I often find better deals here now in their weekly circulars than at Food Lion, and the produce is ALWAYS much better than Food Lion. I like that they have many, many niche items -- stuff not many people probably want, but I appreciate. For example, the red velvet cake pettifors I got for my birthday - SO good, and they keep longer than regular cake, so I can enjoy them slowly. And really, the customer service can't be beat - the staff is always friendly and helpful. I accidentally left one of my bags recently, and by the time I got home and realized it, I figured it was a lost cause. Called over to the store, and the service desk had it for me! I've literally never had a bad experience. They always are so polite and go out of their way to help! They have a wonderful selection of flowers that have only gone empty on Mother's Day weekend. I get flowers from them every 2 weeks, they last pretty long. Unlike the majority of the fruit from regular grocery stores, theirs doesn't go bad fast. Despite all of the viral foods that make all of the random ppl come here to record, it's not bad if you come at the right times. Their selection of products are the absolutely best. I had my favorite items and look forward to the new finds. The store is always clean and there are always good vibes. Corey the manager is pretty awesome & always goes out of his way. The employees always seem happy. They are always working hard. They work hard stocking the shelves and keeping the store organized and clean. We are fans of the samples. Their bath products are fantastic. I love their shampoo and conditioner. Don't skip the frozen food section as well. They also back up their products if there is an issue. Trader Joes has so many great products! I purchase new flowers every 2-3 weeks. Their flowers last so long. My secret is changing the water every week and I use the "food". Their flowers are very popular. I personally love this location. I have gone to the Williamsburg location and just going I did not enjoy it. I would only go in a pinch.

Farm fresh is a place to be for your produce that is hard to find. This is the spot we get all of our hard to find produce, as well as our ingredients for Asian/hawaiian meals as the selection is expansive and you can usually find nearly everything you need. Since it has a lot of specialty items, I couldn't tell you if they are good deals or not, but I can tell you, they probably have it so that's half the battle!

Let's see how 2025 went for us. For the most part, Food Lion served us well. When it comes to deals, they come through. You can't beat Buy One Get One free deals which saves you money. Also, I joined their MVP rewards where you shop and earn discounts depending on certain items. Believe me, they've come in handy for saving more out of my wallet. There are times were produce may not be in the best shape depending on the time of day you shop, but for us, we had more good days than bad. And just like that, the year went by fast. Great service from staff, less shopping times and welcome vibes all around. Food Lion will continue to be one reliable spot for us :)

Then I asked again if she worked in store and she showed me her badge which I did not see at first as to why I asked her. I felt she came across as rude. Mind you this was 1st time in this particular Food lion. Once getting to register, the customer service guy was very rude. I pointed out to him that one of the bags was torn at bottom. He responded that he knew and I did not need to let him know that. He proceeded to say & show me where to put my credit card in machine to pay, which I said that I knew how to pay. I told him if I can speak to the manager. He refused. There was a lady & guy standing nearby where cigarettes are kept. I asked the lady can I speak to manager. She said she was the manager. Sure she heard me because I was talking loud dur to way I was being treated. When I explained to her what had happened, she just said ok, like there was no problem. I said to customer service guy, his name is Adian on his badge that I was neither stupid, dumb or retarded. I was so upset over this experience in this store, I will never plan on setting foot in any Food Lion again. I'd rather spend my money on Walmart. Never experienced anything like this there.

You can't beat going to a place where you can buy products for a good price. Let's see how the shopping went. We were good with finding products for food to cook. For Sophia's egg rolls, we purchased bean sprouts and spring roll wraps along with ramen noodles and seaweed. I also bought t-bone steaks for a good price for air frying. The best thing about E Mart is they have a lot of stuff you wouldn't find in regular grocery stores. Hopefully, I can find some things to try for meals. You'll never know what you can discover here. Well, there you have it. Great service from staff, a whole lot of items to pick for yourself (and others too) and an environment where it's comfortable and not giving you a rush vibe. We stopped in during our search for a certain brand of sucking candy made in Indonesia, and only available in a few retail shops in and around Newport News, VA. Kundan isn't one of them, unfortunately. The store is undergoing major renovations. Some aisle are inaccessible and many are simply empty awaiting completion of the work. The folks we spoke with tried to be helpful, but they couldn't find what we were after. Given the upheaval in the store, with tripping hazards abounding, they probably would be wise to close their doors and ask for temporary forgiveness as they endeavor to upgrade and modernize the facility. I am sure their customers would understand and appreciate the concern for their wellbeing. I know I would.
