Cheam Lake Wetlands is a 100 hectare park that is a great place to view birds, dragonflies, frogs…read moreand other wetland critters. What's really great is that there is no dog walking, fishing or boating allowed, so you it is definitely well preserved. The park is a great example of successful habitat restoration. During the 1950s the lake was drained and the marl was mined from the bottom sediments. Since 1992, a fish ladder was built to reflood the lake. Every year more of the natural habitat is being restore to the area. The new dock and wildlife viewing platform is a bonus. An easy 5k walk around the lake is a great way of spotting this new habitat. Every season is different.

We arrived there a short time and drive after our early-morning breakfast in Mission, and like our last visit, did a self-guided tour of the grounds, taking in as many of the sights and sounds as possible. I was not expecting to see much activity - it was too early in the year to see any returning adult salmonids - but like our last visit, at about the same time of year, preparations were being made to accommodate this year's fry in the outdoor rearing troughs and ponds. Still did not see sturgeons in 'The Lagoon' (suspect they're long since gone?), but sure enjoyed catching all the 'early-spring' sights and sounds throughout the grounds at this time. It's such a lovely spot. And the drive in to the facility, winds through one of the most beautiful valleys in the Lower Fraser Valley area. Now to make a point of planning to get there in the fall, when adult fish brood stock collection/sorting 'action' should be taking place.

Came here with Kwoky & Christian to check out the Frasier Valley Bald Eagle Festival. I was super…read moreexcited to see a hatchery, so this was pretty much a check off the bucket list for me. This place is pretty awesome, it's open every day for visitors and during the right time of the year you get to see the salmon jumping up inch lake to get to spawning grounds. We didn't get to see the fish mating, but they showed us the fish in holding tanks and we were able to identify coho and chum salmon. The volunteer guide we had was really fun and though she admitted to not knowing much she tried to be as helpful as possible and made us enjoy our trip there even more. They even have a pond in the back that holds two giant white sturgeon fish (well, one was white the other was apparently sunburnt) over 8 ft long! The last thing to see there are the baby smelts that they're growing. They plan to release them in the Spring, but we could see a whole cluster of them at the hatchery, so that was neat as well. They had two large tanks at one end to show baby and adult cohos so you could compare the difference. And the washrooms here are super clean. Thanks Inch Creek for the fun Sunday! :D

Perfect way to have fun on weekend with family, kid friendly place…read more The maze on its own is great, we choose the long/big maz, you have to solve some riddles to find your way out, it is fun. There's a pumpkin patch, cute animals sections, swings, lavender patch and apple threes. So there are tons of other activities foreveryone, rope course, jumping pilow. Also, they have food hut, try their pumpkin pie so fresh and tasty. Huge free parking on site, and friendly staff, well organized All around a pleasant experience from start to the end.

Due to COVID, tickets…read more(that were reasonably priced) must be purchased ahead of time with a specific time slot of entry, to keep customers as spaced apart as possible. What really struck me was the family atmosphere, a place that would be perfect for kids to hang out and play. There was play area, concession stand, picnic tables, pumpkin patches, and the star attraction: the corn maze. A hard or easy option, of which we decided to be adventurous and go for the hard option. Boyfriend and I completed the hard maze in 45 minutes, and that is with us getting turned around twice. There are periodic signs where the answers will guide you on which way to go... as long as you answer correctly. It had rained a day or two before, and signs were posted at the entrance warning us of poor, muddy conditions. Boy they weren't joking! I'm glad I wore my hiking shoes; they were absolutely caked by the time we were done. Amusingly enough, at the end of the maze there is a designated spot for you to scrape excess mud from your shoes. Even with the muddy conditions, this new adventure gave me more smiles than I thought I would get, wandering around a corn maze. It was fun! I admit, the only thing that could have made it better was if it wasn't so cold and windy (even when we made sure to bundle up), but of course that is out of their control.

I've wanted to come here for many years, but that got interrupted due to storm damage a couple of years ago. Not all of the tunnels were open at my time of visit, but they may be now. Other reviews suggest bringing a flashlight, which we did, but it really wasn't all that necessary. There were 4 distinct tunnels through which to walk; one was very short. Only one was long enough to make the darkness of the tunnel feel a bit spooky. But the feeling passed as we continued walking. There's a large parking lot, with more than enough free parking for when we arrived on Thursday around noon. There are 4 toilets just adjacent to the parking lots, which is great because the location of the park is a bit remote. Would definitely recommend everyone making a trip!

The teapot searching distracted from the never ending incline. Limited but free parking. Toilet just a couple minutes up from the parking lot. No real view at the end. Suggest to bring a teapot or teacup u don't need anymore for some fun :-)

Did a short camping trip at Cultus Lake along with a visit to the waterpark, and decided why not…read moreend it with a nice leisure hike nearby at Teapot Hill Trail. The hike begins immediately with an uphill trail trek and feels like you are always going uphill with intermittent flat patches all the way to the top of the hill. All along the hike you will see an assortment of teapots hence the name of the trail that past hikers have left for present and future visitors to enjoy. Our group did encounter a couple of signs warning of active hornet's nest in the area, but never saw or encountered any hornets during our entire ascent and descent of the trail. I would rate the hike as semi-easy consisting of 5 kms round trip in length 250 meters in elevation that took our group just under 2 hours to complete. Our group arrived at 13:00 on a weekday and there were 2 available parking spots out of 10 at the parking lot located just adjacent to the beginning of the hiking trail. Parking is also available on the side of the highway when lot is full.
