Visiting Nashville for work and needed to get my nails done because the previous person who did my nails did a HORRIBLE job - I called in the afternoon and made an appointment for 715 (they close at 8). most places would probably turn you down if you wanted to do a dip powder mani and a gel pedi 45 min before closing, they told me to come right in. I got there at 715 and they were ready and waiting for me. Tina and Long literally got right to work. I have never, in all the years I've been getting my nails done, met anyone who enjoyed doing nails as much as they did. To add, they are the new owners of the salon (since a month ago), a young married couple, and so full of personality that I am seriously contemplating flying in to Nashville once a month to get my nails done with them. Tina cut my cuticles better than anyone ever has, and long gave me the best pedi EVER. My nails literally look like a poster in a shop, PERFECT. I might sound exaggerated but you'd have to see how the last nail salon left my nails looking to understand my excitement when Tina and Long were finished with me. Again, I arrived at 715, I left at 850. Not once did they rush or skimp on anything. I even was offered a glass of wine (I accepted because duh, why not). They prefer appointments so it would be wise to call ahead, and they are literally the sweetest couple ever. I've been getting acrylics for 9 years, I'm no stranger to paying $90 but if I'm paying that much I want them done right and to be what I asked for. I told the tech coffin, and this is what I got which was clearly square. He didn't cut the sides which would've been fine if he filed them into coffin but he spent 2 seconds filing each one and didn't even ask if I liked the shape before proceeding, and the tech gave me attitude for asking for them to be short. Which they need to be for my job. Overall, wouldn't go back or recommend for acrylics. The polish looks nice and they had many color choices. It also could've just been the specific tech who did mine, as they did a full set with gel color in under an hour which to me indicates they don't care enough or take their time. They were super accommodating, I made a last minute appointment and they were very busy, but were able to fit me in. I had some acrylics on, and the technician took them off so flawlessly and painlessly I was absolutely shocked. The price is a bit steep and I'm from CA and this was about $10 more than what I typically pay. With that being said, good service. The only downside is the price. $45 for gel. This is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever been to. I spent over $70 for awful service. When I called to see what time I could come by and get my nails fixed she said that only one person here (who was apparently not there) does acrylics nails. She said I couldn't come in today. I asked to speak to the manager and she said she doesn't know his name. Not only was the service TERRIBLE the customer service was even worse. I would not recommend this nail salon to anyone. DON'T waste your money. I was there for 2 hours (mostly waiting) despite having an appointment. The lady who did my nails was rushed and did a sloppy job. Lavish Nails has been under new ownership since October 2021. Tina, who is the new owner, used to work at a nearby salon which is where I met her. I followed her from that salon to Lavish because she's THAT good! She's a perfectionist so I never leave with anything less than perfection. I've had to go to other salons in a pinch and every time I do I'm reminded why I go out of my way for Tina. It's hard to find a good salon these days and unbelievably hard to find a good pedicure! Yikes. I received the sloppiest manicure of my life here. I asked for it to be cleaned up a bit and still not good. My manicurist seemed rushed and not terribly attentive to detail. 2.5 stars. I'm not sure what happened to the nice people who work here! Usually I can come in, get greeted with a time on how long to wait for service - you know the usual. Today I came in, was looked up and down, a lady asked what I wanted and then walked away and never came back. I sat in the waiting area for 7 minutes when finally one of the nice gentleman there said 'can you wait 10 minutes?' I am very unhappy with the service under the new ownership. I have been a semi regular customer over the last several years and I get pedicures monthly to avoid the pain of ingrown toenail's. Every time I get a pedicure I specifically ask for them to make sure they are completely gone. Well it's only been a week, and I'm in pain and they told me they were going to charge me to fix it. My daughter and I went to this salon to get our eyebrows waxed. A job that should have taken 5 minutes took 25, which wouldn't be a bad thing except most of that time was spent trying to fix the mistakes she made on my eyebrows. When we first came in and asked for a wax she literally picked up a bucket of wax that looked like it had been sitting there for hours. I don't think she's ever waxed eyebrows before. Normally you wax eyebrows laying down, but she had us sit up. I wouldn't have minded if she did her job correctly. First she waxed my eyebrows, and she kept commenting on how sparse and thin they were. Hello....rude! She barely let me look at them before she pushed my daughter into the chair. My daughter has beautiful, thick eyebrows and told the woman to keep them thick , just was the excess hair. She proceeded to wax off part of the top of her eyebrow , then tell me that my daughters eyebrows were uneven because my daughter had been over plucking them. It's like she thought I was blind. I literally watched her wax off part of the eyebrow and then tell my daughter it was her fault. She also LEFT WAX on her eyebrow, so by the time we got home I had to scrape off a bunch of wax and try to salvage her eyebrow. Worst $25 I've ever spent. Bottom line : STEER CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. I am a regular customer at Lavish Nails. I usually call ahead to make sure Wendy can fit me in for dip nails and/or a pedicure and she is always honest about timing. She always helps me choose a great color and does a great job of shaping my nails and applying the dip, which almost always lasts until my nails grow out (they've only chipped a few times and usually it's due to me being really rough on them with yard or housework). Wendy is efficient, polite & does a fantastic job every time. I've now been going every three weeks for six months and plan to continue! It isn't the fanciest place in town, but the people there are kind and do a great job. read more

I don't know if I've ever seen such a lack of professionalism within a business - I went in on Monday for a dipping powder manicure. The lady didn't even do a manicure - just a polish change & they came off the very next day. I went back in after I got off work on Tuesday for them to fix it as I was just in the day before AND was charged for the wrong service. On Wednesday the top coat was already peeling off. Very hesitantly, I came back in for a THIRD time for them to fix the top coat and could tell they were very frustrated too. I was hoping that would be the last time this week that I would have to make the time out of my busy schedule to have them do it right, but I was wrong. I had to go in for a FOURTH time tonight because the same thing from Wednesday happened. I figured it was because the woman was using the gel topcoat instead of a dipping powder topcoat and that maybe they just don't mix well together, so I brought that up but did not seem to be heard or understood. The same thing kept happening and after four hours of my time being wasted on having to come back for them to do it right, I politely asked for a refund. The woman who had been doing my nails said, "We don't offer refunds" & after explaining what happened to me to the manager I got $40 of my $60 refunded, but will not be returning. Very disappointed in this place, and will not be coming back. The ladies just sat in the back on their phones when I walked in and yelled from back asking what service I wanted. Once seated, the lady asked me several times if I wanted to switch to gel instead of regular polish. After the first two times of saying no, I became rather annoyed. During what I wanted to be a relaxing manicure, became overcome with the woman workers right behind me in the pedicure chairs FaceTiming. Very unprofessional and made the experience awful... but not a long experience because that was the quickest manicure I have ever had! If you are looking for GREAT customer service, this is not the place. When I arrived there was one other person there. I thought that this was a good thing because I could get back to work quickly. The gentleman who waited on me was nice, tried to offer conversation, though I was reading and really didn't want it. When he finished with my pedicure, he said something I did not understand to the other employees and left. I was not placed under a light nor given a small fan to dry my toes. The two employees there did not acknowledge my presence, offer any assistance, yes I was ignored. I had to ask them to help me with my shoes so that I could leave and hopefully have my nails dry in the natural air outside. After being helped with my shoes, the individual started toward the back of the shop I had to request assistance to PAY. Probably shouldn't have!! I told them how I felt after paying. Lack of customer service, personal attention (not like it was crowded), and care left me with never planning to go back. So those of you who had a great experience you are lucky! read more
