Excellent service to this team. Last week, I brought my three children to the office for dental cleaning. One of my child has cerebral palsy, and he was fearful of the noise and keeping his mouth open. The dental person, Amaris, was superb in her care for him. Sydney did a great job of taking care of my children. The doctor was gentle also with showing him the tools that they use. NEVER RETURNING!! We had a really disappointing experience here. The office felt dirty and unwelcoming from the moment I walked in. The front desk staff didn't greet me or even acknowledge that I had arrived. The TV in the waiting area was blaring SO loudly it made the whole environment feel chaotic. The exam itself was extremely quick, almost rushed, which didn't leave me feeling confident that it was thorough. The back treatment area was open and crowded, which felt uncomfortable and lacked privacy. Overall the office felt disorganized and unpleasant. The absolute worst experiences with any health care provider I have ever experienced. Our first appt. time came, I showed up with my daughter and they said that the "mother of this patient" (my child) had called in earlier that morning to cancel the appt. Obviously, I did not call to cancel the appt... I demanded that we be seen and waited 45minutes for a tech. Now, this morning my daughter was supposed to have a tooth extracted. The appt. has been on our calendar for 3 months. I hear nothing from them so I call to confirm our appt. The office is now telling me that she is not on their schedule until May. I don't know if they are over booking, scamming, or if their office staff is incompetent but this is not acceptable and very frustrating for a mom of four who relies on appts to be held when they are supposed to be. read more

We've been coming here for 3 years and we enjoyed the atmosphere and professionalism initially. This last visit was totally different. The wait room was like a mass factory production line as was the actual treatment room. There are 4 chairs where everyone is simultaneously getting worked on, and multiple family members are with the kids making this area overcrowded, loud & uncomfortable. The dental techs are literally 20 years old at most. The vibe I'm getting is that to cut costs, they are overbooking, mass cleaning & using cheap (starter) labor. I am very disappointed at what happened to this dentistry. It used to be such a wonderful business. The original Dentist/owner, and all of the previous staff was friendly, kind and gentle. The business was purchased by somebody else, and now it is overcrowded, unaccommodating, and cold. This is a factory, they usher the crowds in, diagnose, and give appointments well into future. My daughter, needed a crown fixed (done there) and a cavity filled. They gave us an appointment six months away. After my daughter started experiencing pain, I called them. They said the best they could do was prescribe antibiotics and couldn't promise an earlier appointment. Save your children and do not bring them here, they cannot accommodate everyone's needs appropriately. They are more interested in making money quickly then properly accommodating their patients. Furthermore, the new staff is lacking. They are not child friendly, which my daughter quickly noticed. It had great reviews - 0ver 450 or 470 good reviews - but that was for Dr. Mark before he sold the practice. The change is not favorable, though. I made my appointment 7 months ago for my 3 kids. I took them out of school and canceled one of the kids' guitar lesson so that we will not miss the appointment made in advance when Dr. Mark Dawud was there. When I came (missing work and fighting traffic), I was told the practice was sold, and my cost will increase by 50% (mind you - this is for 3, not one). They said they will not honor the price that was set and written on my patient's card, and if I don't agree, I can leave with no treatment. They didn't care the kids missed school and other activities. They didn't care we had sort of an agreement - that I will come knowing the costs. I would expect them to call or write in advance and let me know that they are changing the prices so I can decide if to come or not. Rather they made me come as if all is as planned and then hit me with 150% of the fees. All the staff - both front office and back office (like hygienists) are new. The reviews you see and the rating you see are for the old team, not the one there now. They are using the same name and building on the previous reputation. Customer service is non existent, they overbook and you will sit there waiting almost an hour past your appointment time. They will cancel your appointment via text last minute due to overbooking. No one ever answers the phone or return calls to reschedule appointments. The waiting room is overcrowded and loud. Asked us to sign we consent to $30 charge before the procedure, then asked us to pay over $180 out of pocket, right there after the procedure. Saying it was out of network charge, while we were told by the clinic that we were in network when we considered this clinic. They also said if we didn't pay right there, they would send us to collection, right away, and right there!!! We argued we are in network, and we wanted insurance to process the claim first. Then the dental assistant threatened to call police on us and said we didn't respect the front desk people. Never encountered people who do this line of work, have absolutely zero skills, and earn minimum wages had such big hollow ego!!! Insurance comes out, and we only owed them $60, and we are indeed in network!!!! Yes, their front desk people and the dental assistant were indeed so conning and incompetent and they think they deserve such respect for committing fraud and wasting people's time!! Well you'd better keep your month shut while the teeth is being cleaned. They charged us $12 consultation fee because we talked with the dental hygienist for 1 sentence while the baby teeth is cleaned!!! In another incident, Dr. Dawoud billed us so much for a routine dental cleansing that even exceeded the maximum in network coverage! We had to appeal to our insurance to get the excess charge corrected! So money greedy! Be aware!!! read more

This is the third dentist we have been to trying to work with someone that specializes in pediatric dentistry. I can not express enough how grateful we are to have found Harp! The staff is so nice, professional, and They understood my child's anxiety, acknowledged it, and worked with us to make sure she feels comfortable and safe throughout the entire dental procedure. Dr. Mark was patient and so understanding and kind at our consult in reassuring us they can do our treatment without sedation. Dr. Erika is beyond phenomenal! She talked to my child and worked with her the entire time. She made sure she was comfortable with every step of the process and stopped when she needed. Was new to the area (2 years ago) and needed to get my kids in to the dentist. Our first visit, the waiting room was being remodeled, and I thought , great an upgrade. As I returned for subsequent appointments, I found this to be a throughput/ production factory of a dentist office. The last straw was my littlest 2 needed treatments for cavities, and it was evident no one was prepared for their procedures upon our arrival. Due to the sterile/ production nature of the site, no one understood the kids needs and there was never a discussion about how the treatments would proceed. Both were troopers and barely got through, but needed to reschedule to complete. Set up the appointment for the following week. Showed up to appointment to finish procedures and they called the kids back for cleaning. I told the tech we were here for procedures/treatments. More or less, I was told "ok, whatever." As the dentist was looking at their mouths and she's telling me the cavities they have, I said I know and that's why we are here. They had to panic schedule them. If there wasn't consideration for my kids anxieties before, there certainly wasn't this time. The majority of the assistants are very young, with minimal experience. They tend to be unprofessional, and honestly, it looks sloppy and as if the organization does not care. read more

New management is terrible. The past 2 visits, my son had his teeth cleaned then they asked we wait for the doctor to do the final check - and expected us to wait more than 45 minutes!! The first time we simply left, the second time the doctor came in, did a 2 second inspection - then they send my insurance an $84 bill for "oral hygiene instructions"! WHAT A SCAM! We used to have GREAT experiences with Dr. Nawoud (former management) and now the new business as awful - poor service, long wait times, overbilling.....don't do it. 5 stars! I was hesitant to switch my son's dentist because he'd gone with me to mine since he was 2. But the location of this in proximity to his current and future schools was hard to resist. The office his beautiful. It's brand new, state of the art, and very kid-friendly. Movies are playing, toys, kid sized chairs and tables and a cute welcome sign with all the kids names on it for their appointments that day. Everyone is friendly and helpful. We ended up coming back a second time due to a cavity and Dr. Mark had given me the advice not to tell my son (4.5) why he was coming back and it was great advice! He was happy, excited and eager to go because he just thought it was any other appointment. They never used any scary words and had little cards in the rooms to advise parents to do the same (needle, pain, scared etc.) My son still had no idea he had a cavity filled because it was so fast and painless! I got a second opinion after they told me he had a cavity and the second dentist confirmed the cavity. After reviewing the estimate, the office manager also told me Harp was charging a lot less nitrous oxide and the fill than they would! So I would say they are reasonably priced too! My son is already asking when we are going back and is mad he has to wait 6 months for the next appointment. read more

The dentist told me that he refused to do any treatment to my child unless done under general anesthesia! That is not necessary at all. Just been lazy and making sure it will go smooth for him, not for the kids. Anesthesia can cause complications in children (such as strange heart rhythms, breathing problems, allergic reactions to medications, and even death). read more

Waited for over 45 minutes after appointment time before I left with the intent of returning. Sad part is that at 45 minutes wait time, I was the "lucky one" cause another gentlemen had been waiting for 1.5 hours for his kid's appointment. They use to be awesome, but recent change in management has demonstrated the utmost incompetence in running a practice. They have hired people that care less about the client that pays their bills (and salary) and prefer to give you an attitude as if you were the problem in questioning their lack of scheduling abilities. read more

I really don't do these types of reviews, but I feel like the obvious needs to be told. Prior to the new office opening, I never had an issue. Appointments were fine and no scheduling issues. My girls have been going to this office for years. As soon as the new office opened up, I have been having non-stop issues. First incident was when I scheduled my daughter's dental appoint. I had to schedule it THREE times because the verbal appointment I was provided and confirmed was inputted in the system wrong TWICE and I could not take off on the incorrect time that was inputted in the system. So every time I had to reschedule the appointment, it would get pushed off. The mistake was not my error and it should of been amended properly. Another incident that just happen is that about a month ago at my daughter's last dental appointment I scheduled her next visit for more work to be done. I receive a text message yesterday stating there was a conflict with the provider and I had to reschedule, which is fine no biggy things happen, but I do not understand why my April appointment has to be pushed off to June when it was not my fault the office had a conflict. There should be some sort of back up appointment time? The incidents above were not my mistakes, I did not call to have appointments rescheduled due to my needs. I would understand if the push back was months off because I called to rescheduled, but both incidents was the office responsibility. I know it makes no difference if we leave as clients because clearly this office has more than enough clients, but it would be nice if the office management/scheduling staff/and overbooking was taken care of for current and future clients. read more

They closed their Seminole location without letting anyone know. Moved all appointments to the palm harbor location without notification. Rescheduled the appointment since we didn't know of the change. Received reminder of new upcoming appointment only to be cancelled two days later. This has been over a couple months and now we are looking for a new provider. We used to love Harp and Dr. Mark, but something changed. We won't be returning. read more

This is the worst orthodontist I have ever been to. First time I had him he made an unnecessary comment about my teeth being different sizes and made me feel insecure. He is very rough when he works on my braces and very rude. The brackets that he's glued in keep falling out and when I wore the bands just how he instructed to, they gave me an underbite. When he saw this he began pushing on my jaw and insisting that I was faking it. He made me close my mouth over and over again. This continued for about five uncomfortable minutes with other people in the room too. Now I have to wear different bands to reverse the damage he did. Also he was very rough taking out my braces one time and he actually cut my face with the wire. Do not subject your kids to this torture. read more

Outstanding practice! My daughter who's is just under 4 has REFUSED care from any dentist we have taken her too. That being said she was having visible damage because of it. After many attempts we were referred out to Harp pediatric. From the onset this practice was informative and professional regarding treatment and pricing. There isn't a parent out there that wants to take the measures of sedation but dental care is so important that some children need it at first being so young. This staff was so great at making sure every question was answered! Our appointment was on time and fast and our little girl was actually asking to go back the following day. my kids have been with Dr Mark since we moved to Florida in 2018, when he left kids smiles and opened harp in palm harbor to when he opened back up in kids smiles in Seminole and then left again and back to harbor we were rerouted to going in there for an appt with him and being told we were seeing Melissa. who is this?! your guess as good as mine! to being told they can't do a procedure because they did it already in my son...insurance fraud. they never did it because he needed a cleaning first so they did the cleaning and rescheduled us. then after complaining I got a supervisor and she assured me to keep us she would ONLY have us see dr mark going forward on wed in Seminole. so we were supposed to go last week and guess what Dr mark is gone again! nit seeing patients...he started off as a comparing, caring pediatric dentist but has turned into a big corporation where you are no longer a name but a number and money in his pocket. I'm soo disappointed, honestly it's the talk all over Pinellas county. so sad because he had everything going for him until the new management and merge and now everywhere I go I hear people talking about how horrible they have been treated and everyone is looking for a new dentist. it's a shame what money and greed can do to a practice that was once so low key and personable. oh well! searching for a new office for my kids. read more

Harp dental- the staff was polite. we waited for about 30 minutes to go back. we were quoted $570 for a filling/crown work on my 4 year old and we do not have our child on our dental insurance. She needs 2 teeth done. We're now looking for somewhere more affordable. $570 is extreme when your child will lose those teeth in a couple years. No thanks. The charge is $99 for exam and xrays. read more
