You know all that shrapnel you see from shredded truck tires? Well all that hit my car after a tire exploded right in front of me. There was no way to avoid huge chunks of it without crashing into the cars next to me. So off to Limerick Auto Body I went. Now, I do know the owner, Tom, for some years now. I had never used him for body work prior to this incident, but thought of him first. I would not be disappointed. I have a high end Mercedes CLS 550. I love this car and desperately wanted it to be returned to new. Tom, Jay and Alese handled everything from start to finish. They dealt smoothly with my insurance company and all I needed to do was drop the car off and pick it up. Communication through the repair period was excellent. There was, as always, some minor additions to the repair work order. Jay handled all that with ease and communicated it to me and the insurance company. When I went to pick up my car, it looked showroom new. They even detailed the exterior and interior of the car. I was not expecting that. I know this was a minor repair, but it was done to perfection. Even days later I keep looking for flaws with the work, because I'm anal, and cannot find anything. Tom and crew have won my respect and future business, as well as telling all that Limerick Auto Body should be their first call when sh*t happens to your car. Avoid Limerick Auto Body, Poor Experience and Poor Quality Work:…read more I do not typically write negative reviews for a given business, however, I will make an exception for Limerick Auto Body. I brought my Mercedes Benz to Limerick Auto Body to have the rear bumper repainted. I was told they needed the car for 4 days to complete the job. I arrived to pick up the car on the 4th day only to discover that the surface was not prepped properly prior to painting as they did not sand all the road line paint off the rear bumper prior to painting it. In essence, they just painted over it which is poor quality auto body work. I rejected the body work on the car, and the bumper was repainted and clear coated for a second time. This required an additional two days. I picked up the car after 6 days only to discover the next day that they did not wet sand and buff out all the dirt particles and sanding marks throughout the clear coat of the entire rear bumper. The rear bumper was also poorly aligned with the body of the car showing excessive gaps. In addition, the radar sensor on the passenger side of the car was not recalibrated correctly by Limerick Auto Body. As a result, I took the car to another auto body shop for an estimate to fix what Limerick Auto Body did not and cannot do properly. The cost to realign the rear bumper and wet sand and buff out all the dirt particles in the clear coat is about $500.00. Unfortunately, this will be at my expense. Limerick Auto Body had two chances to properly complete the job, and they failed to do so on both occasions which is ridiculous. Clearly, Limerick Auto Body is a low-end, poor quality auto body shop and guaranteed to disappoint. The owner just makes excuses for low quality auto body work and should be embarrassed. Surprisingly, Limerick Auto Body's slogan is "Excellence Guaranteed". I can guarantee you that is not what I found. Save yourself the time and aggravation and look for another auto body shop as quality, craftsmanship, attention to detail and customer satisfaction are foreign concepts to the owner of Limerick Auto Body and his team.

We had an appointment for repair work on Jan 12, but when I called to confirm that on the 7th, I was told they did not have the parts yet and it would take 2 weeks to get them. So we rescheduled for drop off on Jan 23, with work beginning on Jan 26. I confirmed the second appointment with Zack on the phone 2 days beforehand. When I arrived at the shop this morning, Steve said they didn't have the parts and didn't understand why I was there. He complained about the State Farm estimate calling for after market parts and not paying for new parts. He has had the insurance estimate for 2 months, and this was a known issue. No one ever called me for a discussion of what I was willing to pay for out of pocket or whether new vs used parts were a deal breaker for me. Classic Coachworks just let the problem fester and then Steve had a temper tantrum when I showed up for a scheduled and confirmed appointment. I warned him that he was about to lose a customer of many, many years, and he sent me away. A little bit of communication goes a long way, and this is a lesson that Steve desperately needs!

I had no choice but to allow Sanatoga Auto Body to do the tow, since my roadside assistance was not covering the cost. The tow was a distance of 5.3 miles - a very short distance from their shop. I was charged $150 for the tow itself, and $20 for a fuel charge. I didn't realize it cost $20 to drive 10.6 miles combined distance. That must mean their tow truck gets 1.88 miles to the gallon! WOW! Then, a second tow to a shop for a combined total distance of 21.6 miles, was an other $100. So, why the drastic difference in cost per mile? When I asked the receptionist about this, she fumbled her explanation, saying it was figured out on a "by-job-basis" and negotiated each time. Translation to this: We take advantage of our customers when we can. The receptionist also acted extremely rude on the phone, and hung up on me once. I had to go confront the shop owner in person. I'm a four-year military veteran with a 6-month pregnant wife. I remained calm, nice, and reasonable when discussing this with the owner, Paul, the entire time. They refused to cut even $20 off the total bill, and only accepted cash payments - because people were cancelling their credit card payments, due to the outrageous, scam prices. Do not EVER give this place your business. If they lie about cost and profit on a simple tow job, imagine how they act when they actually figure price on fixing your car.
