It was a Costco. Most are the same. They don't have as big of a selection of dog foods, or they were out of some. The meat all looked fresh. The vegetables for the most part seemed fresh as well. I did purchase a watermelon and it wasn't very sweet. So wait sa little while longer or buy one from somewhere else. The self check outs were quick, though the woman working them was rude. The hot dogs were and are always good. I love the option to get bottled water now. But they do need a new way of packing the hot dogs because in the bag is ridiculous. You can't put anything on it because it will roll around or get all over the bag. We did wait about ten minutes to get our pizza but im not complaining because it was hot and very fresh! Their condiments station was a bit gross though. Trash and sauces all along the counter they sit on. It definitely needed a good wipe down as did the tables. I am totally pissed off and this is the second time Cosco tire center stripped a wheel lug and said the nut won't go on so you have to take it to a mechanic to get the lug replaced. You ass wipes are the only ones who rotate my tires and I have to pay for your f ups, I think not, you will get the repair bill this time and I will take my business elsewhere. This is the dirtiest, unprofessional store we have ever been to! The employee's are rude, unprofessional, especially at the door coming in, that lady behavior is disgusting. I had Covid during Thanksgiving and couldn't have my 30+ guests. I was so sick I couldn't make any dinner. My husband went to Costco and bought their Thanksgiving meal. It was Delicious! There were only the 2 of us but it could easily feed 4-6. I'm going to have to go back to entertaining 30 people but this is definitely the way to go for a few people. It was incredibly priced for what you get! ...the picture with the white on top is Sweet potatoes and marshmallows The service was easy. My experience was wonderful as usual until I checked out. When I was finished, I saw an employee named Kimmie and I couldn't see any boxes. I asked her if there are any boxes anywhere and her reply was obviously not. To me it was rude and a little insulting. When I spoke with Bradley on the way out, he knew where some boxes were and took me right to them. Bradley gets five stars, Kimmie gets zero. I don't go to Costco to be treated rudely . read more

If you don't currently have anxiety, you will after visiting this Costco location. It is SO busy, no matter the day, time, or weather. Be prepared for the hunger games in the parking lot to get a spot followed by the circus inside to navigate and shop. Workers are friendly, product selection is average, food court has long waits. Going to this Costco is such a chore, but on the bright side we rarely overspend in here because it is so busy you can't look at everything. read more

On 11/9/24, my children and I visited the Costco in Ogden. My 15-year-old daughter wanted to make a purchase with her debit card, so we separated my items from hers. As my daughter attempted to pay, she was abruptly informed by an employee named "Katie" that she couldn't use her debit card because it didn't match the member's name. I was next in line to check out and informed Katie that the customer was, indeed, my daughter. I then asked if she truly expected a minor to have their own Costco membership. Katie responded that it had always been Costco's policy to disallow minors from making purchases with their own payment methods, even when accompanied by a parent who is a member. "We've done this for years," I said, to which she replied, "We're enforcing it now." I pointed out that this was poor customer service. Katie then provided an unconvincing explanation, claiming that people had been defrauding Costco by using others' memberships and later reporting the purchases as fraudulent. However, if this were a genuine concern, Costco could address it through security footage or other means. This recent "Costco Crackdown" is not only counterproductive but also an inconvenience for members. The need to scan a membership card just to enter the store is unnecessary and easily circumvented by non-members. What's next? A DNA scan to buy a hotdog? read more

I'd give my experience on 6/14 a 0 if I could! Let me start off by saying this isn't my usual location but I was in ogden with my mom so we decided to stop by. I've always used the app to check out. Never any issues. My husband has me as an authorized user on the membership & again. Never any issues until I came into the Ogden location. First off, MARY the cashier was super disrespectful and snappy. Not even a greeting!! Straight to "Nope. That's not your membership. Where's your card?" ( My husbands pic is on the app ) I then responded with "oh I've never had any issues but I'm an authorized user. I can pull it up on the app". She then interrupted me and kept saying the same thing over and over. Also to my mom in Spanish... After calling someone over ( that was just as rude) they found my info and let me check out. She then proceeded to say "Next time. Go to member services and get your own card". I just stood there in shock of how snarky and rude she was being in front of the other customers, my mom and my baby in my arms.. I understand people might do this all the time and it can get frustrating but.. My issue is. 1. I genuinely had no idea this was an issue as I've had my membership for over a year.. and was never told otherwise at our regular Costco in utah county. 2. The way she spoke to us was so unacceptable and made me feel like I was a delinquent. 3. Please listen to your customers when they're trying to speak and explain to them in a kind manner why there's an issue. Safe to say. I will not be renewing my membership after today.. I was a big Costco fan until I moved close to the Ogden, Utah location. From the gas pumps to the parking lot to the aisles to the checkouts it has become unnecessarily over-crowded. All they need to do to serve their customers properly is to extend the hours, ideally opening to 7:00 am. It's bad enough that I have stopped shopping there. read more

Some staff likes to hop on the high horse now & then. I needed to some into the tire center & like the rest entered in the exit. I had flashed my card & the door staff, bald Ozempic male with glasses, rejected my entrance after several had done the same. I saw no prob since I was causing none but this man felt every right to yell at only me to go around! I brought out the phone cam & recorded & he called over other door staff. I should've gone to the desk but made my way to tires & pointed out he did not do the same for the others. He called over a supervisor, tiny guy , hipster attached with his youth complete with ear gages. While at tires, he comes over with a peculiar voice tone, I swear it was acted, & his eyes protruding. He starts telling me I don't have the right to record in a public place. I told him everything that happened & showed him the video, he was not willing to comprehend the wrongs. Great store for tire center, pump air in tires, gas is amazing for affordability compared to everything around in the city. Food court is great price and so tasty. The store itself is clean and well kept on stocking up and getting what you need at a good price for high amount of items read more

Worst Costco Ever. The selection is very limited, the tire department is a joke. - Very very poor customer service on the phone and very slow service when I have a scheduled appointment. I will never buy my tires from this place ever again. Part of the problem is that this is the only Costco for gigantic geographic area, and Utahns love going here, and this creates problems for keeping things stocked. Costco is missing out on $Millions by not building another (very large) location in North Ogden. I live in Ogden, and I prefer to drive 35 miles south to the Salt Lake Costco over this one. read more

I drove 25 min in the snow to brave the Ogden Costco on a Saturday specifically to get my husband a cheesecake for his birthday. I was carded and turned away from buying his birthday cake because I was using my husband's Costco card. I have shopped with his card for YEARS!!!! Not once have I been carded like minor in a bar. At least sams club will let you still buy your items if there is an issue with your membership. I honestly hate this Costco because the parking lot was designed by a sadist and it's always so crowded. I would rather drive all the way to centerville to avoid this store. It's absolutely ridiculous that I wasn't allowed to purchase ONE item (of significant importance) because I'm not on the account. I love Costco. We are a Costco family. I have multiple family members who have worked at Costco for over 25 years. That being said- this Costco has everything you need. BUT the customer service is the worst Ive ever seen. The cashiers are by far the rudest Ive ever met. They gossip about others right in front of you, cuss, slam your stuff, and are disorganized and don't talk to you or smile. I just really love Costco. The stuff I get more often is priced good. The Kirkland brand is well tested and a comparable to named brand products. I purchase a lot of meats at Costco. I cannot tell you enough about how good the quality of the meat is and again those prices. I have bought a lot of stuff from costco including TVS , couches, pots and pans, lighting, and even a disposal for the sink. I buy all my gas here as well. The prices again are hard to beat. I have only had to return 1 or 2 things at most ever and I have had no problems in that area. We all know that Costco has a insanely great return policy. The only negative I would ever have to say about Costco ISN'T the store itself but the CLUELESS customers. It's a busy place and I don't understand why people will take up a large area basically blocking others from getting by just for a sample or the other people who have zoned off to another planet. I'm not sure if it's te ever-changing merchandise that yells "buy me before I am gone" or the bulk packaging on everything from apple sauce to soy sauce, from meat to bread, from vitamins to condoms (should that really be called a "family pack"?) Well according to my end of year American Express Summary, Costco is my number one merchant. And it's for good reason! You go here to get one thing and you leave with five! I get everything here: meat, produce, pet supplies, gardening supplies, storage items, the list goes on and on! Then there's the random items... Surface pro, traeger grill, flagstone for a patio, eyelash serum... I can't stop spending money here. I love it. I hate it. But I mostly just love it. Lady working at some beauty stand today was acting like a toddler who should have her "allowed to be in public" license revoked. I was in line with my dad and aunt, when my dad noticed my aunt didn't have the cart and some kind gentlemen staff was pushing it for us, we took over and I said "how did we lose the cart? Why was that person pushing it for us?" And the lady at the beauty stand said "HE WAS HELPINGGGG" very dramatically it shocked me. We knew that already, I waved it off, and she proceeded to raise her voice up a couple octaves to say "BYEEE LADYyyy" and dramatically wave us out of the store. For those of you who have read my review of the Sandy, UT location, you will know that in general I'm a fan of Costco. Especially when it comes to meats, cheese, fruits and vegetables. Honestly produce selection in general is topnotch regardless of location in my experience. As a result, Costco inherently earns a 4 star from me. I just happened to be up in Ogden with family and got to visit this particular location. All the normal great "Costcoey" (is that a word? - it is now!) things, but with an additional something I've not ever seen at a Costco previously. Self Checkout! I have to admit, I used to loathe the principle of self checkout, always just seemed to me yet another way to have less staff and customer service. Over the years I have changed this opinion. In this case, it allowed us to avoid all the long lines when purchasing just a couple of smaller items. I can't say fairer than that. Stopped off at the Costco here is Ogden, while my truck was being serviced down the street. Thought I would kill some time. This Costco is the nearest one to our house, so we frequently visit this location for our shopping needs and of course, our shopping "don't needs." Who's with me on this one... It seems like we ALWAYS leave Costco with items we had no intention of purchasing. (Well played Costco-well played) Because, who doesn't need 24 danishes or a giant bag of chips and 5 gallons of ranch dressing? But seriously. This Costco is usually extremely busy. It's a large facility, but at the end of the day, there is only so much room for people to navigated around. They have a large food court; which is always going strong. The store is organized and has everything you would expect to find at a Costco. Plus, clean restrooms. The Costco team members are always friendly and helping push customers through the lines. Which brings me to my only complaint. The lines are forever long. It seems like I am usually stuck for a good 10-15 minutes, waiting. They have a lot of registers and they are generally operating most of them... so, it's less of a shot at this Costco team and more of a suggestion that they open another location within 15 miles, to reduce the crowds and spread it out a bit. Today, I would like to wrap up by stating I was able to visit Costco and leave without spending a penny!!! Yep, I successfully won today... but to be honest, it's only because I was without my truck and didn't feel like carrying 10 pounds of desserts back to the dealership, where my truck awaits. LOL. The auto department staff is shitty here. I have had my car battery tested at 3 other costcos. I came here and asked if they could test it and the man at the front desk said "no I've worked here for 13 years we don't do that." I simply asked if he could maybe check with a manager or something and he refused and just said "I assure you that we don't test car batteries and no Costco does or ever has." I called another Costco in utah and they said they do test car batteries. I don't know if he was having a bad day but was very disappointed for him lying or just refusing to ask or make any effort. Costco (if you have a membership) is one of the best places to shop if you are looking into buying in bulk. My wife and I come here about 3 times a month and always stock up on groceries as well as snacks. Their are plenty of other type of items to buy including electronic's, some hardware and, outdoor living depending on the season. My only grief I have for Costco is that it is always packed no matter what time you go, but that's because it's just an awesome store. read more

The cashiers and one manager made me walk away from the register due to an account error- in the LESS THAN 5 minutes it took to resolve the error they had already removed all my items and "put them away". Making me COMPLETELY RE-SHOP for all my items again. This could have easily been avoided by: 1. Having some patience and allowing to me sort out the problem at the register or 2. Simply putting my items back in my cart and waiting for my return. Very disappointed with the customer service treatment I was provided with. read more

They are helpful and friendly. They have what I need and the pharmacy has access to the vaccinations I needed. The store brands are competitive as are their sales. I didn't know that if you go through the self checkout they have to count your items to match your receipt when you leave. So don't do a big shopping spree and do self checkout. Also I am missing the scanners at self check like they have in some of their other stores. read more

Jacob in the tire service center was awesome! We had a flat near Salt Lake City on our road trip and needed to get the tire repaired. Jacob was super nice and fit us in even though it was close to closing time. Totally made our trip less stressful having been able to get it repaired and not rely on the spare. read more

I bought flowers on a Thursday to arrange for my daughters wedding on Friday. When I got up Friday all of the blue hydrangeas were dead. I called and returned them that day. 2008 LAYTON'S TASTE OF THE TOWN ==== Best Corporate Supporter of the Hometown nominee We've loved Costco coming to a town owned by Sam's Club. We've liked their selection. If not always as wide as Sam's Club, they have tended to have higher quality foods and shorter lines. We've also rationalized the slightly higher membership fee because we like that they are reputed to take better care of their employees. If this is true, it seems to show in their sponsorship of Layton's Taste of the Town festival. Given that Layton (where we live) is 10-12 miles from the nearest Costco, we like their larger community supportive attitude. In year's past we've liked that they hand out cold bottled water. This year was extra hot, and they graced us with ice cream brownie sundaes. They were pretty good, although not something one would associate with Costco's brand, and served just at the right temperature with an efficient and cordial staff. We enjoy water on a hot day like this festival is every year. I enjoy giving them the high vote for bringing what we like about Costco in-store to their community appearances. read more
