    All Star Glass

Had a couple cracked panes and couldn't find a replacement window anywhere. So glad I came across…read morethese guys. Came back few days later and it looked like new. They also helped me with replacing the tilt latches and replacing the balances which she had to order out of a catalog. Doesn't seem they up charged, either. Probably spent 1/3 the price even if there was a replacement window. Highly recommend!

The delivery team of two men was also kind and professional however the glass maker was probably one of the rudest individuals I have ever encountered. I called All Star Glass to see what their typical wait time for replacing a piece of glass was and they notified me 24-48 hours. After reading the Google reviews it seemed that this was the norm for them. This was important to me because I dropped the glass off on a Monday and needed it by the latest Thursday because I had a flight out of Nashville at the end of the week. I also didn't want to not have a front window for my living room for the entire week especially when I was not there. No worries however because I was told it would be done Tuesday. After receiving no update on my glass, I called them back and was told it would be done the next day (Wednesday). After again receiving no update on Wednesday, I called again and was told it would be done Thursday. By the time Thursday rolled around I called back and was told it would be done Friday even though I made it clear early in the week that I had a flight to catch. When I called Thursday, the woman at the front desk handed the phone over to the glass maker who immediately started yelling and getting very angry, telling me that NO ONE told me the glass would be done in 24-48 hours (just read the other comments. This seems to be the norm) and that HE told me it would be done Friday (I would have never agreed to this in the first place considering I had a flight and wouldn't be able to get the glass on Friday). The glass maker continuously called me a liar, yelling at me, threatening to hang up and not make the glass, saying that no one told me 24-48 hours despite the fact that I was told MULTIPLE times that this is how long the order would take. I tried being cordial as I shared my frustrations of needing to now change my flight but the glass maker didn't care, continuing to throw personal jabs and calling me a liar, referring me to the worst customer he has ever dealt with. Every time I tried calming him down (because I really did need the glass) he continued throwing personal shots at me. Very unprofessional. $355 for glass and $1500 later for having to change flights at the last second, the glass is installed. I would strongly recommend that the owner of All Star Glass gets a new glass maker as the current one is not well.

Nick came out to do an inspection, and in the process of doing so discovered some issues with our pipes and vents on the roof, some items that pictures made clear could quickly lead to serious damage if the wrong winds/rain came through. He showed us a detailed video of the inspection, then offered multiple quotes based on what approach we wanted to take. I appreciated how thorough and how efficient he was-- I've been in situations where at this point in the review an agent for a major company will only offer you the highest possible quotes and make them sound like an emergency and basically take as long as they can in your house to wear you down in hopes that you'll agree to the sell. Nick and Mr. Goodroof did NOT do this and this instantly won us over. We actually opted for a combination of two of the quotes/plans of action he presented, and he worked up a new quote for that. They offered a variety of payment options, including a 12 months same as cash option that you can apply for and access on your phone quickly. We scheduled the service and they had a crew out in less than a week to get the job done. They worked quickly and efficiently. There was some miscommunication on the quotes, plan of action, and updated responses (like the finished report detailing the work done, particularly important for us as the day of the work the approach shifted somewhat and we just wanted to understand why). We never doubted the quality of the work, but due to being burned in the past by other companies, had some reservations. We voiced those complaints and Nick + others at the company got back to us to go over and explain the situation. They explained the reason for the changes, the delayed updates (some due to automation processes on billing etc.), and sent out the crew + Nick (at a 3rd date) to do a final inspection and report. I'm going a "4" which in my book is "great". The price we paid for the work that was done was fair, the work was quality, and both the sell and final report were handled perfectly. Due to some confusion and crossed wires (that took about a week or so of going back and forth) that hindered my enthusiasm of the project briefly in the interim, I'm docking just the one star that would make this a "perfect" experience. I fully intend to use these folks again for some other tasks next year and I have every expectation that they'll bump up to a full "5" at that point ("perfect").

The new gutter they installed leaks at one of the seams and instead of two downspouts they only put one. But the kicker is they actually used my old downspout from the gutter they replaced. Our windows look fabulous but our front door not so much. If I was rating windows it would be 4.75 stars (2 windows arrived broken ) but for doors I'd give 1 star. Nicole salesperson 5 stars ! Although , we paid in FULL up front for a slight discount we were told that it would be completed to customer satisfaction. "Don't worry" they stated. Unfortunately , that is not the case? Our front door has a large gap 3/8 inch around the entire perimeter of the door on the inside although the outside appears correct. The door also measures much smaller (several inch difference)than our original solid wood door which seems odd and no one seems to be able to explain why. According to install papers : CHECK SLAB TO FRAME MARGINS - INTERIOR Achieve and maintain a 1⁄8" to 3⁄16" margin, all corners. Again , ours is 3/8 around perimeter. Sadly , the people who can do something (help customer) leave money on the table if they agree with the consumer? They are paid upon job completion so definitely a conflict of interest. Installers are paid at the end of the install . They take photos and submit to Pella for reimbursement. The door rep and installer says that's the way that door is. It's the max space allowed by manufacturer standard. Not sure why customer would want almost a half inch gap around their door but that's what we were told. The several installers 6-8 on install days felt it too was off. They tried adjusting for hours but it just didn't fit properly until a supervisor came and said ; no it's correct Funny , he is the one who measured originally? The install team was professional , hardworking and precise. Immediately , (day of install) we reached out to our salesperson Nicole who was terrific throughout the process of selections. She referred us to Johnathan (manager) who we reached out too as well. He said he would get back to us but sadly did not until I reached out again today. (Several weeks passed and no contact) He too never came to look at our door ? Asking for an amicable solution he had none. He stated the door is cut by machine ? I guess machines don't make errors? He claimed that he has never had anyone mention the gap and his only solution was to move door to one side which would make gap much larger on other side? We asked for a discount or new different door? He said ; no! Anyways , he said nothing can be done. I would definitely look elsewhere for doors. Again , windows seem solid. We cannot in good faith recomend Pella for any doors especially front doors. Please look at photos. The quality and sizing is off and very disappointed to say the least Our front door looks awful from the inside. Buyer beware !
