I came in to buy something to drink and I came across this pleasant surprise. Crimson Sour Cherry and Cheerwine sodas. I've had Cheerwine before but the Fanta was a new treat. The cashier was friendly and asked was I from the area and I said no. She asked were both of the sodas were for me ? I laughed and said yes but I wasn't planning on drinking them both today. I had a shot at five different stores to try to find the specific non-alcoholic beverage that I was looking for. This was my last stop I wanted to try out too and this place had my bold Rock Non alcoholic beverages I was looking for! Best of all they had it on sale! The store was pretty packed as well just be careful to not path of the store or you would have to go to the gate to get through and turn back around. It's in a busy strip Plaza. Overall, I was content with the selection of food and drinks that were also here as well and they're very comprehensive selection of alcohol. read more

A bit on the pricy side. Service was good. Most people shop here because they have a better selection. Most other grocery stores on the island are small with limited selection. You have to leave the island to get selection with lower cost. I would classify them as good selection, clean, and convenient. read more

Whenever I come to Hilton head, I look forward to my morning bike rides to Harris Teeter. I usually pick up items for lunch to enjoy by the pool. They have the best fish and seafood counter. Their vegetables are amazing as well. Everything is really fresh. The staff are always helpful. I've purchased all sorts of things from here. I've used the salad bar, the hot bar, the sushi bar and usually pick up a lot of fruits and vegetables. Like most of the grocery stores in the area since the pandemic, the prices for groceries have skyrocketed. I was shocked at how much more food is here versus where I'm from. We stopped to grab a few things while staying at the Hilton Head Island MotorCoach Resort a few blocks away. For those of you planning a trip here your map apps will be one of your best friends while on the island, local ordinances prevent any business from displaying large or tall sign so with all the beautiful landscaping a lot of the places that would normally be in plan sight as you drive around aren't so easily seen. This is a beautiful store that is fully stocked with just about anything you'll need during your visit here including nice Starbucks products to enjoy while you shop. I just ran inside for few items and it was great experience, the staff at checkout was very friendly and accommodating, so this was definitely a five star experience but I understand no business can be 100% perfect all the time but if they make every effort to resolve any issue that's really all one can ask for - with so many SKUs from so many vendors everything is not absolutely under their control prior to things arriving at their store so I tend to over look minor issues and focus on the total experience. I'm a happy camper having found this place, this is a very clean and well managed store and in today's crazy economy they offer reasonable prices and fortunately for those that can't manage some short comings from retailers there are other options but I'm sure they at times have their issues as well and mat struggle with the overly pretentious... read more

Literally someone from my party may stop at Harris Teeter almost daily when we are in Sea Pines. We love this top quality grocery store so close. With a multi-generational family trip someone always needs something. Harris Teeter is where we buy all of the higher quality Deli Meats, Butcher Items, Fresh Seafood, and Bakery Items we need while vacationing in Sea Pines. We comment on how many employees are available to help each and every time we shop. Harris Teeter offers Pick Up and Curbside, but here we mostly run in so we can pick the items ourselves. There is parking on both sides of the front door. Become a VIC Card Member, it's free at Customer Service or online. You will save a lot of money and earn rewards. read more

Harris Teeter is the only supermarket chain that carries the certain low carb bread that fits on my keto diet, so after our lunch and our shopping, we stopped here and I cleared out the freezer. Five loaves, some of which I will have with sandwiches this evening and the rest will go into the cooler for the drive back to Charlotte tomorrow. This is a clean and tidy store. I placed a grocery pickup order and had a very long wait and unfortunately a bag was left out of my order. I called later and spoke with a manager and when I went to pickup the bag, he had flowers and a gift card waiting for me and was super apologetic. Mistakes happen, especially on a long holiday weekend, and I was very impressed with how he went above and beyond to rectify the situation! read more

What is happening with this store? Two weeks ago I bought a Reeses frozen peanut butter pie from their ice cream pie/cake frozen section. When I got home and opened the box, it had obviously melted and been refrozen again. So schlepped back to customer service and showed them the mess. Today I bought some fresh chives, what I thought were fresh. Opening the plastic container yielded spoiled yellow stems. There was no expiration date on the packaging. So back again to customer service. Is the store not rotating their inventory or are they trying to pass off inferior products? read more

After a long day of riding bikes, my family and I needed something to drink (juices/water) and we wanted a bottle of red wine and a salad. We stopped here at Harris Teeter, which is right by Sea Pines and after entering the store a young man approached me and asked if I needed help. I recall him saying he was from Moldova (Eastern Europe by Romania) He was extremely helpful and brought me to both sides of the store to show me where all of the juices were, he was great. The lady at the checkout was fantastic as well and gave us some advice on what to do in the area. I was very impressed with the service at this grocery store, if only other places were like this as well. The store is very clean and well maintained and it is nice and cold too. For those who do not like the cold, you might want to wear a jacket inside the store. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who is in the area. I give the main st store HHI store 3 1/2 stars and the co manager 0 stars for customer service. I was standing in line on a busy day 5/14/2022 at 1115am discussing with a friend how at peak hour there were 8 check out lines but only three had clerks forcing us into the self check out line when the comanager walked up and asked me, Sir is there a problem? I replied yes, lack of check out persons. he yelled and growled angerly at me that he had tried to hire people but could find none. he said if I could do a better job he would hire me and did I want the job. The irony was, we were in a sense working for the store without pay because we were in the self check out! I have been coming to this store for over 20 years but if this the kind of management they hire, no more. I have switched to Publix where there is peace and always staff to serve you properly. read more

Good experience here. The store is clean and feels ample. They have a good general selection and the things we were looking for were easy to find. The staff we interacted with was friendly and helpful. The checkout system is a little confusing though, you enter the line kind of behind the cashier's backs and the cashier takes the cart from you. Mason far exceeded customer service expectations today. I came out of the store to find firefighters putting out a fire that started in the engine of my car. Since I live on Daufuskie Island I don't have a second vehicle so Mason offered to drive me and my groceries to the Haig Point ferry embarkation so I could get back home. read more

Great produce. And if you want to shoplift, Savannah (Co-Manager) didn't staff the self checkout so you can just go for it. And, if you ask her about it after waiting 5 minutes she'll get really sarcastic with you. She must be a joy to work for. It's awful to shop in a store she co-runs. Good news. Harris Teeter tracks inventory well, so shelves are stocked and we got our list quickly. Take our $170 of groceries to checkout. No person at the self checkout desk, none at customer service. We get our groceries scanned okay. Until the 36th item. The system says we need help. So we wait. It auto clears the alert. We scan more. 40th item, beer. Need an ID check. Wait 5 mins. Unlike Kroger or Publix self-check, the lights don't flash here when help's needed. We ask someone with an HT tag on and she says she can't help she's off the clock and walks out. Wait a few more mins and then I see the switch to make the neon light flash turning it on and off. This is when we got the thrill of meeting Savannah. She comes over and says "turning the light on and off doesn't do anything." Well, after 8 mins it got your attention. I say I'm going to let her corporate know about her poor performance and she said "wonderful!" Feels to me Savannah needs to either better staff the store or, apologize when customers tell her they've been waiting 8 mins for an ID check. I'd go with better staffing. Cuz those of us who don't shoplift can't easily checkout while those who do shoplift can easily walk right out through self-checkout. Shop elsewhere or, perhaps Harris Teeter will say "See Ya Savannah!" and both their profits and customers will rejoice. :) read more

Wow. As a child I grew up with a father in the grocery business. Often vacations to other states included way too many trips to other grocery stores so that he could look at them. I was always there tagging along listening and learning. It's 45 years later and I still walk into most grocery stores with an eye for a review. This is perhaps the best looking best managed and best laid out store I have ever seen. The produce section was unbelievable. I've never seen anything like it. The whole store is amazing and it will be my new go to store when on the island. It will also become my new gold standard by which all other stores are judged. read more

Loved shopping at Harris Teeter! It's big, clean, and there's so much to see. The produce section was filled with fresh fruit & vegetables as well as some exotic fruit and lots of samples. I sampled the cantaloupe and it was sweet, juicy and delicious! It's one of my favorite fruits. The seafood counter boasted of fresh catches of local fish & shellfish. I took home some sea scallops, and they were fantastic. There's a nice array of cheeses in the cheese section. At checkout you don't have to unload your cart; the cashier does it for you. It couldn't be more convenient. No matter what you have on your shopping list, I'm sure you will find everything you need at Harris Teeter. I would definitely shop here again! read more

Harris Teeter has the absolute worst checkout process. One person who removes items from cart, scans them, bags them and places in cart. In line for 30 minutes to checkout. There's a reason no other grocery store does this. read more

My wife and I come down here every year, and have been doing so for some time. I am new to this store, but will not be coming back again. Being admittedly unfamiliar with the checkout lines, I came to a checkout lane that had the light on, but the chain across the lane in front of the register. I asked the clerk if he was open, and his response was "My light is on". In spite of what may not have been rude, but certainly not the polite, welcoming greeting that I would have expected, I continued through the checkout. During the process, he did not look up, did not say a word, and when done, simply handed me the receipt. No "thank you", no "hope to see you again", no nothing. There are too many good stores in the area to feel like an imposition for bringing my business here. 12/8 - I talked to the manager today, who reassured me of their commitment to service, and apologized for the episode described above. At the end of the day, it is my view that this is a reflection on management more than on the employee, and he assured me that he was committed to ensure this does not happen in the future. read more

Not a fan of this place. It's open till midnight, but the deli and other service areas are shut right as a drum at 9:10. When perusing produce with a few other customers, an employee appears and shuts off the lights! Checkout experience was weird. The assistant manager told us we didn't need a card as a visitor to the area. Cashier didn't seem to be in sync with the policy, gave me a dirty look when I asked for a courtesy card scan and didn't acknowledge or thank me in any way. This was my first and last Harris Teeter experience. There's just too much competition around to be bothered with grumpy people. read more

I shop here about 5 times weekly. Have shopped here over 20 years. They have some of the best customer friendly and helpful staff on this Island. Until today. My casher Caedin was beyond rude. He literally threw every item out of my cart onto the bagging area. Where I was bagging my own groceries with my own bags. Not sure what his attitude was but when I commented he sneered and told me to have a nice day. I have literally bought gift cards for a cashier who went above and beyond to help me and a few others on another occasion when she should have been closed. I attended the funeral services of one of their workers a few years ago. Today I'm not sure I'll ever go back. My VIC card is older than my marriage and I've been married over 20 years. read more

My family and I have visited Hilton Head many times for Vacation and this is the only place we shop for our groceries. The place is very well maintained, very clean, and always seems to be well stocked. The staff there is extremely helpful and friendly which I always find to be a key attribute in any shopping experience. My only complaint is that it is a little small but many people love that about it. This is definitely the place to get your groceries when you are in Hilton Head! read more

This is our "go to" grocery store when staying on Hilton Head Island. The store has grown over the years. They have the necessities that we need while on vacation. We usually eat breakfast and sometimes lunch in our condo. We also get beverages there. They have a decent selection of beer and whine. Their produce is decent and they have a nice deli selection. The store is just outside Sea Pines and is very convenient since there are no super markets within Sea Pines. read more
