The park is clean with lots of shade and picnic tables and it is not overly crowded although I still recommend going early to get a prime picnic area. The lake is calm and was the perfect temperature. I look forward to spending much more time here with my family next summer

Some of the best campsites at this location are definitely the lake sides ones as these give you direct access to the lake without having to leave your site! However, it isn't too difficult to either walk to the lake or take a short drive out to the day use area if you have one of the inner sites. One of the big draws of this location was the lack of RV's which makes for an amazingly quiet and relaxing experience. The site also has strict rules about when you can run your generators which definitely helps as well. Many of the sites that we passed by where mainly tents with smaller camping trailers. There are also a variety of trails near by as well as access to some cool looking mountain biking courses. It is important to note that there are no shower facilities here or full bathrooms. However, all their porter potties/washrooms are actually fitted with flush toilets! They are also cleaned very frequently. Overall, this place is great for families and perfect for car camping enthusiasts that want a more peaceful and relaxing experience. Additional notes: The campsite is located just 5 or 10 minutes from Tulameen which means easy access food/supplies if you need a top off. Also if you need propane you'll need to go across the street from the town's general store - look for the motel, and call the posted number to get service. The owner lives pretty close by and can generally get there in 5 minutes or so of the call. They take debit/cash.

So we went to the lake. This lake was located right around the corner from our Airbnb. Its very easy to find and if you get here early enough there is lots of parking. We just brought our towels and swim suits and picked a spot on the grass near the sand. It was a very sunny day out in Washington. The kids headed right out and walked out to the floating decks. They were able to jump off and swim around. They had so much fun. We were here all day. They have a small snack shack with limited options. We got ice cream at some point. Then suddenly the kids and my husband decided that they wanted to take a paddle boat out into the lake. I had no interest. They had a good time. I personally thought it was too windy and at some point my husband had jump out and swim push the boat back to the shore. He made sure to let the people working that they should warn people that the wind may make it very hard to paddle back to shore. All in all it was a fantastic afternoon. The kids wanted to come back again but our trip was cut short and the time we did have didn't account for a second visit. Not sure we will ever be back again but we would if we could.

The park is large with much space to run and play, explore and enjoy. Buildings (pavilions, basketball court/gym) are available on the grounds for private rental, and plenty of parking can be found on the property. (On hot summer weekends, parking does fill up quickly.)

All the happiest pups say rainbow!!!!!!…read more Finding this place was such a happy coincidence. And I am so glad. We were staying in the Four Seasons Whistler this week. Decided to drive out of our hotel and it was worth the trek. Wish I found this spot sooner. It's a gorgeous, open, clean, fresh and stunning park. Both for human and your fur babies. The human side is first. Tiny little ice cream truck, volley ball court, roped off shallow swim area and the whole entire gorgeous lake with the glaciers! Brrrr! The doggy park/ rainbow park/ barking bay is right inside here as well and just covered by a tiny, short door. Which is also open! And the fun begins. Baci hasn't swam in such big or open lake before so I was worried. But as soon as we entered into such lush green grass area full of people sunbathing with their dogs, kids diving off the docks, dogs jumping in, Baci went wild! So happy! They even had a puppy ramp for the dogs to come back up!! Baci didn't jump off, he was actually worried for all the dogs that did and barking at them. Pretty sure he thought they were drowning :D But the dog owners are also super chill, nice and fun! They tried to help Baci jump. Even the kids tried to get him to jump. First day he didn't jump but he went in the water! Followed few other doggos and oh hey!! Doggy paddle!!! So proud! Such happy moment. The doggos had a ton of fun chasing balls and sticks from the water! And running to and from that long dock! Such a good spot for them to run. We came back the next morning and it was even better. Only one other dog was here. We had a blast! Baci used the ramp! Met so many locals and their doggos. Only wish they have something like this back home. Such lucky dogs!! Till then, we'll have to come back just for this!! :)

I guess I had a different image in my head. Some grass areas were wet/muddy due to sprinklers, and most of the good sitting areas were already taken. The water is cold and just doesn't look too clean - but maybe this is normal for lakes? I probably only stayed in the water for 5 minutes before I started wondering if I would catch something. If swimming in the lake is not for you, I think there is also a hiking trail nearby.
