The restaurant is good with the duck being awesome. I would recommend the pork pops with hot sauce and blue cheese appetizer as well. The wedge salad unfortunately had brown lettuce but otherwise the meal was really good. The service was good. We stayed for the Halloween festivities. The presentation of the food corpse was outstanding. The Music left something to be desired.

A gem to find in this small. Molly and Macy, the mixologist were great, in fact all the staff seemed really nice, helpful & worked great as a team, great management. Of course dinner was delicious, flavorful, plus presentation on all food, compliments to the chef, all looked delicious, as I sat at the bar, watching it all go out from the kitchen that was working really well and hard. A must visit even if driving through for the night. I don't need to wish the new resturant all the best, as there do great! BTW, fresh flowers had a nice touch.

We really enjoyed Harding. It was beautifully decorated with a casual yet stylish decor. There is a small shop inside, which was closed when we got there, but one can still view the goods. Paintings on the wall are gorgeous and many are for sale. Our waitress was very friendly and happy to answer any questions we had. My Mom and I ordered the Lavender Fields cocktail and as a table we ordered the Logan Logs with green chili. Personally, the green chili was a bit to spicy for me, but despite that, and popular opinion at the table, was that it was very flavorful. My Dad and I both ordered the Grilled Wild Caught Salmon. Every bite was spectacular! My Husband had the Wagyu Burger, and he scarfed it down quite quickly. He really enjoyed it. My Mom had the Fried Chicken Dinner, and despite it being a bit too big for her she really loved it. Our waitress had informed the chef that our table raved about the green chili and he came out to see us. He was very friendly and talked about the history of the building and its journey to now. We are super excited about this place and we have plans to return next month when my Parents come for another visit. Thank you all so much for the wonderful experience!!!

Came here on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving around lunchtime, noonish. We believe that we were the only two patrons at the time, maybe a large party in the back of the restaurant. We did not venture to the back of the restaurant so we are not 100% certain about that statement. A simple menu, with many, what seem to be tasty food options. We were both looking for a hamburger, so that's what we ordered. We were asked how we would like the burgers cooked, two choices, pink or no pink. We went with pink. After roughly 20 minutes, our food arrived. The burger was fresh off the grill, it was very hot, and "no pink", the two potato wedges that we each received were warm at best. See picture attached, it even says on the receipt that she requested that our burgers have a pink center. WARNING, you must ask for the following condiments for this particular meal: onions, lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard. Keep in mind if you ask for ketchup, it comes in packets. I believe the packets came from the Rio Grande train or Sonic. I can't tell. The ketchup came out, three packets for four potato wedges. When we asked for more ketchup and some raw onions, our waitress had asked the kitchen about the onions, she's been working here since March, and didn't know if we could get onions or not. But when she did come back with the ketchup, she told us these were the last three packets of ketchup that were available. The burger was amazing, even though it was not cooked to our request; pink, it was still very tasty. Our server did a great job, and was very cordial, polite l, and did an overall great job. TAKE AWAY: if you want any condiments with your food that you may think requires condiments, ask ahead of time when ordering. BOTTOMLINE: I would come back here again and try the burger again, making sure that I asked ahead of time for what I wanted to complement it at time the of ordering.

Rum cocktail with lemon and a passion fruit vanilla ginger soda, usually come with bourbon but they had no problem switching it out to rum

Food is excellent. It's the best in Cañon City. It's a place that has been needed here. I hope they keep it going like it is.

It is a beautiful space with the original restored bar the centerpiece of space. We just had cocktails, but you can get a limited menu here too. For cocktails I tried one of their specialty drinks the Cowboy Jam (which actually has blackberry jam in it). It sounded odd, but was actually just a little fruity and sweet with a punch of booze. The hubby stuck to whiskey sours and loved them (they will make them with or without egg whites). For my last cocktail I just did an old fashioned with house bourbon and it was wonderful. They really made a balanced cocktail (not too sweet, just a hint of orange and bitters). Comfy barstools, friendly staff and big windows to people watch on the street. Or just take your drink into the very plush and welcoming hotel lobby. I loved it and wished we had come sooner, we will definitely be back and recommend it to others.

I asked for more rinds to go with my chili. I received 4, yes 4 on a plate. The pork had so much fat on it, I was having to cut it off with a knife before I could eat it. The bill came, I was totally shocked, I was charged $4.00 for the 4 pork rinds that were brought to me on a plate. I wasn't told there was an extra charge for more crackles. I was upset that the waitress, never said there was an extra charge, charging a $1.00 per pork rind is ridiculous. I was NOT impressed to say the least. We drove from Colorado Springs, I won't be coming back. I make better chili, no fat, just great flavor.

Definitely a disappointing way to start my b-day thanks Royal Gorge wish you told me the Restaurant is closed because then I would have done something different instead of going to a gas station for a bag of chips and cancelling my trip. I'll go somewhere else that I can enjoy my B-Day and Breakfast/Brunch. Thanks a lot for ruining my B-Day I just wanted a simple relaxing day to myself to enjoy a nice breakfast and train ride before going to work tomorrow but nope you have made it suck again thanks a lot for nothing but a waste of time. Now they told me they are not refunding my money so I lost out not only the money but the pleasant experience on my B-Day worst day ever. I absolutely DO NOT RECOMMEND ROYAL GORGE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF AND DISAPPOINTED

Nestled among the peaks of the Sawatch Range, where tumbleweeds might theoretically roll if they weren't caught in the spokes of a passing bicycle, sits an establishment of peculiar perfection: The Biker & The Baker. My compass has unerringly pointed to their door every single time I visit Salida over the past five years. It is a tradition forged in sugar and chain grease, where the rugged American West meets the precision of French pastry. Pairing high-desert riding with artisanal baking seems like a recipe for a pile-up, but the execution here is a sweet ride. You will find aerodynamic cyclists sitting elbow-to-elbow with flannel-draped modern prospectors, united by a singular quest for butter. The Biker handles the gears, the Baker handles the tiers. They aren't just coasting on charm; they are pedaling toward culinary triumph, baking up a storm that rivals the monsoons over the Arkansas River. The confections are miniature monuments to indulgence. I have routinely panned for gold in this valley, but the true motherlode is their lemon tart--a symmetrical marvel of citrus striking like a high-noon sun. Their charcuterie boards are arranged with the geometric exactitude of a surveyor mapping a railroad. Whether you are gearing up to summit Mount Shavano or recovering from a grueling promenade, this sanctuary provides the requisite fuel. It is the exceedingly charming destination itself.
