We had purchased a home but were still commuting, and we got a ticket from our HOA because we hadn't edged our lawn and had seven days to cure the infraction. The flowers which surrounded the house were a mess, and a magnolia tree in the backyard hadn't been trimmed for years. We looked through the Green World Landscaping website and were encouraged by the photos and started an email conversation with Joel. He and his team took care of the entire project, and went above and beyond, mucking out weeds, realigning the flower bed boarders, trimming the tree back to get a fresh new start, and did a beautiful job. When we decided to surround the house with pavers, we of course called Joel because all the hardscaping work we had seen him do was thoughtful and lovely, and he came over and his vision was immediately clear. He suggested a color to complement our home (and conform to community standards), and a pattern and brand which is beautifully designed and has a solid reputation. He and his team were timely, careful with our home, thorough, and they cleaned up every inch of the property before leaving. The artistry of the pavers is stunning. The mosaic at the front door was cut in real time as the pavers were being laid, and set so thoughtfully at the front door, it's a treasure. They also buried our downspout drains and solved a lot of ponding issues that have been going on for years. Again, above and beyond in the designing of the project. It feels like Joel takes as good care of our home as he would his own. We can't recommend Joel and Green World Landscaping more highly. Joel is a good man, and his team is tops.

And secondly--and most important--Sharper Image ACTUALLY care about customers being happy with their services. I hired Sharper Image to dig up 4 trees which despite ArborCare services were in decline due to very poor soil and drainage conditions. The trees were dug up, to enlarge holes and berm them higher so that roots sat above wet spots and had more and better quality soil in which to expand. About a week following this service, the Delmarva area was hit with heavy rain. When the rain subsided, 3 of the 4 trees were fine, but one had sunk down to its original grade, likely because the soils had not been adequately compacted prior to backfilling. I took photos of all 4 trees and sent them to Sharper Image with a request they remedy the situation without any additional cost to me. To my very pleasant surprise co-owner, Keith, said: "No problem. I'll send the guys back out to fix it." And he did. No fuss. No haggling. Just doing the right thing. The workers came back, dug up that tree again, added more soil, used a hand tamping tool to compact soil before replanting the tree. I could not have asked for more. So.... if any homeowners out there have need for similar service, then Sharper Image is your firm. With Sharper Image "customer satisfaction" isn't just a catchy marketing slogan. Not only did they fail to follow the agreed-upon dimensions, but the slab ended up being out of square, uneven, and clearly not level. This caused major issues for the next phase of the project. On top of the poor workmanship, Liberty Concrete and home Enhancements LLC was incredibly unprofessional. Robert Hammond (one of the owners) used vulgar language and even resorted to name-calling when I notified him that Sussex County failed the footing inspection. Robert's lack of respect and professionalism made the situation even more frustrating. I would not recommend Liberty Concrete and Home Enhancements LLC to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled contractor. If you're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and treats their clients with respect, LOOK ELSEWHERE! The experience of dealing with Robert and this company has been a complete disappointment. Fortunately, another company was able to work around their screw ups. Now to further fix Liberty's screw up we will be hiring a Landscaper to "hide" the poor curb appeal caused by this company! Perhaps before you call anyone a liar why don't we take a look at the text between us with you admitting to your fault, the proposed completed structure as submitted to Sussex County, and also the failed first footing inspection which you claim didn't happen. Robert, this has gone on far to long, maybe instead of wasting your energy in trying to discord our honest review about the work you have done for us, you should move on. We have owned our mistake of not doing a vigorous search to review your business before hiring you. Going forward we certainly will not hire any contractor without first doing an extensive search of reviews. If you want to post pics of work another contractor done to fix your screwups then by all means go for it. As for the paperwork, each document is fact including your failed footer inspection you claimed didn't happen. This particular document was taken from the Sussex County website. Now are you going to claim the county is lying as well? I am not going to continue back and forth with you and will not engage in your childish tantrums. The public can come to their own conclusion. My review is honest and backed up with documents. You seem to have a problem owning your mistakes.
