On my member log-in page my card NEVER gave me the $20 I was PROMISED....the $20 card I was GIVEN BY ONE BLOOD STAFF....the $20 rewards that are ALL OVER THE OFFICE...their WEBPAGE...and my member portal!!! ******FRAUD******* After 6 days I called One Blood Orlando HQ----no reply from 2 agents I've dealt with in past. One (Salman Warsi), emailed that the policy was changed and monthly donors DO NOT GET REWARDS: "Starting 03/30, therapeutic donors who donate before the 56 day window are not eligible to receive rewards. The general and challenge rewards are tied to the standard whole blood eligibility of every 56 days. eGift Card rewards are only provided when donations occur within that eligibility window. If a donation happens before the 56 day window, even if it is doctor recommended, it does not quality for rewards." NOWHERE IN THEIR OFFICE.... in my portal....or on their WEBPAGE was this "CHANGE IN POLICY" posted!!!!! THIS IS FRAUDULENT....reude.....immortal...and very poor public relations!!! I've given over 2 gallons in recent months! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED----ONE BLOOD IS NOT TRUTHFUL, LEGAL, FORTHCOMING or even respectful of their donors!!! Instagram lists several local alternatives for blood donations. When I arrived, had a little bit of paperwork to do, and a tablet based questionaire for some easy questions. They took me back and I met my phlebotomist. Her name was Val... and she was awesome. Answered any questions I had, was very friendly and made me very comfortable. She did a excellent "stick"... got the vein on the first try... and took what she needed. She kept me entertained the whole! Really a great experience. If you would like to donate, this is a great location to do it at... although I have never had a bad experience on the Big Red Bus either. They all do a good job! Highly recommended!

They give you soda and snacks, free t-shirt and whatever else they have free available at the time. I received a free ticket to the strawberry festival. The person who drew my blood was absolutely amazing older woman. We ended up talking about prostitutes in Portland, OR at one point. Great conversation by the way! After giving blood I started to feel light headed and getting a cold sweat, nearly blacked out. (It tends to happen with me because the blood takes FOREVER to get out of me and especially when I haven't donated in awhile, so it probably wont happen to you). Once they noticed it, they were right on top of it with a wet cloth on my forehead and neck. They brought down my chair so I was lying down and held the sprite for me to drink it and got me a rice crispies treat until it went away. This was the best place to give blood I have been to so far! Rather than asking adults about their sex lives (which they did, and will do to you and record your answers into their database), they should be working as hamburger jockeys at McDonalds. I doubt you want to discuss your private sex life with a kid who looks like they just attended their senior prom. Now to the gift cards. Surprisingly, people aren't motivated to give their blood to a company that resells it a huge profit if the donors get nothing in return but 2 cookies. Shocking, right? So Oneblood offers gift cards - for a fraction of the amount that they make off you. But do you get them when you give blood? Nope. They publicize that you get an "egift card at donation." I bet you think an "egift card" is a gift card like any other gift card and that you can walk out of Oneblood and stop at a Starbucks to redeem it on your way home. Well, think again. An "egift card" is a piece of paper with a code on it. A day or two later after being asked if you are a pregnant man, you have to go online, enter your birthdate (I'm surprised they didn't ask me If I were a man who was presently breastfeeding and how many sex partners I've had in the last six months!), enter a 13 digit (!) code, and maybe if the site is working, you might get a gift card delivered to you. By that time, you and all the other possibly pregnant men will have lost your patience and sworn never to go through this nonsense again. I mean, what guy has the time if he's too busy giving birth, right? I will never donate blood again. I already knew the whole thing was a profit-making ripoff of average good-hearted people, but this experience just told me how much worse it is than that.

Though there were 3 employees working 4 beds for whole blood donations of one pint, they took REALLY long. My partner came in looking to see if I was alright because it was taking much longer than usual. My technician rubbed my vein site SO hard & SO many times prior to actually poking Me, that it made Me feel nauseated, then It hurt when the needle entered; that's not even necessary. I witnessed one bed across Me where the little squeeze ball shaped like a drop of blood, fell to the floor & bounced around. I pointed it out out loud to the 2 techs working in this Section who seemed oblivious. Then the one Dude, picked it up & placed it. Right back on the side table of the donor who was in that chair. I was grossed out. He didn't even bother to wipe it down; it was gonna be in the next donors hands to squeeze & it had bounced all over the dirty floor. This donation took much longer that the others I've done. The Bus looks grungy & dirty floors & could use a good thorough cleaning. The phlebotomists I've watched & had help Me weren't especially friendly & look tired & over it. I ALWAYS have trouble on their stupid website trying to make appointments. No Staff available to assist on Chat & today I waited on hold for 6 minutes to speak to a live representative, then hung up. My Observations are; their donation bus needs a good cleaning; An employee (Phlebotomist) who picks up off the dirty floor, a fallen squishy ball for donors to use, & casually places it back on the side table tray for that donor chair, WITHOUT WIPING IT DOWN, is a PILAU MOVE. Pilau meaning DIRTY. I had to ask my Plebotomist, to go wipe it clean. I WILL NOT DONATE WITH ONE BLOOD ANYMORE. Customer Service Sucks Employees (phlebotomists) I've dealt with lack friendliness, courtesy, seem tired & unmotivated & this last incident sealed the deal for Me. Can't reach them by phone or chat & the website BITES. Back to Red Cross or, the Hawaii Blood Bank when I'm home. Too Bad for One Blood. Where's the Customer Service here? Interesting hospital. I was there in August and again in November for surgeries. In August I had a…read morevery early arrival time and overall a very pleasant experience. Everything went smoothly from check in, pre op, surgery and post op. I spent the night and received excellent care from a very well staffed and professional nursing team. I provided a very positive review on their web site. My second visit was scheduled late morning at 10:30 arrival. I will never accept a late morning surgery appointment again. First every parking spot was full. A five level garage provided not one open space. Eventually I found a car leaving in front of the women's care entrance. This was at the other end of the hospital from where I was told to enter near the south garage. I had no idea how to get back to the surgery check in. I entered the women's entrance and told the security guard I needed to get back to the south garage entrance. He radioed a man in a golf cart to meet me at the entrance and take me back to the surgery area. I told him the hospital website said there was valet parking near the children's emergency area. He said that was no longer being offered. My surgery lasted longer than the doctor told us and by the time I arrived in recovery and then post op I was the only patient in post op area. The nurses were all leaving and saying good night to other nurses. My nurse was the only one there. The motion lighting in the other tented rooms were turning off. As I was getting dressed to leave the nurse told my wife to bring the car to a different door to pick me up for the drive home. As I had dropped her off at the surgery entrance at 10:30, seven and a half hours earlier, she had no idea where our car was except my description of it parked across from the women's entrance. The nurse was so pleasant and helpful she offered my wife a wheelchair and took her to the security desk to call for the golf cart courtesy driver. Unfortunately, both the nurse and my wife learned that service goes home at 4:00. It's now 6:30. So now the only nurse in post op pushed my wife in a wheelchair the entire length of the hospital to the women's section to get our car. I sat by myself in a chair with now one light on waiting for the nurse to return. There are 6 handicapped parking spaces outside the surgery entrance. And perhaps 10 non handicapped spaces. Arriving late morning you will not find a parking spot. There are no reserved for surgery parking spots. As patients are released the assigned nurses go home and the area pretty much shuts down for the night. Very poor arrangement. The staff readily acknowledges that parking is horrible but apparently that's where it ends. The Doctors have a reserved parking area. The patients including surgeries are left to fend for yourself self. My future hospital needs will be at Tampa General or St Joe South.
