My update review is based on a recent, 3-night stay in Harrison Hot Springs (December, 2023)…read more While there, daughter and I took several walks to observe and enjoy sights of Harrison Lake, and surroundings. The highlights included: an early-morning walk of views along the Lake, to Harrison Village's source of hot spring water, and other views of the Lake and surroundings, from walks within the Village, along Esplanade Avenue. The cool, and mostly clear weather during our stay sure helped facilitate our observations and enjoyments, and several photos were taken of sights seen during these walks.

Plunging into my 30's never felt so goood!!…read more was a little tricky getting here... but i think it was due to writing down the directions incorrectly... but we made it right on time. we got checked in at the front and signed our lives away... then we met the divers we were going to be strapped on and we made our way to the first tent to change..... there is an option where you can video record your experience.... but i decided to bring my own camera up to do the trick- only downside is there was no way i could record the free fall...but everything else i got!! the plane was small..quite a tight squeeze, but we got all 10 of us in... they gave us (literally) a 3 min tutorial on how to move our bodies when jumping...and we were up and away! the fly up is beautiful..the view is amazing...and the people there, soooo super cool!! gerry was my pro diver-- over 15,000 jumps man!! i think he said he is 66 years old! wow!! while we floated down, he showed me the different views and pointed out which city was which... he was great. if you are scared... lemme tell you this: you have NO time to think about being scared.. you sign in, change, fly through the tutorial..hop on the plane..once you are at 10,000 feet (yes, 10,000!!)- the door opens, you hang your feet out and before you can say any final words, you are FALLING. i had 40 amazing seconds of free falling before the chute was opened. i screamed for a little bit-- but stopped, there was really no point in doing that. and no, my life did not flash before my eyes. landing was easy peasy! did it like a pro ;) there are really no words to describe the jump.... it is something you have to experience. this is a great place to do it at because they have their own air space and landing strip so you wont have to worry about airplanes flying by and making you wait. would i do it again? in a second! but id like to jump outta a plane in a different country next time!

Daughter and I walked this forested trail after breakfast each morning of our recent, early-March…read morestay at the Harrison Resort. The trail runs near / alongside the Miami River, by, and across from the Resort's property. It is very easily accessible at upstream and downstream ends of the trail, with entrances / exits -- upstream via a small, walking bridge over the River, at the far end of the Resort's parking lot -- downstream via a small, opening to the path located near the Miami River 'dike pump replacement building' near the Lake. It is a fine example of a west coast rainforest, and for our walks on the trail (and adjacent areas alongside the Lake, and to the source of the hot spring water) during this stay, it truly lived up to its name -- our early-morning walks were conducted via some rather heavy rain showers!! But once inside the forest, and on the trail, it was lovely, and so naturally quiet and peaceful - any wet stuff falling from above, was soon ignored, and became an integral part of the wonderful scenery. Two new-to-me sights observed during our walks this time -- a park sign (Qwolts Park. Harrison Hot Springs) erected just off the walkway / road near the downstream end of the Miami River, and two photo posters (The Sts'ailes People and The Sa:sq'ets), placed on the wall of the downstream end of the dike replacement building (on each side of the Sasquatch sculpture). As usual, the 'Miami River Bridges Trail Walk' offered a fun, lovely, and easily-walkable forested trail for us to enjoy a walk each morning. An early breakfast, followed by a walk in a close by wonderful piece of forest ecosystem -- hard to beat!!

Smaller but still has everything that you would essentially want in a theme park ride wise - although not much for food or games.
