Cannot say enough good things about Ambient Comfort. I have dealt with them for over ten years…read morewith HVAC for commercial sites I am involved with and my own home, without issue. Recently a heat wave pushed my central AC to the brink, my home maintained a balmy 80 to 82 degrees. I attributed it to the ac being old and temperatures near 100. (truth be told we have been contemplating a new unit) After two brutal days of this, I called their service department. Now we are in a heat wave, I know they are busy, but they showed up within 24 hours. The office actually diagnosed the issue on my initial call, more on that later. I was given a window for the service call. The technician texted me they were enroute and the text had the technicians name and picture. 5 minutes after the text, the technician calls me to discuss the issue and talk to me about what they had on file about my ac as I have two units. In short he was saving time on site by getting the background so they could get right to work upon their arrival. They gave me an ETA and once on site they hit the ground running. Within 20 minutes, the issue was found, which is exactly what the office told me was the likely cause. You may think this story sounds like a normal repair call, but it had 5 star attributes. The company was on point with their appointment time, they contacted me twice within 1/2 hour of the appointment time to let me know they were on their way and to discuss my issue. The technicians pulled up in a labeled Ambient Comfort service vehicle and both technicians wore company branded apparel. At no point did it appear that this company was anything less then professional. Their iPad documented their site findings and photographed aspects of the system. I compare this to some business that pull up in an unbranded truck or a truck that looks like it was lucky to be road worthy. It doesn't sound like much but when you want a company to show up, you want to ensure their vehicles and equipment are functional. Cost was reasonable, and somewhat priceless considering the situation. Truth be told I expected when I called to be told that they are days away from showing up, their 24 hour repair was much appreciated.

Ambient Comfort's services came along with the newly-remodeled house we bought less than two years…read moreago. All this time, we've been purchasing "Gold Membership" service contracts from them for our approx. two-year-old HVAC system. Ambient had just done a regularly scheduled service call two months ago and certified our AC ready for summer. Midday, during last weekend 's heatwave, we couldn't get the house lower than 77°. We called Ambient and they sent out a serviceman. He checked out our system for two hours and said everything looked okay to him and Ambient charged us $180 for his visit on top of our $200 Gold Service Membership contract fee. The next two days, the air conditioner was doing the same thing during the afternoon hours, even though the outside temperature had dropped by 20 degrees. The house was uncomfortably warm and it's a small house. The fairly new AC should have been able to handle it. We called Ambient back and told them that we were still having the same issue and they told us that our air conditioner is "doing the best that it can and that it's typical in this heat for an air conditioner to stick in the mid to upper 70s range and that there's nothing wrong with our system." What!? When we told them that none of our neighbor's air conditioners were doing that, and that we've never experienced that in any other home during any heatwave ever, during 40 years of home ownership, they called back to say that they were canceling our contract, returning our money, and didn't want our business anymore. No problem. There are plenty of other HVAC businesses around who we're sure would appreciate our cash. Moving on. Heads up. We definitely DO NOT recommend Ambient Comfort!
