There is still a large selection of books and seating. There are four quiet rooms, the Maryland room and additional seating throughout the library. It still has that peaceful feeling that's so lacking it feels these days. I was overjoyed to see so many faces that's still appreciate paper book ages a library. There children area is amazing !!

This is a very nice branch in the Harford County Public Library system. The look is pretty…read moremodern. The staff is super courteous and helpful. There is a large selection of DVDs (which are free to borrow on this county - just don't return them late!). One of my wife's favorite attributes here is the set of study tables in the back - away from the noise of the kids at home and a great place to focus when work needs to get done. They also have some great afterschool programs for the kids.

The children's library was very nice! My kids are a bit young for reading by themselves but we found several books that I read to them, and many comfortable low love seats for me to sit and read with them on. They also had a little tykes play house with many hands-on learning toys, a leap pad station with fun and age-appropriate apps (my LOs personal fave was the petting zoo app), and some computers. The children's librarians that we met were all very lovely ladies, embodying every mother goose sort of kindness you could hope for. We got to do a children's first art class too. It was messy and wonderful, and the kids loved it. In the end that's what matters most to this mom: it was a safe, clean environment that my kids enjoyed. I'm certain that we will be going back. One side note: there is an automatic sliding door entrance near the activity room. And yes, small tots can open it. Just keep an eye on yours if you're doing an activity back there. In the general library there's another large door between the actual library proper and the activity room.

Yesterday (5/19/25), I was supposed to pick up 13 movies, but she gave me only two. I called this morning and spoke with Brian who had no explanation, despite me saying this is the third time in less than a year this has occurred. He was rude to me, so I told him to return the other 11 he had in drive-thru for me. I called and left a message for the Administrative Office in Belcamp, but as with the last two times, no one ever calls. I'm returning the two I received yesterday and tearing up my card. I love the variety of the shopping, but I'm now reminded why I go to the small bookstores and got away from the large stores. I find myself in the paradigm of 'Shop Around the Corner' vs. the big bag 'Fox Books'. F-O-X. With that being said, I left with books, I never intended to buy because I will always buy books. The post office said that there wasn't anything that could be done on their part because I did not catch it. Funny this is that I am sure in most other work sectors if an employee makes an error the business does right by the customer and fixes it. Apparently at the Post Office the employees can make mistakes, and it is the customer's responsibility to check over their work. Have never had an issue at any other Post Office but it was a $30 less learned. Here is your heads up to always check who your mail is being sent to.

I don't get it, so many people dressed like slobs and then expect the Judge to seriously consider their point of view. Everyone was polite and respectful, especially the Judge. I would have given them 4-stars but they only had one cashier and stood in line for greater than 30 minutes to pay my fine and court fees/costs. When I left the line was longer than when I first got into the line. The cashier kept apologizing because the other person was out sick. If they had a backup person it would have been so much better!!!
