When I saw my current xrays the 1st thing I said was "this is going to take time to get right". Having had whip lash from a car accident, falling on my head from an attack of vertigo and who knows what other assault and injury over the years messed up my spine (I'm a very active person). As they say, "time takes a toll". Vertigo attacks had become more frequent. Xrays showed bone spurs on my neck vertebrae, as well as a messed-up curve and not such a great back alignment. Knowing so many people over the years with painful back, leg shoulder, neck etc problems and not getting the proper care, encouraged me to act now. Since I began treatment in October, I haven't had another vertigo attack. What I thought was a shoulder problem which I received months of PT for but still had residual neck pain is gone. It is an investment of time and money. To me it is well worth both. I am in my 70's. If I don't have good health, it will certainly diminish my fun.

I am very used to Chiropractic care and have had at least 10 different Chiropractors (including my Uncle) adjust me over my lifetime throughout the country, depending on where I was living. Not all Chiropractors are of the same caliber, as you can imagine. After my first 2 visits, I can confidentially say, with my experience, that Dr. Domanski is someone you can trust your spine with. I will be putting my body back as a priority and getting regular care between the two cities I bounce between. My experience with Crossroads Chiropractic & Wellness: I was in immense pain, in my shoulder, starting 3 days ago that was limiting my daily activities and sleep. I toggled with the idea of finding a new Chiropractor in Savannah since I don't live here but visit monthly. I researched and found Dr. Domanski. I knew it would be worth a try if they were seeing new patients (they are and were SO helpful to get me in immediately, THANK YOU!). PROs: - Excellent adjustment by Dr. Domanski (which is not always easy on a very stiff patient). He also has a great way of explaining your diagnosis and what your x-rays say about what your spine is doing. (Which I needed since I haven't been getting regular care in over 3 years) - Friendly and knowledgeable staff - Efficient service and respectful of your time - Quick digital x-rays - Clean office - Plenty of therapy options to help you get the treatment you need. - Part of the Maximized Living family, which allows for further education to patients on your health & wellness (had this at a previous office in another city). - Convenient location CONs: None. I will update review as I continue care with Dr. Domanski. But all I can say, is give him a try if you have any concerns about your overall wellbeing. If you're reading this review and have never been to a Chiropractor, I honestly would say this is your place to get familiar with the process. It can be scary when you don't know what to expect but your body may have more of a story to tell than you realize and it's all natural healing that can make you feel so much better and be your best. FYI, I write reviews on places/people/food I believe in to try to help others as much as other reviews have helped me get to the best spot! You don't always have the advantage of word of mouth when you don't know others in the area. :)

I'd like to start off by saying that I have always been a skeptical sort of person all my life. I…read moream a scientist, I like to deal with verifiable data, I went to medical school, and I have always supported evidence-based treatments for patients. Because of all these things, I came in to see Isa with a more-than-healthy dose of skepticism in the back of my mind. But I was also at the end of my rope. For the last two and a half years, I've been suffering from severe back pain. I've been to the emergency department twice with severe back spasms which leave me bedridden for weeks at a time afterward. I'm not even 40, and here i found myself relying on a walker to get around my house. I've been to a neurologist who at first was sympathetic, but later became passive aggressive when I asked for an alternative to relying on pain medications and steroids to control pain without doing anything about the source. I was told it was my fault, even though he had diagnosed me with degenerative disk disease. After my second episodes of spasms, I was walking with foot drop, and had no reflexes on my right ankle, with diminished reflex in my right knee, but I was being told my pain was "mechanical" and not spasms. I then remembered reading an article about how the military had approved the use of acupuncture to treat chronic pain, citing evidence to support its effectiveness. And this is how I ended up looking into acupuncture. I had to share this long and rambling background to illustrate just what a life changing effect acupuncture treatment had upon me. Right off the bat, after the first session, I was able to walk out with a more normal gait than when I came in. Over the next sessions, I've seen much improvement, to the point that I am able to start running again with minimal discomfort! A couple weeks ago, I was able to run non-stop for five miles! It may not seem like much to some, but I haven't been able to run or even walk without pain since November of 2015. FInding a chiropractor trained in coupled reduction techniques is impossible in this area. To be fair, chiropractors using coupled reduction techniques are usually certified by the american chiropractic neurological board. See http://www.acnb.org/. Chiropractic neurology is a three year post graduate program that focuses on functional rehabilitation of a multitude of neurological disorders. The underlying premise of the discipline is that the brain is at the root of all bodily functions and therefore, well being. Practitioners can address Learning Disablities to Multiple Sclerosis to Fibromyalgia. There is a rigorous board examination, which limits the total number certified practitioners to less than 800 worldwide. We're just not lucky enough to have a active practitioner in the Savannah area. This chiropractor has good diagnostic skills but does not use hands on adjustment methods to correct your mal-alignments. All his adjustment work seems to be done using a table ( I forget what it is called) to move the lower back from side to side while he presses down on your spinal column in the lumbar area. You might feel better when you leave but I found I was out of "adjustment" within a day or two. This is because hands on adjustment techniques were never employed in my case. His initial visit fees are high, and fees for return visits are $50. There's a 10% discount when more than one family member visits.. The doctor has a terrific "client side manner", cares about his patients, and is easy to deal with. He wants to please his clients.

The doctors at Rooted Living take the time (and apparently use some kind of sixth sense) to determine where exactly to focus. And rather than just send you out the door, they will take you into their workout facility to give you homework for what you need to do to help your body heal.
