I've been going to Mandy for years and i've honestly never had a bad experience. She's incredibly talented. My hair has gotten extremely damaged due to my highlighting it for the last fifteen years. Every time she does my hair I leave looking so much better than I did when I walked in. Whether it's hair or makeup, she does the best job I've ever experienced. She installs/moves up extensions and highlights my hair, transforming it from dry and lifeless to long, beautiful, and natural looking hair. I've had many hair stylists install extensions that looked like I had extensions in. Mandy blends and tones my hair perfectly. This salon also cares a lot about their customers. This weekend, I had a 9:15am makeup appointment with Mandy and I had an 8am appointment elsewhere for a blowout at (I think) the only place that was open that early. My brother was getting married and, as one of the bridesmaids, I needed to be an hour away from Harper and Olive by 11am. So, when I accidentally slept through my 8am appointment for my blowout, I texted Mandy explaining I had just woken up and probably wouldn't make it to my 9:15am appointment with her since I was going to have to do my own hair (with two rows of extensions, I just knew I wouldn't make it to her by 9:15). Not only did she allow me to come in late for my makeup appointment, she offered to blowout and style my hair for me as well. I knew this probably wasn't super convenient for her because I did not set up this blowout with her, but she was willing to help as soon as I explained the situation. Let me start by saying I did not have event hair done by them, only a normal color and what was supposed to be an extension install. First off, I have never been in a more unprofessional environment. From the moment I walked in, I could tell the vibes were off. The girl I went to was new at the salon, and I had never been to her before. She tells me she can put my extensions in for me (they did not match my hair so we were going to color them and she knew this beforehand). I get there and she tells me to buy her extensions because mine are done. Keep in mind, I was completely fine with dying my hair darker to match them or whatever it may be. Then, after she tells me we aren't going to put them in, she then asks me if I colored my hair myself because "it looks like cheetah print" (I did not do my hair myself and went to a professional). She brushes my hair and asks me "Are you a curly girl or is your hair just this frizzy?." She then proceeds to talk bad about another lady while she is IN THE HAIR SALON across the room and how she turned her hair the wrong color and her boss is having to fix it. She kept asking me questions about myself trying to make small talk, then interrupting me when I would answer. On top of all that, she put a gloss on my hair and it looks the EXACT same when I leave, and she charges me $110. I was told it would be a burgundy color and it's literally a dark brown. On top of that, she doesn't even tell me how much the total is, just says "tap your card". Then she tried getting me to go home and order new extensions when I already have some that could have been colored darker and would have matched perfectly. I am mind blown by my experience at this salon and needless to say I will never be back and recommend no one else does either. read more

STAY AWAY FROM LASH EXTENSIONS HERE!!! I paid 140 for my lash extensions to end up needing to come off, and my natural lashes becoming short and incredibly damaged. This place did me so wrong. I had the "most experienced" lash tech work on me here, and she absolutely botched my lashes. First of all, she attached one lash fan to multiple of my natural lashes which is so unhealthy & damaging to the natural eyelashes. Secondly, I had asked for classic which does not involve lash fans, classic is 1 extension per 1 natural lash. After I left the appointment, I did like the volume, but then realized how clumpy they were applied. The day after the appointment, I noticed that my lashes HURT. When gently brushing through my lash extensions, there was a pulling sensation/burning sensation, and that had never happened to me before (I had been getting lash extensions for a while before this). Whenever I touched my lash, I felt that weird sensation. Additionally, the lash fans began to fall out immediately after my fill, the ones that fell out first were not attached to any natural lash at all. Next, lash fans attached to multiple natural lashes fell out, bringing all natural lashes with them (this also had never happened to me). 4 days after the fill, I called my lash tech back in Seattle, and she advised me to immediately get the lashes off. ( I moved to Nashville from Seattle for college) Long story short (lack of a car & availability at other salons due to covid), I ended up waiting a bit to get them off and then came back to this salon (stupid choice) for the removal. I had never had my lashes fully removed before this, so I wasn't sure what the process was like. This lady starts RIPPING THE EXTENSIONS OFF MY NATURAL LASHES WITH TWEEZERS! It actually hurt a bit, and I had the gut feeling while it was being done that this wasn't the way lash extensions were supposed to be removed, but because I am not confrontational I didn't say anything. The next thing I knew, ALL OF MY NATURAL LASHES WERE SHORT, UNEVEN, AND INCREDIBLY DAMAGED. Turns out, you are supposed to use a cream remover or professional lash remover instead of ripping out the lashes raw. For the next month, I had barely any lashes; I couldn't curl them or put mascara on. I took great care of my lashes, so I know that it was this salons application and removal that caused such severe damage to my natural lashes. Currently regretting not asking for a refund right after all of this. Absolutely ridiculous, if I could give 0 stars I would. Not to mention, no one was wearing a mask and this was in October when the mask mandate was still in effect. I still can't believe that someone would lie about being an experienced lash technician, and then let people walk out of their store with unhealthy lash extensions. read more

Absolutely awful experience. Had lashes applied by owner. Not only did they look weird,but all but a couple fell off in 5 days (not a typo). I took good care of them too I came back in,but they said not a good idea to reapply. Ok by me...they were expensive, I just wanted a refund The owner FINALLY returned my call,said I would get refund. 10 days later,no refund and she won't return my calls. I just can't believe how unprofessional they are. Also,an acquaintance had hers removed there,and they messed up her natural lashes ,causing them to fall out I'm contacting better business bureau. Well, I wish I would've gone thru the reviews before my appt today. I had a lash fill with the owner, Mandy. I've had extensions for over 4 years and recently moved to Nashville. I felt uncomfortable from the beginning of the appt, she used her phone during my entire fill appt and she used too much glue when applying my lashes. They are so clumpy that she didn't even try to brush them out. I literally called my best friend (a novalash brand embassador) in a panic because I'm scared that all the glue she used is going to ruin my natural lashes. Love my lashes! They are perfect, I would highly recommend this salon! They worked quickly, I was able to get in the same day I called. I got a introductory price for a full set. Refills are very reasonable priced. It's hard to find a lash tech. That will make them thick enough and not have any stuck together. The very first time I was in the salon they were filming an episode of HGTVs House Hunters. My appointment had to be pushed back twice in the same day because the filming was going longer than expected. When I finally did arrive at the salon, they were still filming. The film crew was rude. I was not allowed to talk to my stylist because I was interrupting the filming. I had to sit & wait after my cut for the filming to be over before she could dry my hair. I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt so I booked another appointment 8 weeks later. When I showed up for my appointment they had no record of it in their computer system & turned me away - no apology or no offer to reschedule. Great place! Chelsea is amazing! I first met her when a previous person was doing my eyelashes and created a disaster! Poor Chelsea had to unglue the surgical adhesive the other person I was going to used, and then created a masterpiece for my eyelashes. As I kept going to her I was able to see the beautiful work she does with hair... And then I saw the Klix hair extensions... And knew I needed them. We did a consultation, got the hair, she applied, and then I magically became a mermaid! I adore my hair, my lashes and she changed my life! I've never been happier! I had eyelash extensions by Mandy Burnett aka Mandy Nixx and it was the worst experience I've ever had with eyelashes by someone who is "double certified". This is coming from someone who had eyelashes extensions on for over two years by a fabulous lash artist who unfortunately moved from Nashville. Mandy doesn't remove old lashes on fill in appointments and just continues to layer false lashes and glue, thus makes chunks of your natural lash fall out. I had a significant and noticeable loss of natural lashes because of her lack of technique. Would not recommend. Ever. read more

I am a travel nurse who lived in Nashville for 8 years before traveling and still come back here for my hair! Nina is the absolute best!!

I hired this company for my wedding, because I had seen them at a bridal show. I loved my hair and makeup trials, but things went downhill from there. They couldn't seem to get the details of my wedding right, and I had to go in for a second makeup trial due to an employee quitting. While there, I told them that my number of girls getting hair and makeup done would be different and we verified details, so I thought. They called one week before my wedding date and had everything wrong- number of girls, time, etc. I corrected them, and two days before the wedding they STILL had the number wrong. The best part comes when Mandy, the owner, texted me THE NIGHT BEFORE MY WEDDING about an hour before my rehearsal dinner saying I had broken my contract by not discussing the changes with them in ample time and that I would have to pay $1900. This came after her saying she had been out of town so she didn't contact me sooner, and claiming it was ridiculous that I was claiming her employees didn't communicate or write the correct info down. Eventually, we thought we had figured it out and she said she'd come at 11:00 the next day. Well guess what friends, SHE NEVER SHOWED. You read that right, she did not come ON MY WEDDING DAY to do her job after telling me she would. Did not answer her phone, did not answer texts, nothing, after agreeing to do the job. It's one thing to argue a broken contract, but to do so the night before someone's wedding, blatantly lie about your expectations, and then completely leave them hanging is absolutely unprofessional and petty. Do not trust this company. They will not pay attention to your details and them blame you, and you'll end up with no professional hair and makeup service on your big day. Luckily my bridesmaids did a great job with me, but it shouldn't have been an issue. Again, DO NOT HIRE. read more

I came here for my bridal makeup and hair for me and my maids. My makeup was so beautiful that I almost cried when I saw it, likewise my hair (which is just barely long enough for a pony-tail) looked impeccable. I don't know how she did it (a million hairpins?) but it looked like an updo you might find on someone with hair twice as long. They know blondes! It has taken me forever to find a salon who can consistently get my shade of blonde right. I have very fair skin so finding the shade to match my skin tone wasn't easy. After going through multiple salons and being disappointed I finally found the right place! Callie has been doing my hair for about a year but even the times I've been with someone different the service has been consistent. The price is very reasonable for a base color and haircut, the atmosphere is great and the staff is friendly and courteous. read more

I purchased a voucher on Style Blueprint for a blowout. I booked an appointment for the morning of a day when I was going to a wedding looking forward to having my hair look a bit more voluminous and styled than I'm able to do at home. Sadly, I can do much better on my own. I left the salon in a state of disbelief and got in my car in tears. The way she styled it looked like I had a mullet (which I assure you, I do not) and was NOTHING like what I asked her to do, which was 'feathered back in an almost 70's style'. Instead she made the ends wavy and messy, put so much product in it that it will take me an hour to wash out and made my bangs square and flat. With less than 2 hours to go before departing for the wedding, I had to run home, wash my hair and style it myself. Waste of money. read more
