However due to mechanical errors we were unable to take it. They were able to help and give us a 10 person boat instead. We went to the dock to get shown the boat. We then got in the boat and noticed a handful of issues not enough life jackets, trim gauge broken, fire extinguisher not mounted correctly and other issues. Keagen was cavalier about our safety questions and referred to us as crappy customers and threatened to have us kicked off the boat when we raised our concerns. When we got on the water we ran into some mechanical issues with the acceleration sputtering. However with these issues we pressed on. When we dropped the boat off we treated childishly where we were dismissed about our issues. We then left and were on our way. Would not rent here as the product we received was bad and the service was worse.

So, of course we can't use the golf cart rental. South Haven is full of tourists, all golf carts are reserved, there is no way this golf cart would not be rented sometime during the weekend. They refused to refund our money, so we're out over 300.00 for three days of cart rental. I have owned a business...I would never treat a customer like that. This just shows you what kind of owners this business has. Go somewhere else where they'll treat your fairly.

Diana, Jess and Val have all been extremely welcoming and never once did our family feel that we were camping rather, we felt as if we were "home" and felt like we became part of the family there. I was able to set sail on the Star of Saugatuck for a private wedding party and it was nothing…read moreshort of amazing and relaxing. When you first get there, everyone waits around the boat and outside before boarding time. There is a gift shop and bathrooms inside the office. They sell apparel and other Saugatuck trinkets. The staff are friendly and make you feel welcome. Once we boarded, the captain shared some safety tips to ensure all passengers had a quality experience. There are two levels of the vessel. The top level is uncovered and the bottom level is covered and is an enclosed space. The bar is located on the lower level. They played music and we enjoyed our sunset cruise through the Kalamazoo River, out to Lake Michigan and back. The waters were calm and the sunset made for a great backdrop! The dockhands thanked us for riding when we exited the boat and greeted us with a smile. It was a very pleasant experience on the Saugatuck star and we will definitely do it again!

These guys are experienced sailors that make you feel comfortable, safe, and at ease. Captain Andy explained how the sailing trip was going to go and what to expect. He also was friendly and answered all the questions we had about sailing! The sailboat is study and clean but not necessarily luxurious. We went on a 2 hour trip and the waves were about 2 feet high and it was around 65 degrees and sunny. I'm glad I brought a sweater and sunglasses- it's always colder on the water than in town. Don't worry about bringing food and drinks on the 2 hour trip- it would be hard to eat with the waves. Tip: bring Dramamine and eat something small and simple beforehand. But don't worry, the guys do have bags in case you get sick
