General Mills Cheerios has always been a go-to breakfast and an occasional peanut-butter-bar treat. But the price keeps going higher, so i try knock-off versions sometimes. A couple of weeks ago, i tried Giant-brand Oats & O's breakfast cereal. Not good. Twice after a bowlful, my stomach was soon upset. I tried a third time, to confirm. Yep. It doesn't agree with me. As luck would have it, real Cheerios went on sale. By my third (daily) bowl if the original product, i'm still good. So the Giant-brand Oats & O's affects me. The flavor's not much different. What's the difference in the recipe? In the Giant brand, i see oat flour and oat germ instead of whole oats. I see wheat flout and corn germ and calcium carbonate. And I see higher levels of some nutrients. I guess my point is not to assume that knock-offs are the same or as good as originals.

It really seems like they don't have an overnight crew for stocking and cleaning -- everything was being done during the busiest hours, which felt completely mismanaged and not cool at all.
