However, one day he just stopped managing my chronic pain stating I needed a pain management doctor, well, did that twice both times with IPA in Killeen where they did nothing to manage my pain other than procedures until I did all of them and never once gave me anything to manage pain! So I went back to Dr. Perry and got him to help me again, he did so for a bit, stating I need to see a new pain management doctor, so I did, this doctor said he doesn't prescribe pain meds and does exactly what IPA does and that there was nothing he could do... So, I went back to Perry and he told me nothing he could do for pain according to the restrictions set by the CDC.... Come to find out I looked up the CDC guidelines for opioids being prescribed, the CDC can not make law, that was left up to each states legislative bodies and in Texas he was right about acute pain being limited to 10 days, however, in Texas law, chronic pain, palliative care, cancer pain, end of life care can be treated long term by opioids!!! In short Dr. Perry is a liar and might as well just be a PA or nurse assistant.... I would never recommend him to anyone!

However, at my recent appointment (September 2024)…read morefor an annual EKG checkup my case was assisted by a male technician for medication review, blood pressure check & EKG test. During previous visits I had female assistants, which I do prefer when it comes to exams that require removal of clothing. I didn't want to raise an issue initially so I continued with the male assistant. When it came time to execute the EKG, some protocols were not executed. I was not given a gown to change into and due to oils & lotion on my skin I had to remove with alcohol pads for the EKG monitors to adhere to my skin properly. The male assistant watched as I removed the oils from my chest, groin, and breast area. This was unusual protocol because during past appointments I was given a gown and privacy to prepare for the test. As a woman I prefer and will ensure to advocate for female doctors & assistants in order to prevent any uncomfortable situations. I did speak up just prior to the execution of the EKG, requesting a female technician. Ladies protect your bodies, comfort, & privacy when receiving healthcare, do not be afraid to speak up & advocate for yourself.

As I walked, they just finished mopping the floor and the lobby floor was so wet, they had the caution sign but anyone can fall if you're not careful. The wait took forever and I was the only one in the lobby. I thought maybe, the rooms were full, negative. I was the only one patient. As they take my X-ray, I was in pain trying to position myself and at one point I had to hold the plate on my stomach for them to take the X-ray. The nurse was nice and all but the machine looked like a dinosaur. The Dr and nurses in-charge was ok but the front desk girls was friendly. The highlight of this visit was their snack station.
