One of the couches had a stain that should have been cleaned up before having a family gathering. For that I had to deduct a star. No one wants to sit on a unknown stain. The female funeral director had me sign under duress and before the wake cremation papers after she initially stated his sister can do whatever in charge of the funeral. After I showed the female funeral director our marriage license then I was all of the sudden the next of kin. I was the first person there at the funeral home before his mom and family. I agree with the other negative reviews they're unprofessional and don't answer phone calls and emails. My husband didn't want a funeral with his family and his family knew that I would have had him cremated without any viewing or funeral. I never heard of that funeral home and I would have had a memorial service two years or more after his death. Someone else or another widow this funeral home exploits and abuse for money will sue this business and shutdown all the funeral home sites. March, Vaughn Green and Calvin Scruggs are better than this Walmart discount brand funeral home.

Some have been pretty good, and others have unfortunately not met our expectations. In fact. one large funeral establishment that sits on a hill, off the beltway in Lutherville, did such a poor job with my father that I asked the mortician the identity of the "man in the box". When my mom recently passed away we researched some funeral options. Several years ago I attended a funeral for a friend at Johnson-Fosbrink and I was impressed with the caring attitude and professionalism of the staff. I was not disappointed when we negotiated with Tim Fosbrink concerning my mom's arrangements. The price was very reasonable given our desires. Straight off the bat Tim advised us that we would not incur a $700.00 embalming fee if we were cremating my mom, (which was her preference). Unless I was an "insider" I wouldn't have known that. The funeral home was also able to create a wonderful DVD video package chronicling mom's life. Heather, Tim and all the staff were respectful, gracious and accommodating. The physical plant was clean and beautiful. I highly recommend Johnson-Fosbrink. They are top drawer.

The hours and days after his passing were a nightmare for us as we grieved our dad and had to also try and make sense of all the logistical items that came with his passing. Daniele Schott was our primary point of contact, but no matter who we spoke to over the phone or by email, we received prompt and compassionate guidance and responses. We weren't the most organized family they've probably had to deal with, and we are also bicoastal, but they were so flexible in making themselves available to meet virtually, by phone, or in-person and pivoted gracefully as we fumbled along.
