I had an issue with my head lights blowing out headlights blowing and was unable to remedy the situation with two local car parts chains and another car repair place in Bellingham. I finally got to Harmony Motors and they fixed the issue and it stayed fixed right away. I also had to replace the driver side wheel bearing which was taken care of right away and reasonably priced. Next I had a defective battery which was replaced twice. I thought for sure something was draining my battery and harmony looked at it and found no issues just a bad battery. They could have charged me an arm relay just in labor that they had the car for the whole weekend but there was no charge. I don't feel that they are greedy in regards to making money. I find them very fair professional in excellent care. read more

Mark and the team here at Harmony consistently operate a most amazing business. I would not take my foreign vehicle anywhere else. They've serviced my Porsche, BMW and a Toyota. I am so very disappointed in Harmony. First, I was charged for an hour and a half for a repair that I received an estimate of half an hour from the dealership and then, more importantly, from the instant I picked up my car after that repair it had a terrible rough idle that never happened before the repair job. Rather than having to have a neighbor follow me down to their shop to leave the car (you have to leave the car and not wait), take me home and then take me down again to pick it up I chose to take my car to a shop that I felt was more knowledgeable and showed concern about my car. Fast and communicative throughout! I heard about this place from Greencorn Motors and it was the first mechanic I visited in Bellingham. So glad I did. I had a few lights on on my dashboard plus a tire check and side view mirror install. Harmony's COVID precautions are top-notch and I had my car back in less than a day. As a woman, I also appreciate that neither Peter or Mike talked down to me when I asked questions or clarified something on a call--unfortunately something that's so common in the auto world. Unfortunately my experiences at Harmony have trended in a direction I'd rather they not, considering how long I have been a customer. On my last visit, when I inquired about new charges, they were explained as "well, I've gotta start charging for this" without apology. This is my car's new Primary care Doctor! Replaced a part on a 2004 Toyota for 40% of what the dealership quoted. I saw everyone coming in treated with respect no matter how small or large the job. Mark (Harmony Motorworks) did all the work on my Mercedes for about the 10 or so years that I owned them, and I felt lucky about it. I was confident that Mark would "love" my car and hand it back to me so I could go on "loving" it. I never had second thought about asking what was needed or what was done. I trusted him completely and was never disappointed. In recently buying a Jaguar (F-Type) I took it in after not seeing Mark for about 20 years, assuming all would be the same. Mark looks a little different, but, is likely 20 years more knowledgeable and competent too. What's best about HMW, is their personal approach to the customer. Peter and Zak in the front, set the tone for what can and will be done to the car and then Mark does his magic. As for Harmony Motorwerks Bellingham, WA. A few things to consider. 1: They are incredibly rude to anyone that does not fit whatever model they think are BMW owners, Which I am... 2. When you bring an older BMW that has been Dinan and a has been wellcared for The response from Mark the owner is condescending to say the least. 3. If you leave your car with them it will be left unlocked on the street in Downtown Bellingham, WA 4. If I never have to deal with that kind of behavior again. I will step back into professional racing. Bottom line.... Harmony Motorwerks of Bellingham, WA has no passion for the cars nor any concept of the patrons.. Shameful. at minimum...... ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. Rude rude rude. I took my audi there because of smoke from the exhaust. The only thing they did was test drive it and couldn't even tell me what was wrong but still charged me 89 dollars and wasted half a tank of gas. The temp license was expired so I asked if I could leave my car a few days til the license plate came in the mail and they were totally cool about it. Then when I got there to pick it up, one of the guys told me he had to park it in the garage every night like trying to make me feel bad. Wtf?! Then I asked if they could help me to put on my license plate on and they wanted to charge me more!!!!!! read more

The owner of this shop is about the cleanest most professional and knowledgeable car person I've ever met. He regularly attends shows in Europe and elsewhere to stay on top of developments in the model series and has a visible passion for the business. His employees are all very well mannered, clean, knowledgeable, helpful and professional, the entire service process is transparent and nothing is hidden! I love this shop and the people in it. I've been taking my cars to Harmony for the past 8 years, since i moved up to Bellingham. I started with Audi's and have worked my way to more reliable transportation. Through it all I have found them to be very accomodating and trust worthy. I have brought a vehicle in to them and received a honest recommendation to not fix the issue at the time due to the cost to benefit ratio not being favorable enough. I feel that I get an honest answer on what is wrong and given the option to fix it or deal with it. The gentlemen at the front (Jared & Zach) have been there for as long as I've been taking my cars in and they do make you feel like they know you and have a relationship. I think the lack of turnover at the front does speak to how they run their shop. Even the owner Mark makes himself accessible and is a very personable guy. I do appreciate great service and I've yet to be disappointed. Another reviewer mentioned they are not the cheapest and I do agree with that statement. However I personally don't want to worry about shoddy work or misdiagnosed problems and am willing to pay what I consider a "fair" price for the level of work and service they provide. They are cheaper than the dealership and I feel they offer superior service. I've found the one time I had a question about something not being quite right, their answer was to bring it right back and they would take care of it. I like that level of service when dealing with one of the most used pieces of equipment in my life. read more

They are good listeners, they try to accommodate your schedule, they'll adjust little things for free, and they are completely willing to tell you when you don't really have to have something fixed. It was the owner I encountered here at Harmony Auto that will keep me from NEVER returning. I went in to ask a few questions about my mercedes and I have never been more disrespected by another person in my life. The owner beckons me over to ask my questions and then has no idea what I am talking about, Timing chain tensionser on a mercedes diesel Ever heard of that????? Other reviews say how knowledgable he is, I doubt this.... I turn around to ask someone who actually knows something in His shop (at least hopefully) such as one of his techs. He thens just yells out "nobody hear knows if I don't know." I think the owner is good at only one thing, spotting money in your pants (probably looking at my pants too long)and he knew that I am a "have not" as opposed to a "have" like himself. I WILL NEVER RETURN I WILL TELL EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO KNOW WHAT A COMPLETE TROLL THIS GUY IS.. I guess if you paying him thousands then he may be nice to you though:) read more

I've been very happy with this shop. They have a reputation for honesty, and there have been times when I have had a concern about my car and they could have taken the opportunity to charge me a bundle but didn't. I also appreciate that they are willing to take the time to talk to you on the phone about a concern instead of telling you "just bring it in." They are definitely not the cheapest option in town but do good work, and that's worth more to me than going somewhere cheaper and wondering if I'm being scammed. read more

I feel very confident in taking my car here, and I am very suspicious (as I think most people are) of auto repair shops in general. However, they have passed on more than one opportunity when they could have sold me on repairs. I have taken my car in when I was concerned about something and they have reassured me. Another thing is that they are respectful and I have never felt condescended to, another rarity when dealing with mechanics. They are definitely NOT the least expensive option in town, and I don't have a lot of disposable income, but would prefer to pay more and have confidence that my car is well taken care of and I'm not being ripped off. read more

Its a nice, clean shop. Staff are friendly. Great location. Lots of great reviews so take this with a grain of salt. They charged me 400 dollars to not find or fix the problem. I am surprised that a shop like this would not be knowing of 2001 year Volvo's well known problems with the throttle body. I wonder if they really had a qualified technician looking at my car - they certainly charged me for that. In the end, I diagnosed it myself and replaced the throttle body. read more

My car wasn't running right one morning (kept dying) and i took it to Harmony's and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I was without a car for 9 days and couldn't find anything wrong with it. I went to pick it up and they charged me $89 to "look at it". I would say I was displeased with them after giving them thousands of dollars over the years the same car. read more
