When we returned a few days later we were shocked to see the state of things: - Broken fixtures including the shower rods and grommets carelessly tossed in the tubs - Empty beer cans hidden in cabinets - Unflushed feces in the toilet, complete with "splatter" on the seat - Drops of paint all over the hardwood floors - Poor quality painting on the walls, old color showing through - Sloppy lines, paint had dripped on the trim and baseboards - Unpatched picture hanging holes in the drywall - Leftover fast food trash on the kitchen counter We called Danny and expressed our concerns. He made a bunch of excuses, refusing to accept any responsibility for the poor job performed and the absolute disregard for our home. We had to hire another company to come fix the paint job and house cleaners to come clean up the mess and scrape the paint drops off the floors. I had the pleasure of plunging the toilet and wiping dried feces off the toilet seat. It was a nightmare. I would not trust him to cut my lawn. He undercut his competitors pricing and now I see why. Communication was always professional and friendly. The punch list was handled with ease and speed. Prices are reasonable. It is difficult to choose paint colors from small swatches, and they have a novel way to handle that. They applied part of each color to be sure we liked it, and were very accommodating even though we changed our minds on everything at least once. The only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because of schedule. They have a small crew, and the job went on much longer than we thought it would. So if you're in a hurry, you might want to look elsewhere. But if you have time and patience, you will get a terrific paint job and all around experience. We will definitely hire them again.

We hired Performance Painting & Renovations in 2013 to do interior painting and exterior…read morerenovations. We also hired them prior to then to do exterior painting and exterior renovations. To our surprise the paint that Carl, the owner recommended has lasted until now. That's 4 years later. We got multiple estimates of the price to do the work and Performance came in competitively but reasonably lower. Additionally, Performance did work that was needed but not discovered until after the project had begun for which no additional charges were assessed. There was one very minor oversight which I attributed to the employee's miscommunication BUT as soon as it was brought to Carl's attention was promptly corrected. I can't hold that against Performance because I've never hired a perfect contractor and there are no flawless humans, including myself. To me the difference between an average contractor and an excellent one is how they resolve inevitable issues that may arise and Performance get FIVE STARS for that!!! I definitely plan to hire Performance again and highly recommend them. SUGGESTION: I've had greatest success with contractors in general when EVERYTHING I expect to be done is written in detail and mutually agreed upon before the job starts. Carl is a "people" person and easy to talk with. If you do this when you hire Performance you'll be satisfied when the project is complete.

Well one of his employees told me that Carl had specifically instructed him to not ever talk to me but if I ever were to ask how long he'd been with Carl to lie and tell me that he'd been there awhile when it was actually his first day and he had never painted professionally before. As the job wore on and there were mistakes after mistakes, my outlets have a border of old paint, all my switches and stuff have paint on them. They got paint on some tables and furniture. I spoke further with the nice, hopelessly inept man and he told me that Carl meets his employees at gas stations, offers them above average under the table pay as long as they obey his rules, which turn out to be to lie for him. I spoke with a few people that I had heard used him and they all told me that they had learned their entire crew was different than the one I had and we realized he hires for each job without even knowing anything about his employees.
