I have visited a few times, and every time, the staff are incredibly helpful. They have one of the best diverse selections of native plants in the area. The information on the signs is great if you are interested in attracting wildlife. The ever expanding reptile/insect/amphibian collection is so fun and definitely worth the cost to explore. The animals are well cared for with great enclosures. It's a great opportunity to see some of Florida's amazing non venomous, native snakes up close.

All kinds of butterfly host and nectar plants at Little Red Wagon Nursery

They get 5 stars from me because it's more than just a native plant nursery. I was also surprised that they had so many butterfly host plants that I could only dream of having in my garden one day. Along with many nectar plants that would please a large amount of butterflies, bees, moths, hummingbirds, and just all types of birds in general. I was also happy to see that they were breeding south Florida butterflies such as Julia and I think I even saw a Miami Blue butterfly (or maybe a butterfly that looks like it). I've never seen either butterfly in the Tampa area. What is so cool is that they have an indoor area where they have these butterflies in various stages of their life cycle. They also had reptiles in aquariums at my last visit. It's totally educational. I think what really got my attention was the various pawpaw shrubs and trees. I've been wanting to attract more zebra swallowtails to my garden and this is the way to do it. I just want a smaller or dwarf variety of pawpaw that doesn't produce a lot of fruit. They didn't have the flag pawpaw but I was told they do get them from time to time. They did have a small flower pawpaw but they warned me that the tap root is quite long so you have to make sure you plant it in the right spot because you won't be able move it anywhere once that plant is established. The staff is so very knowledgeable and friendly. I did end up getting a couple of Stoke's Aster plants. One of them is already blooming after I planted it. It's such a pretty flower. They have an awesome website as well that shows what they have in stock. I'm going to keep checking it periodically for the flag pawpaw. Oh, and I almost forgot to mention they have a gift shop with lots of cool gardening décor, and host many events. Check out their monthly newsletter.

These plants are mentioned to be drought tolerate on the label though I watered them or left the smaller ones in a pot with an inch of water at the bottom. No matter what I did, they began looking unhealthy or getting smaller and smaller or deteriorated into almost nothing, even when I planted and watered them. I cant take a photo of nothing but perhaps I have the empty pots somewhere. The only thing looking good is the elderberry, still in the original pot as I haven't been decided a spot for it yet. These that whittle away were drought tolerate though I watered them when I watered the elderberry. The purple thistle leaves have brown spots in them are are simply unhealthy looking. I would think FF plants would do better than random cuttings I received from friends.

Take the kids on this plant shopping trip! Family fun and educational experience, as several butterfly gardens underway in gift shop. Kids see all stages of growth and staff helps select native plants to get your butterfly experience underway. Proceeds benefit Tampa Bay Butterfly Foundation. Featured on Tampa Bay News on Earth Day with easy access off Henderson. Gift shop has trendy items perfect for Mother's Day or gift baskets including gardening tools. Parking lot is small. Suggest ordering on line and letting staff deliver your order car side in a little red wagon. Support a local business that is very reasonably priced. If you have specific types of milkweed or other native plants in mind check on line first or call to reserve your order to confirm in stock. We planned on car side pick up but went inside and enjoyed talking to staff. So helpful and knowledgeable.

The "We Don't Do Sales" Mall…read more Yesterday was Mother Daughter Day and after not seeing my mother for over 30 days I wanted to give her a proper Tampa day. The bay, the walkways, some shopping, and a stop at Columbia Restaurant which honestly was not good. Then we went to International Plaza and Bay Street thinking we would do what we always do. Browse, hunt, and find something great on sale. That is how WE shop. We walked into Altar'd State and asked where the sale section was. We were told they do not do sales there. Not even a small rack in the back. .. thought maybe it's just that store Then we went into Dillard's and asked the same question. The woman looked us up and down like we had three heads and gave us the same answer. Finally I made the realization . . This mall is built for people who pay full price and do not question it. To be fair, it is beautiful. Clean, polished, very well put together. A strong mix of stores and a surprising number of high end brands. Completely different than what I expected and it threw me off my game. But there is no thrill here. No hunt. No digging. No moment where you find that one piece that makes the whole trip worth it. Have fun shopping at full price here. I am not one of those people. I do not pay full retail ever and I am not starting now. And I know plenty of wealthy people who can afford to pay full price and they will not do it either. They know better.

It's been a while since I've been here and they definitely have a wide variety of stores. We did stop by and see the Easter bunny. The staff was super nice. They were doing a little dances and keeping the kids entertained. Also, we did find the coffee shop called E bar near Nordstrom. Which was pretty good actually. For lunch, we did stop at the food court, but I wouldn't eat there again. The food was terrible at wok o holic. There is better food outside the food court.

We were first greeted by the kindness of her staff-warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming from the moment we walked in. And then owner Carmen Barkett came to greet us in the gallery, and the space shifted in the most beautiful way. Carmen is deeply in tune with her passion and her joy, and just as intentional about making sure people feel truly good in her presence. She spent time with us walking through the gallery, sharing unique and wonderful stories about the art the artists and her journey-how she procured both buildings, stepped away for ten years, and found her way back to reopen ArtsiPhartsi. It was inspiring in a quiet, meaningful way. This past year has been challenging for me, and I didn't realize how much I needed to be in the presence of someone like Carmen until I was. After the gallery, we sat together in her whimsical garden and simply talked. No agenda. Just conversation, connection, and a sense of calm I didn't know I was missing. ArtsiPhartsi is not just an art gallery or a gift shop--it's something far more special- a true destination a respite from the crazy world around us. The art is beautiful, the gifts are wonderful, but the greatest gift of all was the cherished time spent with Carmen. She is authentic, beautiful, warm, loving, inspirational, and truly one of a kind. If you're in Tampa, you MUST visit this very special place! Don't let it slip by- you will thank me and Carmen!

You may want to personalize your own tumbler. I've had excellent customer service when I call the Customer Service toll free number. They haven't hesitated to replace my defective lids in the past. I recommend you activate your product warranty when you buy a tumbler. I'll be contacting them soon to activate mine. I'm obsessed with making tea and keeping a week supply of tumblers in my refrigerator during warm weather. I just bought two more tumblers. I found one of the traditional tumblers online at NHL Shop. While I was at it I bought one of the new versions. Thank goodness they provide a video on the website because the new tumblers have a lot of features. I don't use a straw so I was glad I could convert it to a chugging bottle! I'm recommending Tervis for cold drinks. I know they can be used for hot drinks but I prefer stainless steel for those. I definitely recommend you visit the nearest store when you are in Florida. Thanks to my Yelp Friend Stacy I found this location!
