best doctor i've ever had - and my standards are HIGH. and he's a total 'mensch' besides ("mensch" means "a genuine and decent and trustworthy person; someone who will treat you right, and really relate to you, and always as an equal"). there's something about the medical profession that seems to attract folks who are ok professionally, but who don't really relate to you on a human level. so that's one of my main criteria, and it doesn't get any better than dr. jeff harris. his medical knowledge is astonomically superior to most, and his treatments are holistic (even though he doesn't call them that; but he's just as likely to prescribe a vitamin, as a pharmaceutical drug). his office personnel are excellent, too: caring and top-notch, just as you'd expect from a doctor of this caliber. he's been a successful, licensed, practicing physician for well over half a century, and he has been my primary md for about 25 years. and he's kinda known as 'malibu's doctor' - but if you live in northridge - trust me - he's well worth the drive. read more

I was a former patient of Dr. Jeff Harris's two years ago. I had 1-3 visits, and following my 3rd visit, I changed addresses and phone numbers multiple times due to a serious stalker case. I was also advised not to forward any mail via USPS for my own security and safety. Apparently I had an outstanding balance of $350 dollars that I was unaware of. Fast forward 2 years, they sent the bill to collections and I was finally contacted by Ronald Reynolds of Century Credit and Collections and he placed a collection of my credit report. As I have been communicating to him to try to resolve this, all I asked for was a bill and a break down in fees. I am absolutely okay paying any interest accrued. He was not willing to provide me with that information. I called the office directly and spoke with Heather, explaining the situation and she would not let me talk to the doctor to explain. She was not nice at all--it seems like nobody is interested in letting me take care of this. I was shocked to know Dr. Harris's office would not be empathic to my situation at all, perhaps they deal with a lot of "unpaying" patients? Below is an email I sent to the creditor today, who was extremely rude. Moral of the story, god forbid something in "life" happens to you and the office can't get in touch with you regarding an unsettled bill, they will treat you horribly. The funny this is, I paid all my coinsurance during the first two visits and between that and my PPO reimbursement, I'm sure over 2k was spent...you think they'd treat me a little nicer and connect the dots. I would not recommend seeing this doctor after this experience as the office is not understanding at all. Due to this, I could see how the office was not able to get in touch with me and even when you called, you didn't explain anything about the debt, who doctor Dr. Harris was or where he was located, leading me to believe this was a former UCLA surgical bill that was written off. After looking him up on my own and jogging my memory, I was able to clearly remember who Dr. Harris is and what he treated me for, and am happy to pay my outstanding balance and interest accrued given that this unfortunately event was out of my control, to take responsibility, however you wouldn't break down any of calculations for me and I never saw a bill. The reason I've hung up on you, twice now, to the contrary, is because you've been rude and unwilling to let me get a word in, and continued to press your own agenda on me while I was trying to "fix" this mess up. I understand this is your job, but you don't understand that I am not a person who doesn't pay my bills, this was a misunderstanding between both parties. And of course, I will only pay off this debt if it is removed from my credit report. It's unfortunate you've let your emotions take over--as I'm sure Dr. Harris's office would like to collect my payment. Unfortunately I did not have the honor to meet Dr. Harris. I felt very uneasy and uncomfortable in the waiting area and finally after one hour decided to leave. I will continue to search for my primary care physician. read more

Overall best medical care you can ask for - easiest free parking - clean building - wait room has plenty of seating - Dr Harris brings his DOG to work :) - receptionist is straight forward and polite - nurse is very nice - Dr Harris listens to you, documents everything and gives you a logical approach or feedback As a young man who has had most of my medical care overseen by a parent, I can proudly say that Dr Harris is an amazing transition. I am a new patient with Dr. Harris. My husband, my 6 month old baby and I went in last week for an appointment to evaluate our general health. There was a lot of paperwork (especially when filling it out 3 times) at the beginning. But the nurses, and Dr. Harris himself were all very kind and warm. Dr. Harris was very professional, sweet and easy going -- with all of us, including the baby. He had some insight that I haven't heard before about my son's development and growth -- which I thought was interesting! He's a very kind and gentle doctor, with good, and balanced knowledge. The appointment took a long time (several hours) because I think they were overbooked. So the doctor would see other patients in between his consults with each of us. I had the time (and patience) to wait, but I hope that we can be in-and-out quicker on future visits. read more

My husband and I drive 70 miles to see Dr. Harris and it is worth it! We love him so much! He is so kind and compassionate! I have a complex health condition and he goes above and beyond to help me. Best primary care doctor! Plus he brings his dog to work so if you are a little nervous to be there and let's face it most of us get nervous at the doctor, you have a cute dog to give pets to! His office staff are super nice too! The office is always clean. I am so thankful we found him! I can't imagine not having him as a part of my get well team! If he ever decides to retire completely I will probably cry lol. I really don't think anyone could ever replace him :) read more

Very compassionate, exceptional, knowledgeable doctor. He is old school. Takes his time. Actually cares about you and wants to figure out the root cause of what is ailing you , he doesn't just medicate your symptoms. Thx to this amazing doc testing me for different things, he figured out certain genetic mutations that explains certain health issues I'm having to contend with. Jeff Harris is one of the most kind, knowledgable, humble and compassionate doctors I have ever encountered. I have been seeing him for the past 5 years. I drive 30 minutes, sometimes an hour in traffic to see him. He was the first doctor that really showed compassion and was able to successfully treat me for something that NONE of the numerous docs I saw prior could help me with. For this I am forever grateful. I love him. Yes, I often have to wait a bit to see him, but this is because he takes his TIME with each patient. Goes over history, diet, vital information needed to make his diagnosis. I know everyones time is precious, but this my health so I am okay with being there an hour or two. Prepare accordingly! Too often I have been to physicians who ask nothing and basically have a 15 minute timer on and bolt out leaving me with many unanswered questions. This is not the case with Dr. Harris. Dr Harris is a life saver...literally! Dr. Harris is a very thorough Doctor. He is up-to-date with all the latest research and takes time to explain everything to me and answer all my questions. Dr. Harris was able to get to the bottom of my 7 year long progressive illness, treat me, and help me towards a full recovery. He and his employees are respectful, courteous and very prompt with appointments and prescription refills. I highly recommend this doctor. read more
