I was very impressed with Aisha. When I went by to pick up my glasses, I saw her coworker because Aisha had a customer. The coworker appeared to be very helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. The only thing is that even though I made it clear that I wanted The basic which I previously had, and no more. This lady ordered me A lens more expensive than what I had. I told her that I wanted the bifocal, and that these glasses were not showing the bifocal. She went on to say that these were much better and tried to pitch me the idea that they were. I told her that I did not care that I could see the bifocal on the lens as I did not want to pay extra. She proceeded to tell me that she discussed it with me when I was ordering my glasses, and I told her that I did not agree and was not told that was what I was getting. The fact that my glasses were over $300 was bad enough, and what she ordered for me was more than I wanted. Because I insisted that that was not what I ordered, I felt like I should have gotten an adjustment on my bill, but she would have none of that. I went ahead and took the glasses as they were, but let her know that I was not happy with what she did. She is extremely nice and always tells you, God bless you, and I don't think it is right. She should not try to get as much as possible out of the customers without fully explaining what she is doing. Even though I had the glasses picked out with Aisha and everything was discussed as to what I wanted, this lady proceeded to tell me that those were not good glasses and that she had a better pair which she talked me into getting. I called this being a little dishonest, and instead of trying to help the customer, It seems like she is more interested in making a bigger sale. I don't believe that God is pleased with her tactics.

While Dr. Sattam's exam and assessment was fairly thorough, it felt like she didn't really care about me as a patient. She arrived to the exam room sipping a beverage from the large insulated drink in her hand which she set down on the counter in the room before starting the exam. Next, she proceeded to identify a few significant concerns about my eyes and vision but offered no follow up. She vaguely mentioned several specialists who can run a number of additional tests but offered no referral or added information on how to pursue these services to find out more information. Finally at the end of my appointment she handed me a set of sample contacts to put on and just told me to see the front desk. She then went to the back of the office while I put on the sample contacts, packed up her belongings, and walked right past me once I reached the desk to leave for the day. I appreciate the fact that they offer appointments later in the day (I had a scheduled 4:45pm appointment for which I arrived exactly on time) however if leaving as soon as possible is the priority, I would recommend that they adjust their appointment schedule to their convenience.

I went in around the end of August and this was my first time getting an eye exam done in 2 years and since my current pair of glasses were beginning to fall apart I figured I would get a check up to renew my prescription and buy a new pair of glasses. Since I am a student at UH, I got my exam done for around ~$30 dollars or so, can't remember exact. My experience was terrible honestly. No one warned me or asked me about dilating my eyes, the diabetes and cataracts testing that would be done, or that a 10 minute eye exam was going to take OVER 3 HOURS. I also can't believe that they would do any of this considering I had to drive myself home afterwards. Although it doesn't surprise me, because I should add, there's definitely a sense of entitlement and elitism among the staff here. As soon as you walk in to the exam area, all the kids wearing their little coats are extremely stuck up, so it's no surprise that they think they can do whatever they please with the patients, while being completely careless and rude. So after over 3 hours of endless exams, and drops in my eyes, who would've guessed that my new prescription was going to be wrong? Yup you read that right, after all that, they the one thing I went in there for, my prescription that didn't even change over 2 years they got wrong. I didn't order my new glasses until the end of this past November through GlassesUSA, and received them the second week of December. After trying them on for a couple days, I immediately called the eye institute and was rudely told(of course), that NOTHING could be done because I was past my 3 month mark. Seriously? Because I was TWO WEEKS, past my 3 month mark, I wasn't allowed a refund, or a reexamination. At the time of my exam, I was actually very optimistic and excited, that I even recommended my friend to get hers done as well. Guess what? They got hers wrong too. At one point I thought I could recommend this place, but at this point, I recommend you steer far away from it. Save your money, save your time. I had to waste my money here, and then get another exam done elsewhere, for a total cost of $100, on just eye exams alone. Thank you for not only getting my prescription wrong, wasting my entire day, but also being of absolutely no help at all. Worst customer service and experience I've ever had.
