We'll…read moreprobably not since I have made it my life mission to get the VA ABC system straightened out statewide. This is a newer store that replaced the Hampton Cunningham location about .7 away. It's in a new strip off Coliseum Boulevard. Parking seemed adequate, lot clean. Exterior signage is great if in front, otherwise you cannot see from the road. The look is fresh. The interior is massive wide open using mainly exterior walls with few interior shelves. Large windows provide great natural lighting. It's a very nice upgrade compared to aging state liquor stores. Checkout has if my memory serves right three checkouts. Inventory was challenged due to the multifaceted issues in our world including glass shortage, supply chain issues, newer warehouse and driver shortage. It all adds up to pandemic problems. A surprise on the shelf was an Angles Envy Rye which is a hard to find. I did not purchase anything, but was greeted entering the store. This was a bit of a road trip for me, so I will not be back anytime soon. Recommend checking them out, but don't drive out of your way unless already in the city.

Then came a Super Kroger Store to the area after some serious renovation went on. Other Business came back and Virginia ABC followed suit. Today marked my first time visiting and let me tell ya, the store is HUGE! Problem is, there is a lot of empty space. I just hope they take advantage of that space with more products and displays, which I'm sure they will. Now don't get me wrong, their selection is one of the best in the city. Always has been, probably always will be. I give credit to the staff, who I know personally for I use to work there. But these managers here really know how to order some products. Store always has a nice selection, and always stocked. I remember working there and seeing the products brought in, I was thoroughly impressed. Of course, being a state store, the price is always uniform regardless of the store you go too. But this store goes above the rest with the product selection. I was looking for a different bourbon to add to the collection and ran across several things I didn't have. Ended up getting a $159.00 bottle of 12 year aged Whistle Pig Rye Whiskey and it was $40.00 off! While there got a chance to talk to an old Colleague I worked with, she was AWESOME! Now don't get me wrong, I'm not giving them a good review because I use to work there, no it just this store is that good! So by this spring, the selection will be even better! Only problem is the parking look is out a bit so a lot of people pull yo right in fromt of the store, so be careful when crossing in front of the lot cause around 5 pm to about 7 the traffic is busy. You can't beat going to a place where you can buy products for a good price. Let's see how the shopping went. We were good with finding products for food to cook. For Sophia's egg rolls, we purchased bean sprouts and spring roll wraps along with ramen noodles and seaweed. I also bought t-bone steaks for a good price for air frying. The best thing about E Mart is they have a lot of stuff you wouldn't find in regular grocery stores. Hopefully, I can find some things to try for meals. You'll never know what you can discover here. Well, there you have it. Great service from staff, a whole lot of items to pick for yourself (and others too) and an environment where it's comfortable and not giving you a rush vibe. This location just behind Quaker Steak and Lube is a good location for the local Stoney Creek residents - just leave your front door and 'bam", your there. I suppose prices are reasonable, but I don't buy liquor very frequently so I can't really compare especially since Virginia ABC is the only authorized liquor vendor. Drink responsibly.

Didn't think it was possible, but my chicken had a crispy coating with rubbery chicken skin, no flavor & greasy as heck! The fries tasted like they were cooked & then reheated by microwaving too long; making them soggy & rubbery. The hash browns were soggy & greasy too. The turkey sausage sub tasted rubbery like it had been reheated/microwaved too long as well, the 1 roll was the only thing that tasted edible. Probably because it required no cooking! The quality of cooking has gone down so much that i won't risk driving across town for bad food again. Royal Farms, your chicken has an excellent reputation for being the best.
