I don't really leave reviews for just plain old regular grocery stores all that much but I felt like it was important for me to leave a review today. I actually had a very good customer service experience today. And I think that is worthy to recognize. The grocery store was packed this morning as would be expected on a Sunday around lunch. I didn't really come in with a plan so I am trying to decide what to make for the week while in there at the same time. As I was walking around there was who I believe to be a manager or so - he was in a pink shirt today - approach me and ask what I was looking for. I told him and he took me straight to it. Later, when I passed by him again, he asked me if I was still good. Then when I went to check out, I had a good experience with Dresden. He was quick, efficient, kind, professional, and did the job well. I appreciate that he was ringing up the order quickly, packing the bags all by himself, and checking to make sure I was cool with it. He is clearly a hard worker and seems to be a great asset to this local HT. All and all, for someone who hates big hall, grocery shopping, I had a good of a time as I could have. I appreciate the customer service that I personally experienced, and that I witnessed the other people experiencing as well. PS I did order a pumpkin spice cold brew from the Starbucks inside - I've never had a pumpkin spice anything from Starbucks - and it was so freaking good. read more

I would give 10 stars if I could. Out of all the grocery stores I've been in my lifetime, Harris Teeter is superior. From the cleanliness inside, to the friendly staff, to all the ama:ing organic and healthy options of food, you can not beat them. I live closer to other grocery stores but drive the extra distance just to go to Hardis Teeter. They have everything and offer free cookies to kids while they last-- which my son loves. read more

Don't bother trying to order groceries ahead. These employees are dumb as a herd of turtles. They consistently forget full bags of food, have given me 4 expired cartons of milk, they charged me for a rotisserie chicken that was set for pick up at 7 PM, but then throw it away "because it's at 7 PM" ,and still charge you for it. I could continue, but you get the point. Ordering ahead should be convenient. It shouldn't require phone calls and multiple trips and constant explanation to multiple employees. read more

I go here all the time and I love going to this Harris Teeter. I have to admit it's not my favorite but it is up there. The store is always stocked, especially the fruit and veggie area. If I need something the staff is always willing to help. I love going to the fresh meat area because that is some of the nicest staff there! The sushi makers will also make you whatever you want with the ingredients they have on hand, nice and fresh. Same goes for the fresh made subs right next to it. The area that makes me mad is the deli. Most times they have only one person working that area and a huge line forms and they don't acknowledge that we are waiting. To top it off there are usually 2+ people in the bakery (why, no clue) and they look at us waiting in line and do nothing. It is almost like they are laughing on the inside and saying that ins't their problem instead of helping out. Makes me mad. Visit this Harris Teeter quite often, rarely remember to check in... Fantastic staff!! Each person I have come in contact with, especially since Covid, has given me, and us, stellar customer service...always such a great experience! Terrible customer service! I asked the front desk if they could find out if another store had some thing, and instead of checking for me, the lady told me I had to call myself. Great Teeter! They have really nice (New England style) fresh lobster rolls in the deli area for $7...wow...those cost around $14 up north.

My wife went to the Harris Teeter butcher at the Carolina Beach Rd. Location in Wilmington, NC. She asked for 5, thick cut, NY Strip steaks. She asked for them to be marbled. The butcher explained to her that they were all "Reserve Angus" so they would all be marbled. What we got were 5 NY strips with a quarter of an inch of fat through it and NO marbling. Incredibly disappointed and this is not the first time. I spoke with a butcher there and he told me you have to buy steaks with large fat streaks rather than a steak with marbling because they are the juiciest. TRAIN YOUR BUTCHERS!!!!! Now I am marinating 2 inch New York Strip steaks, How embarrassing. read more

Great customer service, clean store, and good prices. The staff always does an excellent job to make me feel welcome. Often they ask if I found everything in a genuine way. Highly recommend Harris Teeter. The pizzas are really good and reasonably priced also. Always enjoy shopping here and the store is usually clean. read more

I shop here for incidentals because it is close to my house. I do not do all my grocery shopping here because some of their prices are quite high. That being said, they often have great deals and sales. They have a great wine and good beer selection. Their pharmacist has always been knowledgeable, timely, and friendly. The best part about Harris Teeter is the wide range of products. They have an amazing product selection. I grew up in Europe, and Harris Teeter carries several products that are available in Europe that I have not seen at other grocery stores. The best part, it is open 24/7! Very happy to have this store so close by. read more

Great Harris Teeter! Not much to write about since its a grocery store chain, but I will say this store is clean, the employees are nice and helpful, they never seem to run out of stock on sale items, parking is good, location is good. So overall my go to grocery store where I am living. read more

Love this place, but the produce department keeps cat calling my wife. Not cool. The management does nothing to correct this.

For the past several months, I have purchased shelf items that are past best buy dates. I usually check the date but some I miss. For example, just opened Orville R popcorn to pop and it just expired. Wouldn't be a big deal if it was once and a while. read more

A great grocery store. They always have samples, friendly service, and clean.

Since we were coming on vacation and had a rental with a full kitchen, I wanted to splurge on good meats and produce. Unfortunately, this Harris Teeter was like many I've stopped in- the produce is not fresh and it's overpriced (much like the rest of the groceries). The very best grocery store I have ever been in. It's hard to beat Publix but I drive past all other stores to go to Harris Teeter. Everything is very fresh! The seafood blows all other grocery stores away! The meat department is top of the line. 1.99 chicken breast best deal. Friday 5.00 bores head foot long hoagie. Get one! This is a great store for being so far from town. The only thing that rubs me the wrong way is the pizza stand; its not that good and seems mean spirited with a franchise Papas Murphy next door. Can't a large corporation live side by side with the little guys? This store is OK if you don't want produce. The produce section is dismal when you get up close. If you use prepackaged salads, be warned- the greens are often very wet. The onions and potatoes often have flies buzzing around which is repulsive. I have seen mold in the strawberries several times and have pointed it out, but it seems to keep happening. The bell peppers are often, for lack of a better word, scratched up. I have even bought bell peppers only to cut into them at home and find them black inside. Again, if you don't want produce then this store should suit your needs. If you do want nice, fresh produce I'd advise going elsewhere. read more

I shop at this particular Harris Teeter all the time and everyone is always very professional. Recently had a issue regarding a pizza pick -up that went wrong, the management staff (Fred White) went above and beyond to make the inconvenience right. i was just in there and we were admiring the doughnuts, etc. in the case at the bakery. 1 of the employees walked by and had a tray of fresh cookies to put out there. it was full so he put his hands in there and grabbed the doughnuts/bearclaws with his bare hands to make room for the new items. i've never seen anyone there handle food w/o gloves so i was really surprised and definitely did not get anything out of there. it seems so unsanitary to touch about 6+ bakery items w/no gloves. i like H/T but won't get anything out of there. read more
