They sell beautiful roses here. Have a large selection of type and color. Staff is very knowledgeable and will answer all questions in order to get your rose garden going. I am a first time gardener and what I have learned from the staff has helped me a lot. I plan to buy all my roses for my new rose garden from here because they look much better than Home Depot and those other chain stores. If u like roses/gardening this nursery is worth a stop

The Most Knowledgeable, Helpful Owners and Best Rose Selection in the Area! ***They are only open on Saturdays from 8-4PM so mark your calendar*** When you pull in the small lot off of very, very South Dale Mabry (almost to the Base!) your first impression is a riot of color! After a minute your vision begins to pick out separate roses that draw your eye due to color or shape and you begin to smile! Hardin's has a huge variety of roses packed into a concentrated area which is such a luxury to browse. The Hardin siblings and family still own and manage the rose nursery started by their parents decades ago - the knowledge and care shows! If you do not see them out among the roses then you can find them in the building on the NE corner. You can't miss it, but can always look for Schultz the 16 year old Aussie Shepherd cooling himself under a fan by the door. If you prefer to browse first, they freely let you take your time while always being available to answer questions or make suggestions. The staff have become gems of hidden knowledge relative to the plants and are very friendly and generous in sharing that knowledge and their time. There is nothing like being able to look at the full size plants in bloom to know whether that one is the right fit and no one around has the selection and variety that is on view at Hardin's! I just started growing roses a few months ago so have become something of a regular on Saturdays as I plan out a new flower bed or look for a climbing rose. I continue to be pleasantly amazed at how helpful, friendly and, yes - patient!, the Hardins and their staff are each time! I do my research in advance and come in with a list of roses that I hope will thrive in Florida's sandy soil, heat and drought or perhaps I want one that will bloom in total shade!! ;-) Each time they show me the best fits for my location or need and suggest alternatives that usually end up better than all of my research results - Amazing and appreciated!! If you need me on Saturday morning, look among the roses at Hardin's! ;-) Enjoy!!

It was so fun to walk around and see all of the unique plants and descriptions of what type of bird or butterfly is attracted to them. I could spend hours just learning. We took a special walk through their bug and reptile area. I did not think I would linger there but found myself very interested in what they have. Everything is clean and well maintained. They have a special butterfly taxidermy area that is also worth opening the drawers to view. I was there for the open butterfly garden and it didn't disappoint. Since they are not trapped there, it is all natural and the butterflies come and go. We saw quite a few in a very short time. I thought I knew a lot about butterfly's that I host in my own garden but wow I learned much more! They have a wonderful gift shop as you are walking out of the exhibit. Worth a browse for sure.

Great spot for local/native plants…read more I like all of the variety and the staff is nice... when I walked in, Max greeted me after I was already perusing around and I spoke with him about a couple of things I was interested in that were not stocked. Someone got back with me a few days later and left a message. Nice that I actually got the call back. Some places I've been to, I did not receive a call back on being able to source a couple of things. I would definitely come back and purchase some plants.

They have an amazing assortment of colors, patterns, and sizes. I bought several from the Tyrone location and two From the Westshore store. The prices are fair considering the size and decorations on the pots. The staff in both locations were friendly and very helpful, putting the heavy pots in my car for me and separating them with cardboard to ensure they didn't chip. Overall a very nice experience!

Located south of Kennedy on West Shore Blvd, it was very easy to find, and they had plenty of parking in front of their store & garden. The business actually consists of a couple of buildings, sheds, and the garden. One building held mostly items for outdoor use, while the other building contained pots and accessories for indoor use. While I was walking through the garden, one of the Owners called over to ask if I needed any help, and steered me in the directions of their pots. They had an enormous selection of pots in every size. I especially loved that they had them grouped by color, which makes it incredibly convenient if you are in the market for something specific. I was looking for the Mexican pottery, and that was housed in a separate shed, with additional items in their main store. There was a wide variety of sizes and patterns to choose from, and I quickly stocked up. Reasonable prices, very friendly Owners, and a huge selection means this store and nursery will definitely be part of my regular must-visit rotation.

Megan asked me to send her a picture of the one I wanted. She asked the tone/color and I said the exact same color as the one In the picture. Now, the original was real flowers and I asked for fake flowers so I knew there would be small differences such as colors. What I didn't expect is for Megan to completely change the design of the arrangement. She never mentioned to me that she was changing it so I was very disappointed when I opened my package. For $329 dollars for a bouquet, bout and shipping... you would think it would be mentioned that you will be getting something different than what was agreed upon. I notified her that this isn't what I asked for and provided screenshots of our convo and what I received. She told me she structurally had to change it due to the fake flowers. Which I was never informed of during our initial conversation or her putting it together that the design would be changing. I told her she did false advertising.. she then said she disagreed and that she made a custom one for me. I never wanted a "custom" one nor was that discussed either. I wasn't reimbursed for her mistakes. If you are looking at the photos- the original design had pearls as "steams." Mine has them coming out of the flower top with less flowers cascading. Now if this was a $50 bouquet then I would have said whatever but it was $250 for the bouquet.
