Came here to go to the bakery and buy a tiramisu cake for my mother in laws birthday. Their bakery makes a lot of things homemade and fresh. Overall the grocery store seemed to be very clean and organized. They had a fresh salad bar and soup can eat from. Lots of natural food choices and a big bakery. The lady at the bakery was very helpful and shared with me the different options I have for tiramisu. I could buy a single slice or a full cake. The only thing I didn't like is the person who served us was complaining publicly to the coworker. The cake was delicious though it wasn't like a homemade Italian tiramisu that our exchange daughter from Italy made but still worth every bite! read more

Such a great Harmons. I love coming here. However some of their meat cutters need to be trained better. Some of their cutters can slice up bone marrow pieces at 1 inch thick with no problem. Then there are ones that make up some kind of excuse why they can't do it. Always a hit and miss. I need to remember who the good cutters are and only come when they're here working. I wish they would simply answer no when I ask if they can cut them to 1 inch thick. I suppose I'm too picky when buying treats for my dogs. However, they are way too expensive to have to throw away so many because they're too thick for my dogs. Starting to lose faith in their ability since only a couple of them have the skills set to do as requested. read more

Went to return something at Guest Services just for Ann Marie E to be the most bothered and insufferable person I've had to deal with in customer service. I inform her, "I have the item I want to return and I used my Foodie Card when I purchased it. No receipt as it was thrown away by someone on the family last night but it was the only item on the transaction and it was exactly a week from today" her response would make you think modern technology hasn't yet solved the issue of returns without receipts. She literally rolled her eyes and acted like I was holding her hostage. I have forgiven every negative experience I've had with customer service reps as it was usually never too big a deal or easily forgiven. I always love visiting this Harmon's. It's always so neat and tidy and has fun holiday displays. I purchased some cute treats for my children for St. Patrick's day. Their selection of beer is huge and they have my favorite drink in stock! I was really excited to see that because I haven't been able to find it anywhere. I am very disappointed in this Harmons. I have been going to Harmon's for YEARS and this one is by far the worst. Would rather go to Walmart! The security guard was treating me and my husband so poorly and followed us around the store thinking we were stealing. Very upsetting. Every worker there is very sweet exept for the security guard there. She profiles all of my co workers. She has accused us of stealing numerous times and every time we have showed receipts proving we haven't. She will follow us around the store everywhere we go. Its gotten so bad that some of the cashiers have apologized about her actions against us. Just today she called the HR of my company to tell us not to come to the store anymore. Which is the final straw for that. Its to the point where im contacting my lawyer. She profiles us and even tho we prove we dont she accuses us of stealing, now bans us. Not okay. read more

This is the Harmons flagship store in Farmington. Store was clean and well-stocked, plenty of staff to assist in finding things. My nephew was looking for some cheese, and had a good conversation with the cheesemonger. Prices weren't terrible, and you can pretty much get any food you want. Definitely worth the visit. read more

The only grocer in the area that carried decent looking and decent sized collard greens. They were in the organic section and a little pricey, like a lot of items there, but something is better than nothing. All of the other grocers either didn't have any or the leaves were wilted and puny. Harmons is also the only grocer in this area, that I could find, that carries Paromi tea. The store is clean and well kept but it's a little out of my way, so I can't frequent it as much as I would if it were closer. read more

Love this store! The meat and healthy options are amazing! The grocery pick up is a real person that communicates with you personally and makes sure you have everything you need and gets substitutions if needed. You just don't get that anywhere else! This Harmons is very pleasant to shop at as far as cleanliness and the way things are presented. The lighting etc... In fact I drive several miles to shop at this location. However the staff is always very UN pleasant. The checkers are very rude and act like they don't even want to be there. A couple of employees in the meat department are somewhat decent and really it depends on the day for them as well. I don't understand why you would choose to work with the public if your are going to act miserable while you are doing so. It doesn't take much to smile, say hello and act as if you enjoy your job and appreciate the people who support the store every single week.I would like to give five stars to the store itself but unfortunately the staff makes the store. Sweet Nirvana of food. Marketplace for the hip, trendy, AND the minivan crowd. What's not to love about the new Harmon's? High ceilings and spacious floor plan. Generous sitting space for enjoying a nice lunch and a library of culinary love. Fantastic specialty counters offering fine cheeses, sammiches, salads and fresh food bars. A bakery that is not only extensive but will sell you HALF a loaf of bread. Separate meat and seafood counters. Staff that is friendly and (wait for it......) knowledgable. This place has the feel of a Whole Foods without the pretentious a-holes. It makes it an experience to go back to the grocery store. read more

I love Harmon's! This location sells a lot of local handmade products which I appreciate so much. I love supporting small businesses! Harmon's also carries a lot of brands that a lot of other grocers do not. I love the organic, and natural selection of a lot of their products. The employees are pretty nice, I haven't had much interaction with them so I can't be for certain, but I do enjoy shopping here, and my job even sends me here during my shifts to purchase items that we need. Amazing grocery store!! Just don't have Alicia (older, long black hair lady) check you out. She's literally the only person I've ever had here that's grumpy. She took my basket of groceries and dumped them on the conveyor belt. Unbelievable! Where is my Donna!?! She is the most sweetest, kindest person they have working here. Well as much as I love this Harmons and how much I hate being negative, I have to say I'm a bit disappointed with what I found on October 11th when my wife and I made a trip to pick up some items. If this is your first time here, then this Harmons will amaze you with their luxurious look and hometown feeling. Also, they have a cooking school built right into the upstairs portion of the store. Which amazing. This Harmons is no doubt an amazing look on a grocery store we deserve. Or is it? What I found would make me think otherwise. Maybe I'm being a bit silly and letting one item dictate how the rest of the store is run. But then I think about the lazyness and carelessness that took place for such a thing to happen when it shouldn't have. I could've got the health department involved but, instead I gave my love for Harmons the benifit of doubt and reported it to an employee that was closes to me. His reaction was outrageous. He smiled, laugh a little and said "Nice!" as if it was funny that something like that was on the floor. This worried me instantly and after my trip and on our way home I thought, "if they were too lazy to make sure that this item wasn't on the floor because of the expiration date and just left it there long enough to mold that bad, then how am I suppose to trust any of my items, let alone anything in the store, are up to code?" Do they know how dangerous it is to disregard policy and law when it comes to changing out products routinely? What if someone got that item for their kid before it showed signs of mold and that kid dies from consuming a lot of it. Does Harmons suffer from that kids death? No. The family does. So although Harmons is a glits and glamor, just remember that gold can cover anything, but it doesn't make anything gold. read more

My second consecutive bad experience here Decided to have a Saturday afternoon steak on the grill and picked up 2x dry-aged bone-in ribeye steaks ($52 worth) at the Harmon's meat counter. They were beautifully marbled. A few short hours later I grilled them to a perfect medium rare. And they were the most flavorless chunks of beef I'd ever tasted. Ever. Super disappointed. read more

$$$$$ I wanted an easy dinner tonight and thought about grabbing some fried chicken for the family. I told the kid behind the counter I wanted 4 legs and 4 thighs, he hand me a bag with 2 of each and price stickers of $4. & $3. that's 7 bucks for 2 legs and 2 thighs, so I told him again what I wanted and he handed me another bag with the same, well that a total of $14 I proceeded to tell the kid that your price for 8 piece chicken is $10. he him-hawed and put it in a box with a $10. price tag, smart! (over priced for sure). Getting the chicken home we found it really wasn't fresh, I would have called it more of a chicken jerky, cold & dry! what a disappointment. The only reason we do go here is convenience and the best meat department, everything is so expensive, hence the 5 $s and only 3 stars. Come-on deli manager check your stuff, if its old then toss it! This Harmons is amazing! What I love about Harmons is that they carry so many local brands. They have an amazing selection of cheeses, a superb meat department, and always a fresh and fully stocked produce department. Their selection in everything is huge. If I ever want a special flavor of a drink, chip, yogurt, or anything else I look here because they normally have it. Their selection of gluten free, vegan, and other diet restriction good is very impressive as well. The service is generally great here too. *disclaimer* The first time I came here everyone was soooo rude; I swore I would never come here again. And then my parents moved down the street. Since then we've had a rude person at the deli once, and a really slow and grumpy checker a few times. But in general, it's smiles and helpful employees. They also have classes that you can go to which I would love to do one day. I've heard they are amazing so it's definitely a future girls night or date night. read more

This is a nice Harmons. It a large store with lots of selection, nice looking produce, and even a cooking school. This is actually the only grocery store I have seen white asparagus... which is cool thing. They have daily specials at their deli and hot meals location. Absolutely love this grocery store. It's always clean and organized. Each department is set-up in such an appealing way. Samples everywhere. Produce fresh and with so many options. The bakery... oh-Yeah!!!! Unbelievable creations inside their display case and always so fresh. Cheesecakes, cup cakes, various dessert bars, tarts, cakes, donuts, breads!!! If you are dieting... beware; as the temptations are strong and you will likely be defeated. LOL You can buy various items from the deli area, such as pizza and chicken strips or grab a bowl of soup and make an amazing salad from their salad bar. (Great place for a quick lunch or sit upstairs and look over the entire store) They also make fresh sushi each day and it's fresh, creative and priced reasonably. Their cheese selections are second to none. The meat and seafood counter, is always presented so well. On your way out, grab yourself a coffee, hot chocolate or gelato. And if you need a plant, flowers or balloons to lift someone's spirit... they have you covered. This grocer is a class act and has never let me down!!!! read more

Love this market and the extras it offers. Food bar is fresh, colorful, and full of variety. Upstairs you will find tables and chairs to sit and eat. There are fireside leather couches and chairs if you want a cozier fare. The Cooking School is also located upstairs and you can peek thru the glass while class is in session. Harmons is slightly more expensive than alternative big shopping stores, but it is local owned and has what feels like a better selection of healthier options and local fruit and vegetables. Not to mention the options in the bakery are delicious AND this is the only place I will go for my fresh fish selection. read more

Harmon's is by far the worst grocer out there and I would give it less than one star if I could, let me give you a little backstory... I came here for my lunch break one day because I used to work at Carhartt which is just across the way, Anyways I go in, order chicken fingers and some macaroni, and then pull out my wallet to pay for it right there where I ordered it, the chef tells me that I have to go to the front of the store to pay for it so I figure I'll just pay for it before I leave. So I go upstairs, take one bite of my food and the next thing you know a security guard is dragging me down a hall into a private room where he detains me for "retail theft" despite me trying desperately to explain that it's a huge misunderstanding and showing him that I had more than enough money to cover the expenses of my 6$ meal. I had never left the store nor did I have any intention of "retail theft" in the slightest. I was treated with so much disrespect and prejudice when I was just trying to enjoy a quick meal before I went back to work. But it doesn't end there, after being detained in the security guards office two police officers were called and I was literally handcuffed and paraded through the front of the Harmon's store and detained in the Davis county jail. Which of course got me fired from my job. WHAT A JOKE! I'm a pre-med student at the University of Utah and Harmon's grocery has the potential to ruin my life!! This is the most ridiculous thing that has ever happened to me and I am so very very disappointed with the way that things were handled that day. read more

A foodie paradise!!! I came in to pick up a few random things we needed just before Christmas. What I found was gourmet samples and local vendors promoting their products. I got to try a baked double cream Brie topped with chocolate, caramel, and pecans. I also tried a locally made guava jam on top of cheese and crackers. They even had 6 flavors of olive oil and rustic bread for dipping! They prepare tons of healthy products daily in their store. We saw 3 varieties of fresh guacamole, 5 types of salsa, as even 4 different flavors of hummus!!! Seriously, I'm in love. Aside from their gourmet offerings, it is a fully stocked grocery store. We found all of the crazy items my grandma needs to make a killer Christmas feast. I will be back! read more
