Chicken Wings that are truly spicy, etc... There is simply no other place. Just be aware, if you go there during rush hours you will have to wait a bit. Unfortunately, that´s the only downside I can see. Don't expect your usual Hard Rock Cafe quality or tastes!! It was by far my most disappointing eating experience in Barcelona let alone other global Hard Rock Cafe experiences. I ordered Caesar salad and buffalo wings. Chicken was not freshly made but dry. Buffalo sauce was predominantly Tabasco taste like but much milder. The Caesar sauce was so different to any Caesar dressing I've tasted. The Parmesan cheese was rubbery and lacked taste as if laying in the open for days to dry. The blue cheese dip was predominantly mayonnaise lacking the taste resemblance to blue cheese dip. How is Hard Rock accepting this level of quality under its brand name is beyond me. While I am ashamed for eating at a Hard Rock when leaving the U.S to try something new, I am so so sooo happy that we came here one night. The burgers, sandwiches, and appetizers were great. I think this is actually might be the 2nd Hard Rock Cafe I've ever been to. You know me...I was here for my boyfriend's sake - otherwise it's unheard of, and I hate to admit we were here twice. My boyfriend could not do without burgers and American food and I compromised on and putting my foot down on fast food and McDonald's. At the end of the day, it was good food in an indulgent world-wide chain restaurant level. It's comfort food that I appreciated. I have to say the service was nice after all the mediocre reception and language barriers and the prices were decent. I have to admit I hadn't been impressed by any of the tapas restaurants and foods that I've had at other places, so I didn't really mind the change. I had burger and it was pretty good and the chicken tenders too. I'm going to give them a little more credit when I compare it some other places that I've eaten at in Barcelona. read more

Despite the terrible reviews my family and I visited today. Everyone knows Hard Rock Cafe is the place to be, especially here in Barcelona! Our waitress was amazing, tentative and responsive. The drinks were great. I had sangria which actually was a great tasting sangria! Our food was great too! Atmosphere is what you expect live and fun! read more
