This Hard Rock Cafe was very busy. The service was ok. The hamburgers were not cooked at the same standard. My hamburger was well done, my wife's was not. Both ordered well done. The server did not return in time to address the issue, before the end of the meal. No adjustment was made. read more

I love Hard Rock Cafe's and make it a point to visit when traveling. We arrived at this restaurant at 10:00pm and it was just getting started. We were seated immediately and although it was crowded, our server greeted us promptly. The food was delicious and predictable. They have free Wi-Fi, which is always a bonus when traveling. After dinner, we visited the Rock Shop to pick out a pin. Enjoyed our visit and checked it off the list. read more

We expected a lot on Local legendary burger(goat cheese), but was dissapointed. The goat cheese is not strong enough to differentiate this burger from other ordinary ones. We had a much better goat cheese burger at another local cafe. The bread of the burger is not surprising too. The price is also too high for such plain burger. Few good things about Hard rock Barcelona is the atmosphere, and the place is clean (compare with other restaurants in town). I went to a lot of Hard Rock Cafe´s already so I know what to expect. However the one in Barcelona is the worst overall. Waited 10 minutes to be seated because it was packed. The waiter was with us after another 10 minutes. 10 minutes later we got to order and the food came about 50 minutes later which made it a total of 80 minutes. That is just unacceptable. I understand that when a place is packed I will have to wait a while, but when a family that has been seated after us gets their meals before we do then I can´t accept that. Furthermore there was another family sitting right across that were acting like pigs in their natural habitat. Completely disgusting they were shouting and what not. No reactions from the waiters. The food was good but the music was so loud that we couldn´t even have a conversation going. So we were just sitting there staring at one another. I can just suggest that when you´re in Barcelona go enjoy the local restaurants and avoid Las Ramblas at all costs. One of the most horrible places I´ve ever been to. Just needed to cross HRC Barcelona off my list which I did. Not gonna return! read more

Well, ok, it's your average Hard Rock Cafe. People from the U.S. love it - and therefore you'll find plenty of them here - , Europeans something are little more reserved. Sure, the concept is made for tourists and there are a lot of other great places to eat in Barcelona. Hard Rock Cafe is not a tapas bar, that's for sure. BUT: The atmosphere is great. Even though it's always crowed and you can hardly get a table on weekends, it's still worth it, at least to my point of view. Waiters a friendly and visitors from all over the world are always in a great mood. When sports games are on, you can have a hell of a party while enjoying the great food. It's a little pricy, but i simply love the vegetarian burger. Some years ago, after i finished my meal, a tiny little fly landed on my plate. When the waitress, who was just about to take away the dishes, spotted the fly, she apologized and sent over the manager who offered my my (not cheap) meal for free. As i said, there are other great places to eat in Barcelona, but the nice service takes the cake : ) Another plus: This huge and awesome decorated place is located directly at Placa Catalunya, the center of Barcelona. So after a great shopping trip or a walk through the Gothic Quater, you'll find a nice and friendly restaurant with tasty food. One more thing: If it's really crowded and you don't wanna wait at the bar, ask for a beeper. You can hang around outside in the sun till it goes off and your table is ready. So minus the crowd, the touristic stuff and maybe the prices it's still a good choice. And way better than the Hard Rock Cafe in Madrid, which is a lot smaler and you'll have to wait forever for your food. ....................... Zugegeben, es ist halt ein Hard Rock Cafe. Viele Touris sind dort, vor allem Amerikaner. Es hat nichts mit original katalanischer Küche zu tun und natürlich findet man in Barcelona 1000 andere Optionen für gute Küche. Allerdings ist auch der überwiegende Teil der Tapas Bars und Restaurants auf Fremdenverkehr ausgerichtet und nur weil "Original" dran steht, muss es nicht unbedingt gut sein. Ich finde die Stimmung dort immer sehr fröhlich und ausgelassen, das Personal freundlich und habe schon den eine oder anderen Abend mit irgendeinem Sport-Event auf der Großbildleinwand und lustigen Leuten dort erlebt. Am Essen gab es nie etwas zu beanstanden, auch wenn es etwas teurer ist. Nachdem ich einmal meinen heiß geliebten Veggie-Burger verschlungen hatte, setze sich eine winzige Fruchtfliege auf den Teller. Die Kellnerin, die das beim Abräumen bemerkte, entschuldigte sich und holte den Manager, der mir den kompletten Preis des Essens erließ. Am Service gibt es also nichts zu meckern. Nett ist auch die Lage direkt an der Placa Catalunya. Dort ist immer was los und das restaurant ist eine gute Möglichkeit, nach einer Shoppingtour oder einem Streifzug durch's gotische Viertel einen Happen zu Essen. Wenn es mal sehr voll sein sollte, könnt ihr nach einem Pieper fragen. So könnt ihr draußen in der Sonne sitzen und müsst nicht an der Bar warten, während eurer Tisch fertig gemacht wird. Punktabzug gibt es für den touristischen Charakter, die Wartezeit und vielleicht noch den Preis. Der Rest ist aber klasse und der Laden z.B. viel schöner als der in Madrid. read more

Gave one star because I could not give zero. This restaurant has the absolute worst costumer service I have ever experienced. The hostesses were friendly BUT, the manager/bouncer was so incredibly rude the Hard Rock brand will never get my business again. 0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Our experience here made us so uncomfortable that we left without finishing our meal. There was miscommunication when ordering and our server, whose name sounded similar to 'Sky,' thought we wanted two of the same salad entre. We had meant to order one appetizer and one salad, as the portions are large. When two salads were brought out to us we explained to the lady who brought them to us that we had only ordered one and she took the second one away. Our original server came back to our table with the second salad in hand and began to argue with us, insisting that we ordered two. I probably would have just accepted the salad and gotten over it, but I couldn't believe how rude he was being and that we were arguing over a salad. Even as he walked away with the salad, he couldn't refrain from looking back and rudely saying "you did order two," as though needing to have the final word. His attitude ruined the experience for us and we asked for the check right away. Of course, the check had both salads on it. When I asked to speak to a manager, he removed the second salad. Most people say servers in Europe don't feel the need to be nice because they don't work for tips. After two weeks in Europe, this is the only person who was unkind to us.
