They gave me space after the initial call and called me again when I reached out to move forward in the process. They gave me a fantastic rate for both auto and renters insurance, honestly way cheaper through his office than any other agent or company I've gotten a quote. This was the only part of my experience that was good and that's why they get 2 stars. I mentioned that I wasn't moving to Atlanta until the end of July, so I needed my insurance to start on a specific date. Well, they didn't adhere to that and started my policies the day I paid (which was over the phone and about two weeks prior to my move). I paid and I don't know if it's something new on the system, but even though I paid in full for 6 months for auto and 12 months for renters, my policy is showing month to month payments regardless. Whatever - it shows I have that amount in credit. It still feels like a little sketchy way to do it though. Well, the following two weeks was a headache. After I paid, they were NOT responsive at all. I sent multiple emails, both directly and through State Farm's website. I talked with them on the phone, which is the only time I really got any communication. I needed them to change the effective date, and add my bf to the renter's policy. While the agent mentioned he would update it that same day, nothing ever happened. I understand sometimes it can take a few business days before the changes take effect, but it never did. I get it. Agents have tons of clients (and you can read earlier reviews about this agent stating so), but I appreciate communication. I don't necessarily need you to respond to me within 5 seconds, but at least tell me hey, we're a bit busy, but we'll get it updated as soon as we can and you should see it in the next few days. Nope. If you do decide to go with this agent, they can probably offer you a really great rate cheaper than others. However, make absolutely sure you tell them exactly what you want and when you want it to start, though it's best to be as simple as possible with your policies I guess. That's a lesson I learned with this office. Be very specific from the getgo and probably repeat it more than once. I've been a customer of State Farm for years, and have always had great service (both in Austin and Chicago). This is the only time it didn't meet high-quality standards. Ultimately, I put in an agent transfer request to a different office altogether. Moving to a different state is already a headache. I didn't need this to add to it.
