Hurricane Ditka Breakfast Burrito

This is a regular stop when I'm visiting Salida, it's great at any time of day whether you're looking for brunch and an excellent drip coffee or an evening cocktail, you won't be disappointed. If you're around for brunch, the yogurt bowl with house-made granola and lemon curd is a non negotiable. Looking forward to trying out their "dinner" menu, it looks great for some charcuterie and drinks. Try the rooftop patio with beautiful views if the weather is on your side.

Cool place for breakfast/brunch. The menu is very unique and they have pretty large portions. I tried The Hot Mess and it was very good. The el pastor was excellent.

Breakfast nachos

Cute spot and we got in relatively quickly for a table of 5 on a Saturday morning. The breakfast nachos were super tasty (the chips were a tad burnt though) and the sandwich was amazing. Overall great experience

Scone and mocha

Delicious scone! No icing on top so I was thrilled! Tasty mocha. I sat in their main area, one floor up from Sweeties, but the rooftop area is with a beautiful view! Good service.

Great find, thank you, Yelp! A handful of us were in town for a getaway weekend and looking for a great brunch spot to get some breakfast cocktails and a home-cooked meal. We found it at The Biker and the Baker! We sat downstairs in the Sweetie's dining room, which was a little weird at first but worked out just fine. I felt bad for our waiter, who had to run up and down the stairs all day. We ordered various delicious drinks, from cocktails to coffee drinks and even one of their Turn Up the Beet juices, and none of them disappointed. We also tried a wide array of food, from sweet to savory. Everything we ordered was excellent. I had the Hot Mess, and it was exactly the stick-to-the-bones kind of meal I was looking for. The upstairs was cute. This is where The Biker and the Baker is technically located, but so was the area they share with the business downstairs. I would recommend enjoying brunch with The Biker and the Baker, and I can't wait to pop in again soon.

I think I've reviewed once before but to update this is such an excellent establishment, sincerely one of the best breakfasts I've ever had anywhere. This is a treat anytime I'm driving up to the San Luis valley, Salida is such a beautiful town and this spot feels like the heartbeat. The staff is sweet and attentive, this spot is busy so get in whenever you're in town and enjoy all the baked goods and savory breakfast plates they offer !!! So good

The Biker & The Baker was such a unique experience! I absolutely loved the decor inside and the unassuming aesthetic as you walk up the stairs to the second level. You're instantly greeted with warmth and given menus. I was immediately drawn to the eggs benedict with dill hollandaise, prosciutto, arugula, and goat cheese. I mean... who wouldn't be? I'm so happy I ordered it! They opened up my taste palette to recognize that dill hollandaise might just be the BEST! I devoured this meal and can't wait to enjoy it again. The eggs were cooked so perfectly too. I also ordered an iced rose matcha latte and the sweeteness, taste, and rose garnish was beautiful. I can't wait to go back! This spot was a great find!

Biscotti old fashioned

Our party of four stopped in here for cocktails on a Friday night around 6. Luckily there was no wait and they were able to put a table together. I ordered a biscotti old fashioned which was subtlety sweet with the biscotti flavor and tasty. I really enjoyed my husbands tequila palisade peach drink - he's usually not a tequila drinker but everything else in the drink sounded good and it was! The service was great - staff was super attentive the whole time. Looking forward to coming back here when we're in Salida.

Service was outstanding. The rooftop was gorgeous. From the food to the views to the service, everything was 5 stars. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Salida.

Check out these tequilas!

Such a great breakfast and the sourdough was awesome. And can't beat the rooftop view of the mountain - perfect way to start the day.

1. Atmospheres: Fantastic layout, very clean and great music (just the right volume to hear it but…read morehave a conversation). We sat at the bar because we heard great things about the happy hour from the locals. 2 Food: We researched before coming to Breckenridge what place had the best burger and Aurum's French Onion Burger came up at the top of the list. It did not disappoint. It was cooked to perfection (we like medium rare) and the sea salt french fries were delicious (no condiments needed for the burger or the fries)!! 3. Employees: The Hostess was friendly and got us seated right away. The Bartenders (Mike and George) made our evening a blast. Mike Ruda has a signature drink on the menu that he created called the Duck Fat Cadillac and it is a home run cocktail (10 out 10)!! George Johnson is a great conversationalist and is engaged with the customers. We showed him a twist to our favorite drink back home in San Antonio, the Carajillo and he made it perfectly! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Breckenridge and make sure you grab a seat at the bar and enjoy the conversations and the Duck Fat Cadillac!!

Now I recommend going early for happy hour or making reservations. We were heading out around 5:30pm and there was no seating available. For happy hour I had a glass of Rosé and lemon parmesan fries. The food, people, and ambiance were so amazing, we made dinner reservations for the whole fam. Luckily there was availability. That night we were sat promptly when we arrived and the table was set up with menus and water waiting for us. For appetizer, we started off with the Parker House rolls with the house honey butter and OMG those rolls are so fluffy and delicious. Highly suggest getting the rolls if you like bread. The butter complimented the bread beautifully. I started off the night with the blackberry smash with tequila and it was delicious. Just the right combo of sweetness. For entree we went with their Pasta Rotante which for the night was a crazy flavor combo of tomato, pumpkin seeds, crunchy carrot strings, sage and chicken sausage. I'm probably missing other ingredients, but it was a dance of flavors on the tongue. Our waiter recommended pairing this with a glass of Pinot Noir and it was the perfect compliment.

Stopped in for some late night bites…read more Vibe: Comfy with lots of table, couch, and comfy chair options. Dim mood lighting. Board games and little free library inside. Good music. Overall a very good vibe and very inviting to hang out. Service: Friendly and fast Food: Menu is definitely a step above your classic bar food, I got a sandwich special and steak tips. The sandwich was a grilled cheese croissant that included smoked gouda and balsamic reduction and it was really good. The steak tips were okay, decent flavor, a little chewy, maybe because they were cut so small? Value: Total after tip was $30ish for a 'just right' portion so may a little over valued. Overall this place was such a good vibe with chill staff and good food.
