Ordered some pizzas right before they closed and they didn't turn me away. Ordered the pizza and rushed over there without any problems. The pizza itself was very delicious. I ordered one pepperoni and one taco. The pepperoni was delicious and was cut quad city style. The taco was definitely something different. This one was cut in triangles and served with red sauce, taco meat, cheddar, lettuce, diced tomatoes, and taco chips which appeared to be cool ranch Doritos. What a very delicious pizza. Not exactly sure where this has been my whole life. All I know is that I kept wanting more and more. It was also served with two sides of what I initially thought and had hoped for taco sauce;m, it but it appeared to be red sauce. I've never had quad style pizza but It's one of my favorites now. This is probably the cheesiest pizza I've ever had and it was every cheese lovers dream! The sauce is nice and tangy but not sour, the crust is light and perfectly chewy. The best thing I would say is this pizza reheats super well. As a collector of food experiences, had to try the Quad Cities style pizza. Ya- I watch all the food shows. Found nothing unique about the crust neither taste nor texture. Ordered a deluxe- quality and quantity of toppings were fine. A lot of sausage in a very fine ground, not really to my liking . Take out only for Covid- ordered on site. I stopped by here a couple of Sundays ago with my wife for lunch. We actually made about an hour detour out of our way to try the famous quad cities pizza which I had read about somewhere. Since Harris is the most famous of the bunch, we decided it would be a great introduction to this regional pizza style. Harris isn't much to look at from the outside and the inside reminds you of an older family restaurant. They had a bar in one corner of the restaurant and then lots of tables with advertisements all over them throughout the rest. For lunch on this day my wife and I decided to split one of their pizzas and chose sausage as a topping. It came out to us in a reasonable amount of time later and looked a little weird in the way that it was cut. Once down the middle and then 5 times from the side. The result was a bunch of long rectangular slices instead of your usual triangle ones. We also noticed that the sausage was mostly under the cheese which I personally like in a pizza. This meant that the amount of sausage on the pizza was hidden which was sort of a shame because there was a ton of it. It tasted quite good too with a slight hint of fennel to it. Meanwhile the sauce here was also really good as it had a slight spice to it which I really enjoyed. The crust was a golden brown and had a nice bite to it while there was an ample amount of flavorful cheese on it. So was it that different from your normal pizza? I don't know that it was but it definitely had some subtle things which we really enjoyed. Was I sad that we drove an extra hour for this pizza? Not in the least as I really enjoyed it and thought my wife did as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back to Harris again in the future. The restaurant itself felt homey and I liked the way that they make their pizza, especially the sauce and sausage. read more

Terrible pizza. How does you have any stars when this is what you make? I will not even eat this. A cheese pizza is easy to make. You over sauced the pizza. You did not let it cook long enough. There is no caramelization on the cheese. All of these leads to a terrible pizza especially when it is delivered. We ordered this for our family at the Raddison, and what can u do. We have hungry kids, so there is not sending it back, especially when you do not open it till you get up to your 6th floor room. We opened it and had a mess of cheese, sauce, and what I am guessing is crust. Stop making pizza! And change your box. I came to this place after one of my co-workers, who grew up in the Quad Cities, told me about "quad city style" pizza and told me to try it. The service was fantastic and the pizza, although a style that was not used to, was great! The way the pizza is cut is different (into strips rather than slices) and the tomato sauce is not a sweet tomato sauce but rather spicier and it's not as heavy as the pizza that I was used to growing up in NYC. There were plentiful toppings on the pizza and the service was fantastic. This location is clearly very popular as there were multiple parties and families during a Saturday lunch with others coming in for takeout orders. Love Harris bit unhappy with a recent incident. My mom ordered a pizza and got home with it (20 min drive) and it had the wrong topping. Annoying but not a huge deal since we'll eat most of the toppings. She called the store to report it and they sent a coupon in the mail for a free pizza, went to use it for this weekend and saw it was only good for 30 days and we're just past that point. If the store screws up they should honor an offer to rectify indefinitely. Harris Pizza has been a tradition in my family since my mom was a kid, and I'm happy to keep it alive. I only make it back to the QC once or twice a year, and am really ready for a slice or twelve by the time I make it home. I love the chewy quality of the cheese and the texture and flavor of the fennel sausage. I realized the other night that even the crust has its own unique flavor and texture -- that I also love. Needless to say, I'll be making a return visit before heading back west. As Rock Islanders, this is the location my family generally frequents. I've found that the customer service is pretty good. Though we carry-out exclusively, there is an in-house dining area and bar that seems to be peopled with long-term regulars. The waiting/pick-up area are the same and can become rather crowded, but there is a neat window for viewing the pizzas being made. Harris is my favorite! I hope you love it too. read more

I was born and raised in Rock Island so I knew what Harris Pizza was. Ordered my pizzas and then left with my special needs clients to go eat. One of the clients, a 30 year old man with Down Syndrome, needed to use the rest room. So I went back in, with him, and the cashier said there was no public restroom. She took one look at him and snapped out that answer. She seemed to be revolted by him. I could not believe the lack of empathy. I KNOW there is a restroom there, and just because it is now all carry-out does not mean a person should not use it. The time frame was Tuesday the 13th around 4:30-5:00 PM. This cashier was a chubby white woman with brown hair, and tattoos on an arm...don't know her name but I will NEVER give my business to them again. We Harris lovers know where the knock offs are located , and I've heard some are even better. Next time it will be Poor Boys in Rock Island. Every former Harris employee says its better anyway- I just always used Harris because it was more convenient. read more

One of the classics in the area and I hit it frequently when I'm in town. Tonight was interesting. When I called it rang several times and was asked to hold. It's a popular place. They told me it would be 40 minutes for the pizza which is double the usual time. Very busy tonight. When I got there it was not ready and there seemed to be some confusion but no one was doing anything about it. After another 10 minutes the guy in charge came out and said the ticket got messed up. He voided it and gave me the pizza for free. Things happen, mistakes are made. It's how a business responds that matters. So good action, good pizza made a good night. read more
