You fill out a brief form, and then she clarifies any issues, tightness, or injuries you may have. I didn't elaborate enough on my issues, but she asked just the right questions to get the answers she needed to do an awesome massage. She uses a variety of modalities in order to tap into all muscular areas: from hand pressure, finger pressure to elbow/arm techniques. She asks in the beginning if pressure is good and states to let her know if it's ever too much. She adequately focuses on areas you mention that are sore but connects those areas to surrounding muscles to give you an all around awesome massage experience.
