Parking is really hard in this area because it's on a very busy street and in Fed Hill. This is very close to Cross Street market so you can grab a bite while you stop at this library branch if you wanted. I do think their selection is more focused on the youth because there are a lot of families and schools nearby but glad I finally got to go in because I've seen it for years.

I love this library but I also grew up going to this library in middle school. They've made some…read morechanges inside which is nice, there's an updated children's area with places to play inside and outside along with computers for older kids to use. The adult side also has a lot of computers, sitting areas, study areas, a quiet room. There is scanning, printing, and faxing capabilities but they come with a cheap cost. Library cards are free and they have more than just books that can be borrowed. There are two private bathrooms. Plenty of parking out front, and it's directly across from the Aberdeen police and fire department! The staff members are always nice and willing to assist! There are self check out kiosks throughout, and if you want a contactless experience you can utilize their app or website to check out books and pick up right inside the front door. They host events for all ages throughout the week too! There is a big park and playground across the street from the library. There are so many great things about the library so definitely check this little gem out!!!!

Yeah, I know...My love of the area is limited to the area around the Inner Harbor and Fells Point...and maybe up to the area around a few of the colleges. So no, I'm not a native and maybe I'm a bit of a tourist, but I still love going to the city. Like I said, I've always loved the Inner Harbor, but my last visit was a bit disconcerting. We walked through the shopping galleria today and it was so different than just over a year ago. No more Vaccaro's, no more Phillips, no more of a lot of places. It looked like they've either priced out the little guys or the little guys just gave up. Very sad...especially the loss of Vaccarro's...they make the best cannoli-seriously, I've travelled to Baltimore on a day trip so we could have lunch and have a Vaccarro's cannoli (I think I said the same thing in my Inner Harbor review). The bars in the area can be touristy...unless you know where to go-Wharf Rat was pretty cool, so were Sidebar and Pickles (Near Camden Yards). Sadly I don't go to the great bars in Baltimore anymore as I always have the kids in tow, but there are still a TON of great places to eat. Camden Yards, M&T Bank Stadium, great hotels and restaurants, and a great tourist area around the Inner Harbor. I know most people would love to visit NYC, it IS the city that never sleeps, but these days I'll take a trip to Baltimore to watch a baseball or football game and then find a place to eat a pile of crabs over another trip into the city for no parking, the super high prices, and a lot less kid-friendly visit. NYC DEFINITELY has a billion things to do and is an awesome city, but Baltimore is a little more my speed these days.

While this library isn't the place to check out Twilight or 50 Shades of Grey, this is a fantastic…read moreeducational library full of reference material for research and projects. The best part of this library is the long hours during the school year for studying. They are open until 10:00PM Monday-Thursday, 4:30PM on Fridays, and have Saturday & Sunday hours. There are plenty of computers to use, and large tables with power ports at each seat for your laptop. If you find yourself getting distracted while doing work or school projects, this is the perfect place to come. It is open to the public, and the WiFi is free.
