He didn't put a membrane under parts of the main bathroom floor, so all those tiles cracked on the floor cracked within a couple years. I had to call someone to repair the tiles. They cracked again. The shower slope was completely off so all the water drained into the corner of the shower. It pooled up and we had to squeeqee it for years. I called Chuck and sent him pictures of the terrible job. He sent a guy back out who demo'd some of the shower floor and slapped it back together worse than the first time. PHOTOS: Notice the cracked floor. Notice the water stains where the water clearly pooled up in the corner from an incorrect slope. Notice the cheap plastic he used for the shower pan. The shower pan liner tore, maybe during the demo mess they had to do to fix their first error. So all the water not only pooled to one corner, but it all got trapped under the liner. The water then mixed with the mud underneath and became a black mold nightmare. Smelled like sulfur with every shower. I lived with this mess for years. Way longer than I should have, so it's probably my fault for not just demo'ing the whole shower and starting over--which I recently did, using a professional company with a lifetime warranty. I called Chuck up recently to let him know that I was still dealing with his mess a THIRD time after 10 years. I just wanted him to know that his work was sub-par. He almost came by to look at it, but I think he realized he would be held responsible. Or maybe he was too embarrassed to see what his company did. He said he'd call me back. Never called back. He stopped responding to text messages. Again, probably for the best. I don't think I needed to see him again. My advice to you: Do NOT use Chuck Caudill for anything related to tile, flooring, or your house. He'll show up in a fancy car and hat, get the job, overcharge you, skimp on the materials, and you'll be stuck with a GIANT MESS within a couple years.

My partner and I recently bought a custom home in Round Rock and was connected through High Tech Flooring and Design to look at the different options and upgrades that we could include the house. The representative was super nice and supportive in helping us pick our our design and going through all the options to have available. In the sense, we also felt compelled to upgrade both the carpet and Padding, specifically the spill guard and upgraded carpet pile lengths. After 2 months later, and closing on the house, we noticed one of our floor was really squeaky and had to pull up the carpet to make sure we can drill it in.... and upon inspection, we realized what was installed was not the correct padding or carpet length. (Pictures displayed between sample and our carpet padding.) Spillguard is on the left (what we ordered). WE would not have known if we didn't have to also fix the squeaky floors - It's been difficult to get them to verify the correct padding, and getting a response from the office on how we can get it resolved. We brought it up, and requested that they bring in movers to help move the furniture and replace it, we're still in the process. They also had movers who wouldn't move back everything as requested - which made it difficult since my partner just had surgery on a torn ACL which meant we still had to request friends to support for something the company did wrong. They would also not verify the correct carpet that we upgraded. At this point, we believe this may have been an intentional intent to help save the company money. I believe they were banking that the new home builders would not have checked on the material that they purchased to help save on costs. MY recommendation - For anyone ordering carpet from High Tech Flooring, make sure you have proper documentation and verify when they are installing to ensure the correct flooring during the process.

Horton home, and the doors, door frames, walls, baseboards, quarter round, and flooring was in absolute perfect condition. Shortly after close, I hired High Tech Flooring & Design to replace the carpet in all bedrooms, closets, and master bathroom with the same flooring installed in the main areas of my home. I am HORRIFIED to say that they did a HORRENDOUS job and are refusing to repair the damages, which amount to the cost of the entire installation based on a quote received from a trusted third party general contractor. When I went to inspect the home, I was appalled to find the floors and baseboards covered in sawdust, the walls, doors, door frames, baseboards, and quarter round damaged. The wall texture has been damaged, there are marks, smears, and scrapes on the walls. The baseboards are absolutely shot to hell with dents, black scuffs and scrapes, the boards are splitting where they meet quarter round. The quarter round was installed so badly that it is splitting where it meets the baseboard, doesn't even flush with the baseboard, and there are exposed nails and wood chipping off the quarter round and baseboards. My bedroom doors have chunks coming out of them where the installers knocked the flooring into the door, and all door frames have chunks missing or have been scuffed, marked, dented, and damaged. They also uninstalled my toilet and attempted to reinstall it. However, I have zero confidence that they reinstalled it properly based on the abominable work performed thus far. As such, they need to hire a professional plumbing company to reinstall the toilet properly. When I confronted the project manager, Enrique Juarez, he told me I should expect damages and it was on me to cover the repairs. I attempted to reach his superior but am currently being stonewalled by the company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, as they are not ethical and do not care about the quality of services they provide, or in this case, didn't provide.

There are three things that really set millennium above our expectations…read more 1) Communication and collaboration were just outstanding. From start to finish we really felt like Stefan and his team were partners with us. They helped us select the right flooring even though it was ultimately less expensive than what we originally thought we would go with. Never did we feel like we were being up sold or pressured. 2) Delivery and quality. Stefan personally walked the job before and after everything was done. They did not ask for final payment until we were completely satisfied. Scheduling was awesome. They worked around all of our challenges and hit our target start and completion dates with precision. This was super valuable because it did not delay our move-in date. 3) Remarkable, genuine, and lasting Customer Service. This is the third thing, but probably the most important. It has been over a year since they installed our floors. We have called them back three times now for help with little things that we did not anticipate. Stefan and his team continue to provide excellent customer service even though there really isn't much money in it for them. For example, we remodeled our bathroom and needed a new transition because the elevation of our bathroom floor changed. It's like a $50 product that surely they don't make much money on. The key decision I settled on Millennium was their in-house hardwood engineered floors....9.5 inches wide coated with polyurethane, European hardwood, and it is astoundingly beautiful. Pricing for this would have gone more than 13 to 16 dollars per sq ft at other stores if I selected a name brand. Let's just say that their pricing was far less and that you'll be hard pressed to find something of this quality at any other store in the area at this price range. Don't let the visuals in the store fool you into thinking that the wood is too wide and long. Buying hardwood flooring is like buying a tv set. It can never be big enough :) The quality of the work was also fantastic. Home depot and lowes saw the picture of my stairs and mentioned that it wasn't possible to work on because of the bottom step. There's no way to replace the bottom step and re-engineer with the new wood. The team did an amazing job overlaying the wood and reconstructing a new stair on top of my existing stair. It was absolutely unbelievable. In sum, I'm very happy about my purchase and am glad to have worked with Stephan, a very passionate, kind, and reasonable business owner who treats his customers right. I wouldn't hesitate to go with Stephan again in the future for any needs I have.

I would have to text or email MULTIPLE times to get a response from Cristy. The finish work was awful. Within a few months, the floors started lifting and separating. When her husband came and looked at the floors, he said to me the person who installed my floors installed theirs and they had the same problem. When I asked why he was still working for them, he ignored the question and kept talking. After some back and forth, they agreed to redo the living room, hallway and laundry room. My bedroom, at the time, seemed fine. They did not redo the laundry room as promised. I had to wait several weeks for the transition pieces and then I had to contact Cristy to find out the status. They left my house FILTHY!! They didn't even bother sweeping the floors. The stuff they used to level the floors - which should have been done the first time - was all over my baseboards. It's had dried and most of it never came off. August/September 2023 my bedroom floors started lifting and separating badly - as did the living room again and laundry room got worse as it was not actually redone. I reached out again asking for a refund given all the issues. Cristy said she didn't have the money as she was now more in a consulting role. I then asked for all the floor to be replaced at no charge. She went silent again. I tired to file a complaint with the BBB but it was 2 months outside the 1 year timeframe so I couldn't. I made one last plea for her to do something to make this right. She said she would see what could be done and I never heard from her again. I finally sent one last email saying I didn't have the heart or strength to deal with this anymore. I paid $8,840.09 and my floors are awful and nothing I can do about it at this point.
