I didn't realize that the store I wanted to visit was inside HIP--if I had known, I have to confess that I probably would have visited this store in another suburb. Usually I'm able to figure out where a store is inside a mall but I've never been so confused by a mall map and finally had to give up and call the store for some sort of idea where to find them. I'm not sure what it is about this mall--maybe it's that from the outside it feels like it's all parking lot. I mean when I got there I was like, where the hell are the stores? Luckily I knew where Target was so I could understand very vaguely where the store was when they said it was "in the middle". It's standard mall fare, but it actually has more stores inside than I thought when I consider the state of the American mall. Target anchors one end of the mall, Kohl's the other, with a Best Buy in between and there's Hobby Lobby (ew), Dick's Sporting Goods and other major outlets here. North of HIP is the portion that may or may not be separate but houses the Nordstrom Rack and some other stores. They have a Molly's Cupcakes at HIP which surprised me to be quite honest. It seems like kind of a bougie cupcake shop but maybe that's just because I've been to the Lincoln Park location in the city. They had a large selection, though, which maybe is tempting to the high schoolers that congregate here. HIP wasn't terribly busy when I was here but it wasn't prime time either and I'm not mad that I didn't have to wade through a sea of shoppers.

The malls in NYC must be so crappy because I personally really enjoyed my experience here! Y'all got customer service lol, like what! That said, mad options in the food court and soooo many stores like target, aerie, express factory outlet, hot topic and more. I had a good time shopping and going through store to store. No one was annoying like "do you need help with anything?" Or following you around thinking you're gonna steal. I was left alone, and was greeted with nothing but smiles from store to store. A lot of teens and kids though, felt like walking through a highschool again. Overall, wish I could visit more, the malls pretty big.

I like this mall and the shops within it. It is a very clean and usually a pleasant place to visit. However, I do caution against going to the mall immediately after school lets out. This is when gangs of unsupervised teens are on the loose and they tend to be obnoxious. I am sorry to say that some exhibit crude and outright racist behavior (e.g., using a play on words that they think are clever but are actually racial slurs). And then there is the problem of face masks. All doors to the mall display a sign that says: "Due to regional mask mandate, face masks or coverings are required during your visit for any person age 2 or older. Thank you for your cooperation" Unfortunately, many security personal (not all) wear their masks pulled down over their chins. I do think they are over the age of 2 and their masks should be worn over their noses and mouths.

I've had a great experience shopping here recently. I am impressed how perfectly cleaned this place was. Lady at the costumer service was helpful and very polite. Thank to all of those hardworking people for their job to keep this place sparkling. This Something HIP is on the way!))

Their "policy" even after they sell you broken things.

There is one particular booth there that sells phone cases and phone cases, it's completely over priced and a scam. For starters their quality is horrible, 3 times the price, and they sell you broken things. On top of that they have a no returns policy and only exchange policy. Very sketchy and they're really rude too. They also up their prices and then say "It's 35 but if you pay cash it'll be 25, I won't charge taxes and I'll give you a discount" why isn't that the starting price to begin with?

Look what I found in the small jewelry store here. First time I see so beautiful chain with sparkling stones. Incredibly fancy! And it's not expensive because it's sterling silver. Harlem Irving Plaza is full of nice surprises like this one. There is a lot of places selling accessories. Holland & Rodger's, Pandora, Zales and much more. Check it out!

Their upper level parking is the best thing about this mall in a congested part of the city.  Easy egress with a light out to Harlem also.

Technically this shopping emporium is in suburban Rosemont, and hardcore shoppers from out of town have been known to make some last-minute purchases here before flying out of nearby O'Hare Airport. Most local shoppers drive here, and grouse about the cost of parking to shop here. We arrived via the free shuttle bus that makes a circuit around Rosemont hotspots and connects to the Rosemont CTA Blue Line station. We are not huge shoppers, but we enjoyed checking out a variety of stores and eyeballing the public art installations. There were deals to be had if you wanted them. We also enjoyed a couple of free treats from the wonderful chocolate shops, and there is a decent food court if you need a bite to eat. Amazingly there is also a 7-11 where you can get a beverage or snack, and the prices seem to be the same as those in standard 7-11 stores not embedded in shopping emporiums.

The mall itself is very clean, modern, and comfortable, which makes the whole experience more enjoyable. Definitely a good spot if you're planning a shopping day.

But little did I know that he had something else up his sleeve in regards to my gift card. So we walk the mall and we finally get to the Nordstrom Rack store... ahh, the fine things I can find in there. We start to look at the shoes and he starts to pick out shoes for me... and turns to me and says that we aren't leaving the store until I use my gift card money. G-A-S-P! The audacity! My husband telling me that I need to spend money on myself! LOL!! As I clutched my imaginary pearls - all of a sudden I'm southern and in shock! - I started looking around for things that I wanted! How dare I, right?! We finally get to the register... with 4 pairs of shoes and a pair of sunglasses in tow... the wonderful Haley B was the person that we had the opportunity to ring out with. As my items were being rung up, I noticed that my gift card wasn't going to cover the whole amount of the purchase. So I make a comment to the hubby that I'm gonna have to leave something behind since I wouldn't have enough to cover the total... Haley jumps in and asks me the amount on the gift card and after I tell her, she advises me that she will add a coupon to my amount so that I wouldn't be over! OMG!!! Now that's what I call customer service!!! I was over the moon walking out of the store with everything that I wanted because of one employees looking out for a customer! Especially the Floral department where they expect you to be always working every single second of the day even if there is nothing you can do. Produce is treated like shit. Deli and Meat Market get a bit more respect but when you're treated like shit you're still treated like shit. Home Shopping is dealing with crap left right and center from just about every department up their ass with orders. The hours are a nightmare and they tend to screw you over with your shifts. One day it's like 9am to 5pm the next day it's 3pm to 12am and the next day it's 4am to 12pm. They do nothing about shoplifting or worse people complaining about the prices only for the manager to give them what they want even though they will complain about your sales being too low. You are paid minimum wage with no health insurance or benefits for being overworked like animals and the "exclusive" worker discount are a joke. You don't even get a discount on FUCKING MILK! As a worker do not support this place until they learn to treat their workers better. Not to mention that even with inflation the deals are terrible. Like I believe as of right now there is a sale on chips buy 3 get 2 free (idk my department mostly stays in one place) but the chip bag sizes are a THIRD of what they used to be and the prices are absurd. The meat especially is a joke they are small cuts with huge chunks of fat poorly trimmed and often leak meat juice out of them. The produce is the worst part as everything is either rotting, looks like it's going bad, too small, or even a combination of all three. Want my advice go to Sam's Club and buy your groceries in bulk or even Mariano's since this place is owned by Ebenezer Scrooge.
