Usually at convenience stores, you get the grouchy person at the counter who would rather be smoking than working. Not here. Every time I have ran in for a fountain drink, the person at the counter is friendly and overtime, they build relationship with their clientele. They have come to recognize me and treat me like a member of their family. I wish I could justify spending the extra money to do more shopping here. The occasional fill on gas and fountain drink will have to do.

I have avoided this location because the exterior appearance looks a bit run down. I had expected a typical gas station convenience store feel but the store was well organized and fairly clean. It had a similar feel to the newer Maverick locations. Located on Main Street in Layton, it is easiest to access as you are heading south, though there is a turn lane if trying to access from the North. The parking lot is small but when I went, there wasn't any issues finding a spot to park. The employee helping me was extremely friendly and welcoming. I may need to start coming to this location more often.

This week I filled my cup about one-third full of ice, drove home (only five minutes with my car's A/C on), and by the time I got there the ice had already melted and my Dr Pepper was still room temperature. That shouldn't happen. This used to be my favorite place, and I've been a loyal customer for years. I'm disappointed because this has become a recurring problem.
