My experience with Harrell's Tire & Automotive has been an absolute nightmare. I brought my vehicle in due to persistent misfires and specifically chose this shop because they are listed as a Jasper-approved transmission mechanic. What followed was a series of miscommunications, incomplete work, and questionable billing practices. From the start, I was told by Kaleb that a full diagnostic and fuel pump replacement had been completed. I approved the fuel pump replacement based on this information. However, after multiple follow-ups and showing up to pick up my vehicle, I learned the fuel pump was never replaced. Despite being told the vehicle was running smoothly, I paid nearly $900 and received my car back in worse condition--it no longer even turns over. I also provided the necessary parts for the EGR valve replacement, which they ignored. Instead, they charged me $248.32 for their own part, despite clear instructions to use the one I provided. Their response afterward? "Oh, you wanted us to use your part?"--which had already been discussed. I was billed for multiple levels of diagnostics and essentially nickel-and-dimed, yet I never received a single clear diagnostic report. When I requested documentation to justify the work and charges, I received vague responses with no real findings. I followed up repeatedly by email, and no one responded--even now, I still haven't received the information I asked for. Every time I asked for clarification, I was ignored and when finally receiving a response, i was told the issue was now "out of their scope"--but only after hours and only after repeated follow-ups. This is especially misleading since they are listed as a Jasper-certified transmission repair shop, and that's exactly why I brought my vehicle to them. Despite this, they referred me to another shop that isn't even Jasper-approved. What's more, only 1 of the 4 core issues was addressed. No O2 sensor replacement. No proper resolution of misfires. No transmission diagnostics. No fuel pump replacement. The vacuum leak diagnostic is listed on the invoice, but the explanation doesn't make sense--especially when they claimed they couldn't run the car long enough for transmission testing, yet also said a test drive was done. Prior to dropping my vehicle off, it had misfires, but it started and ran. After picking it up, it won't even turn over. The situation is worse now than when I left it with them. Kaleb claimed it was running well right before pickup--but that clearly wasn't true. They are legally required under NDOJ guidelines to provide detailed documentation of diagnostic findings and repairs, and they've failed to do so despite repeated requests. I never expressed confusion. I approved the repairs--I simply wanted a record of why they were needed and what was found. Instead, I was dismissed and told I didn't understand, which is both false and insulting. This shop lacks honesty, transparency, and professionalism. I paid $900 for a car that's now non-functional, received no valid documentation, and was misled about what was done. Absolutely unacceptable. My dad has been taking our vehicles here for years, normally for alignments, but his truck had some major issues. He took it to the Owen Dr. location, and they kept returning the truck worse than when he brought it in. Even an employee gave me the bird in one of their service vehicles. I told my dad we should have just dropped it at this location because they are good, honest people! After three weeks at the wrong location, we finally got it where it needed to be--this location! After explaining everything, they helped my dad and not only fixed the issue; the truck drives better than it ever has before. They are also always fair in pricing. It's totally worth the hard-earned money spent with a company that is not only honest but reliable. read more

Made an appointment, for an oil change, at 9am. I arrived on time to find out there was an hour and half wait. There was 1 other person in the waiting room. OK I said I'd come back at 10 - 10:30 and was told that if anyone came in ahead of me they would be taken first. My husband and I can not say enough wonderful things about Harrell's Auto Service!! We were traveling home with our fifth wheel in tow of our 2015 Dodge Ram 3500. We got our 3500 a month ago. Our DEF sensor gave us 10 miles before the sensor would stop our whole engine. We parked overnight in a Circle K. In the morning, no dealerships could help us. We called Harrell's... super nice, family owned business, told us to come right in and they would help us!!! Several hours later, we are back on the road and our truck is fixed!!! Carried my truck in for a Freon leak and a leaking coolant hose. Called with estimate and I agreed to the price (which was ridiculously high) because I was tired of the hassle of the leaking Freon. They replace d one hose on the a/c system and the two hoses going to the heater coil, an o ring kit and charged the freon. Picked the truck up and noticed a coolant smell right away. In the morning the smell was stronger and all the windows fogged up, then I figured it was the heater coil. I drove the truck all winter and the morning of dropping the truck off and never smelled a coil leak. Carried the truck back that day and they said it was leaking anyway and offered to fix for another $1700. The place is a ripoff on this occasion. read more

I've had my RVs serviced here for about 8 years. It isn't a complicated RV, just a gas engine Ford F-53. Their service has been very good and until yesterday the prices were fair. Historically, I have been charged between $50-$70 over this time period and I understand prices increase. However, yesterday my charge for a standard oil change jumped to $150. I questioned them and they did not satisfactorily explain the extraordinary increase in cost. I will be finding a new place to take my business. read more

Harrell's did an awesome job on my high mileage 2008 Honda. They worked with me on the cost to help make the multiple repairs I needed more affordable. I took my car to AAMCO first and their 'diagnosis' was off and they quoted me an outrageous price for repairs. I decided to take my car to Harrell's for a second opinion and I'm so glad I did. Manny Timoteo was awesome to work with and he helped to save me $630 over what AAMCO was going to charge me and they would not have fixed the problems. The good: friendly staff. 2 or 3 previous repairs with no problem. The bad: with my last visit the upfront staff was great but I felt like the repair staff was trying to generate income. Took my truck back for what I thought would be covered under warranty since the same repair (vapor canister)was done 2 months prior. But the original mechanic was on vacation so they seemed concerned about paying the 2nd mechanic to handle the repair. As luck would have it the 2nd mechanic found a lot of other stuff that needed to be done for $1800. But just 2 months earlier none of the other stuff was mentioned. I declined. The technicians took their time to be thorough in order to diagnose the issues. They were straight forward and honest. I never once felt that I was being taken for a ride (pardon the pun). The office staff was courteous, friendly, and was able to give me updates without hesitation. This is MY new mechanic shop. They have GREAT customer care and warranties. Their warranty work doesn't take 3 weeks to get done, but they get it done VERY quickly!! They don't take offense, roll eyes, etc. if you have to come back because the repair didn't completely fix it, but they keep at it until it's fixed. Mike was excellent in working with me to get our 2008 Chrysler Town & Country van and 2003 Saturn L200 sedan taken care of. I will definitely recommend them to anyone and will bring my vehicles back to them in the future for maintenance and repairs! read more
