Pizza to go on a cardboard disk , then in a bag. Haven't seen this before

As a collector of food experiences, had to try the Quad Cities style pizza. Ya- I watch all the food shows. Found nothing unique about the crust neither taste nor texture. Ordered a deluxe- quality and quantity of toppings were fine. A lot of sausage in a very fine ground, not really to my liking . Take out only for Covid- ordered on site. Told me the wait would be about 25 minutes and that was correct....and reasonable. Love "the story" but was not worth going out of the way.

Still the Best Pizza in the World with generous mouthwatering toppings and that fabulous creamy smooth mozzarella cheese that stretches from the pie tin to your plate. My build your own Hall of Fame RIHS Coach Gerber Special 6-topping pie was absolutely Devine! This local favorite since 1952 also has a rewards program that gives you super discounts on your favorite pizzas and other delicious menu items. I love this place!

Harris Pizza has been in the pizza making business for over half a century. This establishment claims fame to inventing the original "Quad City" style pizza. A family owned restaurant, Harris Pizza is now operated by the third generation of the Harris family. As soon as you walk inside, you can see fresh dough being tossed in the air. Oversized shears are used to cut the pizza with! The dining area was packed, & many people were picking up carry out orders. I chose the National Anthem pie, which has Wisconsin cheddar cheese, hamburger, & bacon bits.

Harris pizza is a Quad City specialty pizza. Cut with scissors into strips and baked with a dusting of cornmeal. Lots to choose from, great staff. Try the sausage pizza you won't be disappointed.

I stopped by here a couple of Sundays ago with my wife for lunch. We actually made about an hour detour out of our way to try the famous quad cities pizza which I had read about somewhere. Since Harris is the most famous of the bunch, we decided it would be a great introduction to this regional pizza style. Harris isn't much to look at from the outside and the inside reminds you of an older family restaurant. They had a bar in one corner of the restaurant and then lots of tables with advertisements all over them throughout the rest. For lunch on this day my wife and I decided to split one of their pizzas and chose sausage as a topping. It came out to us in a reasonable amount of time later and looked a little weird in the way that it was cut. Once down the middle and then 5 times from the side. The result was a bunch of long rectangular slices instead of your usual triangle ones. We also noticed that the sausage was mostly under the cheese which I personally like in a pizza. This meant that the amount of sausage on the pizza was hidden which was sort of a shame because there was a ton of it. It tasted quite good too with a slight hint of fennel to it. Meanwhile the sauce here was also really good as it had a slight spice to it which I really enjoyed. The crust was a golden brown and had a nice bite to it while there was an ample amount of flavorful cheese on it. So was it that different from your normal pizza? I don't know that it was but it definitely had some subtle things which we really enjoyed. Was I sad that we drove an extra hour for this pizza? Not in the least as I really enjoyed it and thought my wife did as well. The bottom line for me is that I would head back to Harris again in the future. The restaurant itself felt homey and I liked the way that they make their pizza, especially the sauce and sausage.

What is this crap? It is not pizza. We just got this delivered to our hotel room. This has to be a joke

Terrible pizza. How does you have any stars when this is what you make? I will not even eat this. A cheese pizza is easy to make. You over sauced the pizza. You did not let it cook long enough. There is no caramelization on the cheese. All of these leads to a terrible pizza especially when it is delivered. We ordered this for our family at the Raddison, and what can u do. We have hungry kids, so there is not sending it back, especially when you do not open it till you get up to your 6th floor room. We opened it and had a mess of cheese, sauce, and what I am guessing is crust. Stop making pizza! And change your box. I can think of fifty places in Colorado ( anywhere in Chicago is better, even Dominos) that are better than your....well what you call pizza.

The pizza is delicious. It's a must have whenever I'm in the area. You can even watch your pizza being made.

We ordered the house salad, which is tossed in buttermilk ranch dressing and it's super delicious. Such a great salad to start with before the pizzas. It's large enough for 3 people to share, as there were 2 of us and we had some left over to take home. Brian Olsen has pizza on lock! He is a master at his craft. These pizzas have an amazing flavor, terrific crust and quality ingredients. They serve burgers and a chicken sandwiche, too! We ordered 3 different pizzas... one with garlic cream sauce and green peppers, one with pepperoni, sausage & red peppers and another specialty pizza with the hot honey & arugula with pepperoni and Calabrian chili's. Man, that was some good Za!! Claire was our server and she was terrific, too! Clearing dirty plates, refreshing silverware and beverages. Terrific attitude! All in all, Bettendorf has an amazing pizza restaurant that the locals should be grateful for in their own neighborhood! And, Smash serves beer, wine, and cocktails, too. I wish I lived closer. I'd become a regular and dine in often! Whenever I'm back in town, I'll be sure to stop by to try some different specialty pies, like the elote pie. That one sounded really good! So did the za with wild mushroom & kale!! Maybe one day Smash will create a taco pizza to compete with Happy Joe's, rip Joe Whitey. But, seriously, there is no comparison between the two. Smash is hands down one of the best pizza restaurants in the QC's and is better that many BIG city pizza spots. Thanks for the good time, great food & service!!

I have not eaten meat in 12 years and also rarely do dairy so the pizza was mostly for my husband. He likes Hawaiian and he always enjoys it and says it's really good. We also have friends that do keto and Top Hat has a great low-carb, cauliflower crust option for keto followers (contains dairy, eggs). Recently they added plant based options - vegan cheese and vegan meat - to their menu so I had to try it out. I was trying to manage my expectations because getting plant-based pizza right is quite difficult if you don't eat it yourself (flavor is flavor, so vegan or not you don't want bland pizza but often it is.) the owner and I chatted about adding these options to the menu and was really nice and supportive and asked some questions about what vegan options I'd like to see on the pizza. Really accommodating and kind (he always has been when my husband and I stop in!). So, on to the pizza... the vegan pizza was fantastic. Probably the best I've had in the QC. We got a small pizza with black olives, green olives, and onions. So if you hate olives please forgive my addiction. Please support this incredible, local, small business.
