The path is mostly Gravel with no major impossible rats and looks very well maintained there are benches throughout. Just not the initial part where my mom needed one so she turned around and went back. A time was had by all.

It's a beautiful state but when you're working, you don't always have time to see the sights. This was one of those trips and I was going a little stir crazy. I had considered going to RMNP again but this time of year it's timed entry only. Flagstaff is one of my favorite towns so I figured the mountain would be pretty cool too. I was right. The drive up the mountain is free and mountainy. What does mountainy mean? It's steep, twisty, and locals tailgate you as you white knuckle it to the top. But damn the views are impressive. I was so nervous walking in, but from the moment we arrived, every single staff member made us feel welcomed, safe, and supported. Our guide, Koa, was the perfect balance of fun, kind, and incredibly skilled. He guided us through the rapids with such confidence and ease while also making sure everyone felt safe and included. He checked in on us several times throughout and made sure we were having fun, asked us if we wanted to "spice it up" a bit or keep it mellow and just really let us know this was "our" trip and he's cater to what we wanted. I quickly found myself letting go of fear and enjoying the moment... something I didn't expect would happen. Koa's energy was contagious, and his calm, respectful nature made us feel like we were in the best hands possible. At one point on the river, another rafting company had a mishap and we had to pull over and wait for them to recover and get their riders back into the raft safely. Koa explained what had happened with total grace - no judgment, no gossip - just a calm and respectful explanation. He also spoke so kindly of his own coworkers and even the owner of Liquid Descent. You could tell he genuinely cares about the rafting community and takes pride in his work and LOVES his Liquid Descent family! Every employee we encountered was friendly, encouraging, and helpful - from getting us fitted with helmets and life jackets to cheering us on as we headed out. As someone who started out nervous, that kind of supportive vibe made a huge difference. They encouraged me, and they helped me push past my comfort zone in the best way possible. What a GREAT memory! We will remember this day not only for the thrill of the rapids, but for the kindness and heart of the people who guided us through it! I did not bring my phone because the trail is a little over a mile, so did not capture the full beauty. Ironically, it is man's intervention which makes it look natural. There is ugly metal fencing bordering the creek, reservoir, and farm land. In part to contain invasive species. From a distance, it does not mar the view. It is odd that people were swimming in the reservoir, and it is clearly bordering private land. Sadly, it does not look like there is public access. I visited after work, and when I headed back to my car the lot was completely full. I was the only person without a dog. It has become the local dog park. Probably because of the fencing, and it is very flat so Fido can be spotted from afar. The beginning of the trail has powerlines, but when you reach the loop it opens up and very sunny. Glad I stopped but probably won't return because it is so short.

Located east of foothills off baseline, you can start north off bobolink trail, or drive down to the rec center. There's a large building but numerous trails to walk as well! There are numerous soccer and football fields around, and basketball and racquetball courts. Many volleyball fields and tennis courts too! There's a big dog park as well with a cool little pond beach. I enjoy this park a ton for sunsets and casual walks, as well as time trial runs. This is a must do park!

This mountain bike / hiking trail can be a monstrous beast at times. This trail traverses the steep…read morehillsides of Broomfield and connects to Lafayette and Louisville by way of the Coal Creek trail, and to Superior and Erie by way of the Rock Creek trail. All trails are dirt and crushed gravel and offer magnificent mountain, prairie, and creekside views. A main Trailhead is at the intersection of Highway 287 and Miramonte or at the Lac Amora Park. Be prepared for the occasional steep climb and switchbacks.
