Such a beautiful place. There are multiple floors of designer shopping, cafes, a food hall, and some regular shopping. If you are in London you have to make a stop and even get yourself a souvenir. While visiting we decided to get lunch on the first floor. It was a little expensive but worth the experience. If you can't make up your mind on a souvenir by the way, there is one more location in Heathrow :)
Harrod's is a London icon and a premier luxury department store and it is a shoppers dream. This store is massive and its known for the fabulous food hall, extravagant luxury goods, and it attracts roughly 15 million visitors per year. Harrod's also features a afternoon tea in The Georgian and it costs about $96.00 US dollars per person. We were here many years ago but I still remember the experience. It was very busy inside and we walked around for a couple of hours just looking and taking in all the beautiful products that were for sale. The architecture of the store is a stunning. We bought some souvenirs, and I also bought a purse and wallet while visiting. We loved taking pics with the life size Harrod bears. I had never been in such a majestic and exquisite store seeing so many luxury items. This store is definitely geared towards the elite and uber rich but we still managed to have a really good time. Service was ample although most of the employees we encountered were very busy hustling to locate items for anxious shoppers. A must visit while you are in London, just don't drop all your cash here.
You feel like you are in a different world when you step inside Harrods. A luxury mall with a great food hall, a Prada cafe, they make their own chocolate in the chocolate hall, and every name brand you can think. Our first stop was the dry bar. We have plenty of these back in the states but I had never been to one before, so It's pretty exciting for to me to say that my first dry bar experience was in Harrods in London! I tend to stay away from blow-dry places because not everyone can blow-dry thick curly hair. Kezia was the stylist and she was great!! She was so funny, paid close attention to detail, and this was one of the best blow-drys I have ever gotten! Next, we stopped at Burberry. She was wonderful, poise, and so knowledgeable about the brand. My husband loves his wallet. We then stopped at Louis Vuitton for a perfume. No one attended to us and it felt like they were judging us based on how we looked. Five employees walked right past us and not a single one acknowledged us. Finally someone did and when we asked her what the notes in the perfume were she googled it on her phone. Our shopping day wasn't complete without buying some sweets from the chocolate hall. Every type of chocolate you can think of is sold here and delicious taste!
This is a very cool department store with many different brands, a restaurant, a cafe, and a candy hall! They even sell the Swiss chocolates from Laderach!
Tip: If you visit in December, check out the Christmas merchandise on the ground floor. I spent a good day at Harrods. I was here in December 2013. It was a treat seeing the Christmas section. It felt like a bonus! This store is London's largest department store with eight floors of shopping bliss. It has been a challenge trying to remember what was on each floor back then. Here goes nothing: Sixth floor: Perfume Fifth floor: Hair and beauty salon, and technology Fourth floor: Children's clothing, toys, denim Third floor: Home decor, furniture, bedding, and giftware Second floor: Menswear, men's shoes, and sports First floor: Womenswear, jewellery, women's shoes, and boutiques Ground floor: Foodhall, beauty, and watches Lower ground floor: Gourmet foods and wine I visited all eight floors. I spent the least amount of time on the sixth and second floors. I dabbled briefly in the technology section on the fifth floor. Most of time time was spent on the other floors. The Christmas merchandise was on the ground floor. It was amazing seeing chocolates, toys, candy, Santa, and more. The foodhall was incredible. The baked goods, sandwiches, mini cakes and chocolates looked in pristine condition behind the glass displays. I had lunch at the Montreux Jazz Cafe. I remember how cool the menu was. It was shaped as a record jutting out of an album sleeve. The music was chill and relaxed. I've been trying to figure out what I ate. I remember enjoying the shopping break. Sadly, this cafe no longer exists. It was created in 2012 in time for the London Olympics. The cafe endured for a few years before it closed for good. Prices are expensive at this high-end store. However, there was a sale on tea. I brought back roughly six boxes of tea. As a tea drinker, the tea varieties at this store were divine. I'd come back just for the tea. I'd also do afternoon tea here. I had no idea that I could indulge until after I had left London. Ugh! There are elevators and escalators to get you between floors. I remember the washrooms being close to the elevators, but I don't recall which floor. The women's washroom on whatever floor I was on was exceptionally fancy. There was a powder room that was separate from the washroom stalls and sink area. There were statues of Princess Diana and Dodi Al-Fayed dancing by the elevators on the lower ground floor when I was there. I just learned that this memorial was removed in 2018. The statues were returned to the Al-Fayed family. I recommend visiting this department store. It is indeed a ton of luxury items under one roof. I enjoyed it as a tourist and a shopper of fine tea. Harrods is every bit as chic and iconic as you'd expect. When I visited, they were in the process of getting ready for the holidays, and even during mid-setup, it was already beautiful. I can only imagine how magical it must look once everything is fully decorated! The store itself is massive and you could easily spend hours wandering through the different departments. Everything feels thoughtfully laid out despite the scale. The sales associates were friendly, approachable, and helpful without being pushy, which added to the experience. Harrods is a must visit while you're in London, whether you're there for shopping, dining in, or just soaking up the atmosphere.
Harrods is a well-known luxury department store in London, so my husband and I wanted to check it out. We went to Harrods on April 11, our third day (second full day) in London. The store is huge (in fact, we got lost trying to find a restaurant, which was a bit frustrating), that Harrods is almost a tourist attraction in its own right! We didn't have anything we needed to buy (and prices were expensive), but we splurged on a nice charcuterie board for £35 and various gifts for people, including a tea towel with the Westie dog embroidered on it for Nancy H. We briefly went back a couple of days later, on April 13, to buy lunch from the food hall, and to use the bathroom. So I been hearing of this famous store for a long time so I finally got to visit and walk through it and let me say I honestly was not impressed and if anything I wanted to walk fast and get out of very busy way There's an entire room of perfumes and colognes and omg it was STRONG. And it hits you hard and I was getting a headache within a min of being in there I don't know how they do it the employees lol But yeah it's basically a super high end shopping center filled with high end brands ...basically indoor mall meets department store and honestly I can't afford most of that but even if I could I probably would just go to a stand alone store vs this Oh... and apparently forget having to go to the bathroom my family were sent on a goose chase ended up outside ultimately I mean look if you love being around super expensive stuff and don't mind strong scents this is for you
Home to all the luxury/designer brands in all aspects of fashion. Anything from sunglasses, bags, makeup and even belts! Keep in mind things are expensive (even in the gift shop on lower ground level) but look at where you are. If you are new here ride those central escalators and fancy a look around. The representative was extremely nice when my partner was purchasing a suit however everyone else we came across was crusty.
Harrods a very high end department store in London. With wide range of products. Service was exemplary. Prices of their own products are reasonable and of good quality. They have all kinds of designer brands. I am very impressed with their store brand items especially the designs. Definitely a must go to as a tourist even if you don't have any intention of buying at all.
What an exquisite store and shopping experience! It's massive, so it's very easy to get lost. It has everything from clothes to restaurants to housewares and a gift shop. While it's geared for the uber rich, no one makes you feel like you cannot be there and shop. It was lovely. I bought several items from the gift shop that had friendly price points.
One of the most famous department stores in the world, you have to visit at least once I usually stop by every time I'm in London, now I don't usually buy much except the confectionery as this store is really for the wealthy uber rich! If you're into designer anything this is your place! Me - I just love the food hall!! Fancy chocolates,biscuits, all kinds of goodies Christmas time is usually beautifully decorated here and lots of lovely festive gift - but be warned super crowds, hard to get around the store it's jam packed full of people - not enjoyable at all!
It's honestly rare when I give a place two stars, but the amount of anxiety you feel coming into this store is unbelievable. I don't even know where to begin. Walking in you feel poor (even if you can afford to shop here, the employees want to make sure you feel like you can't.) You get lost. There's hundreds and hundreds of people. You feel overwhelmed. Selection? I'd say there's TOO MUCH selection. I couldn't even begin. If you want to shop here you'll need a time machine to add time to your day. I really wanted to go to the food hall, see photos below. The food was out of this world. I never thought I would see a smoked salmon cake?! That was really cool. But also expensive. I ended up just grabbing a salad and taking it to my hotel to enjoy.

Ordered: Pistachio Cake (~£18): pistachio croccantino with Bronte pistachio cream, sponge cake and vanilla Bavarian cream Cappuccino (~£7) Aya's take: This review is for the Prada Caffé at Harrod's but before I get into that, let me say that Harrods is iconic! Not to be dramatic but I can literally spend the rest of my life here. You can find quite literally anything and everything. I was absolutely blown away. The Prada Caffé is tucked away so it might be hard to just "stumble" upon it. The staff were super friendly and directed me there. Surprisingly, there was no wait time at all (unlike the LV Cafe in NYC or the Dior Cafe in Miami)! I started off with the Cappuccino which tasted like your typical cappuccino. The Prada print on top was of course a nice tough. I also loved the baby blue dishes they used. I was a bit hesitant with the Pistachio Cake; even though it sounded delicious, I couldn't understand why it would cost ~£18. I was mistaken! Yes, it's a bit overpriced but the pistachio and Bavarian creams was super delicious and the sponge cake was soft and moist. Highly recommend stopping by Harrods if not for the Prada Caffé or the Food Hall, at least check out this incredible place! read more

I was excited to come to Harrod's! I heard a lot about it along the way. We spent almost 3 hours walking around and admiring the different departments. The toy store was fascinating. An employee did a magic trick with me. I was impressed. They have some "reasonably" priced things for kids. They also have some extremely extravagant toys most kids can only dream of! We ate a light lunch downstairs. The food was good. I had a Greek salad that was fresh and my Mom had a chicken sandwich. They have a wide selection from fish and chips to lobster rolls to salads and all sorts of desserts. This area is bustling all times of the day. I looked around the clothing department. I did not try on anything. They have nice displays and everything. There are so many shoes, houseware things, the list goes on. I really enjoyed exploring their exclusive fragrance department on the sixth floor. Just magnificent! I highly recommend stopping by here. They have 4,000 employees for just one store. It is an amazing place to admire. read more
We came here to visit the TIffany's Cafe and possibly the Prada Cafe, that's it, that's all. We took some pictures inside and outside of the cafe. Aside from the cafes to obtain content, I was not impressed by Harrods. It seemed compartmentalized and overrated. Though definitely high end and luxury-driven, it had a weird set up to me. It reminded me of a mall with different luxury stores within the mall. I guess we overstayed our welcome following afternoon tea because we were going to take a quick picture outside of the TIffany's store, but we were run up out of Harrods by security or whatever they are called over there stating that pictures were not allowed. I guess that is why we captured a crowd while taking photos outside of the cafe. We were tourists and that is what tourists do. I did not see any signs posted prohibiting photos. Based on these Yelp reviews, it appears that people took pictures while there. We went there to have afternoon tea, so mission accomplished. I say "whatever" to his objection to the other photos. read more

Harrods is the essential London shopping experience that everyone has to experience while there. The building is magnificent and even if you can't afford anything at the store it's amazing just to go and look around. You can easily get lost in this place. As they have everything from food, clothing, kitchenware, furniture, and even chocolate. This place blows Macy's and any other department store in the US out of the water. A must visit for any visitor heading to London. read more

My number one tip is to go during the week and to allow plenty of time to wander around. There is so much to see. From the tea room, to the chocolate room, to the pasta room, etc. Then of course all of the beauty and fashion to peruse. Harrods did not disappoint and I will absolutely be back. read more
Aloha, if you're a shopper, this is a shop-a-holic's paradise. Wow shopping on steroids. You could be here for days! 6 floors on a city block of the best stores within a store. LV, Channel, Valentino you name it it's here (if it's anything awesome). We spent a few hours here, including lunch (there are many restaurants to choose from) and lunch was fantastic. Great service everywhere! You truly feel like a queen or king. No judgement, just solid service. I had a wonderful time and spent too much money, LOL, but I guess that's their plan, if you're there you will. Enjoy! read more
If you're stressed and needed a bit or a lot of shopping therapy, this is the place to be!!! Harrod is like a shopping mansion, you can find whatever you want here. It has everything from Versace bedding to Dolce Gabana toaster to Tiffany jewelries. All the brands are glittering and shining the moment you walked in, and it was very hard to hold my credit card in my bag! They even have eateries and freshly butchered meat. It's like a lifestyle shopping museum, and you can spend the whole day here. Highly recommend coming here just to window shop! We were at Harrods Cafe, and I must say the chicken avocado ciabatta and truffle crisps were sooooooo gooood! Highly recommend eating inside Harrods for the experience. This portion is for Hermes leather goods section at Harrods: After visiting 3 countries and 6 different Hermes stores, I finally got my hand on a Hermes leather bag at the Hermes inside Harrods. The SA who helped me named Samantha and she was the nicest SAs I've dealt with from all the Hermes stores I've been to. She was very helpful and straightforward. After waiting an hour on the leather goods que and about another 2 hours talking to Samantha, I walked out with an Evelyne!! I was very happy getting the bag!! read more

Fancy place to shop! According to like everyone in the world (lol), you have to go to Harrods if you are in London. So when in London... We shopped here. Mostly window shopped, but still- it counts! lol This place is a little too pricy for my blood. But it was definitely fun to look at the overpriced fare. It is very posh. Some of the people shopping there just seem stuck up. But whatever. It is a huge tourist trap lol We didn't get to try the cafe while we were there. Sadness. Maybe next time we will be able to. This was just a fun experience in London. I will be back London! See you soon. P.S. Maybe if I win lotto I can actually buy stuff here lolol read more

8.20.23 Upscale and overpriced department that is maze like and hard to navigate. Shopping is one of my favorite hobbies, but it was very overwhelming. My hubby and I wanted to grab lunch at Gordon Ramsey, but could not find it despite asking three sales associate. I also asked if they knew where Lauduree Bakery was and they were totally clueless. They have a dining hall and food market so there is something for everyone. What I found ridiculous is there wasn't seating available for those who made a purchase at the food market only the dining hall if you made a purchase at one of the vendors. After we had lunch and I got a tiramisu and macaron from the food market, I looked around briefly and told my hubby we could leave. It wasn't as fun since everything was so expensive that I wouldn't buy anything anyways. read more
Wonderful experience with Harrods. Since I am living in California ordered online a lace shoe from D&G brand. I ordered by 10th of the June and by July 3rd, I received the package. Their site is fast and there was no complications at all. I loved my experience and if even I visited London in future , I ,for Sure ,come to the store for more deals. The actual pump has been for 1300 pounds and I got for 900.There was a free return and shipment. Highly recommended read more
You definitely need to visit at least once. If it's your first trip to London, by all means go and explore and experience it. But I do think it's gone from a seriously luxury shopping experience to just a full blown circus of tourism. It's just so busy all the time that any "luxury" gets lost in the chaos for me. While I do not live in London anymore I have been here many times. Now that I am a tourist visiting it does feel a bit overwhelming and definitely more busy than it used to (even on week days) for Americans it's a similar experience to Macy's Harold Square during the holidays, but all the time. Now it is a beautiful store. You can't deny that, but the current layout (as of my last visit in 2024) is very hard to navigate. We were looking for a specific destination and asked two different employees and neither could tell us where it was. The perfume room is so large it's like hitting a wall of scent. From just walking though to get through the space I had a headache. I think the food hall has been ruined. When you used to be able to get a few things here and there from different stops and all pay and eat in one space, that's gone so you have a massive line to get each thing (but still beautiful) and the souvenir floor is now humongous (since they took out the remembrance area) but so incredibly high priced. Canvas bags (the type that are either free as the shopping bag or are maybe $2) are £40 (tip if you want one, just get the £6 one at checkout) there was an employee flying a drone which felt dangerous, and the actual Harold's bags are almost the same price as semi luxury bags (£240-£700) So while this is a gorgeous store, it feels to me more like a tourist stop. So in future I'll not stop there unless others in my party want to. Just too unpleasant now. There are other historical and huge department stores in London who have handed the 21st century better and feel much more like a luxury experience without being overwhelming all the time. read more

Quality/Quantity - It is always a treat coming here. Love high-end window shopping and checking out all the newest and greatest stuff. My pictures tell a better story than any of my words can. Atmosphere - 5-6 stores of high end shopping; my wife's paradise! Plenty of good food and drink options, I am happy also. :) Win/win. I can spend hours in the liquor department alone. See all my pictures. Scary, but I can also spend hours in their food hall/court, bars, etc, LOL. Dining hours open 7 days a week, 10am to 9pm; Sundays from noon till 6pm. Some late night dining options, see website. If I lived nearby, this is where I would shop. Cool decor, even the classic elevators. Service - Good. Price - Expensive, but you get what you pay for! Harrods does a lovely afternoon tea, and I really appreciated the gluten free selections, which were very similar to the standard non-gluten free ones, so I didn't feel shortchanged. The portions are very filling and you can have additional portions of anything you'd like. The scones were served at the end, after we were completely stuffed. We ended up taking those to go. There is a pianist in the tea room, and the setting is very nice. Service is courteous. The price was around 75 pounds, which is expensive. However this is pretty normal pricing for a nice afternoon tea. I believe Fortnum and the Savoy cost more, for example. read more

I love the harrods so much. You have everything you need with amazing customer service! I have to go to the harrods everyone I am in London even if it's to eat only. There is so many designers with beautiful pieces that will not be found outside the harrods! Yes prices are high so be ready to pay $$$$. The best thing is that you get one point for each UK pound you spend. Go check it out and you are going to be addicted lol read more

High end and very detail oriented. My team emailed ahead and asked for some very specific details for the plates, I must say I was so impressed with that presented our club members. Amazing presentation and a lot of fun, the Beluga caviar was absolutely delicious. It´s the best place to come when you´re celebrating a big win. read more
Just updating as I recently visited the baby section, or 'mini designer' department. Whilst they have lots of designer baby clothes and some slightly more affordable lines, they didn't have much in the way of accessories. I've been struggling to find nice neutrally coloured teethers, but all they had were the same banana ones that Boots/Amazon sell (and at twice the price). I expected more for the size of the department. Additionally, while most staff members were extremely helpful, one woman in the baby department was standing in front of the shelf I was trying to get to and when I said excuse me she barely took a step to the side and continued her conversation. Not the customer service I expect from Harrods. The food department is still 5/5 with lots of convenient meals ready for lunch time and super friendly staff. read more

A trip to London isn't complete until you visit Harrods. Whether you want to shop, buy, or just look, it's an experience you shouldn't miss. Even if you hate shopping, you will be in awe, as you walkup Brompton Road in Knightsbridge. The most famous store in the world is lit up in all its beauty, teasing that you must go inside and cannot walk past. The watch gallery has boutiques from Audemars Piquet, Cartier, Chopard and more. Each one nicer than the one before. Then there's the unbelievable food hall, a true visual feast with meats, cheeses, breads, fruits and IMO the best chocolate department in world. Downstairs past the book store is the amazing Baccarat bar. Stop in and have a glass of wine. The room is beautiful and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle of shoppers and tourists. Home to over 5000 brands, it's massive, unique and totally over the top. There's nothing like this in the world. Every little detail is covered. There's something for everyone, even if you just pick up a chocolate bar or just go window shopping. It's totally worth the trip. read more

What an amazing store and so much to see. Check out their selection of international chocolates. My favorite was the Swiss chocolate which cost me almost $150. I bought a small tote to carry my stuff home. Unfortunately, I wish the Harrods name had been more prominent on the tote. The logo was located on the bottom. Sadness! All in all a very interesting store. read more

They have a shop for every watch imaginable, every designer item, a Tiffany shop with a Tiffany blue box café... If it isn't at Harrods it doesn't exist. Harrods appears more high end than I remember. There are more salespeople & security guards than shoppers. The Knightsbridge tubes are right in front of the door. read more

Wow wow wow I was literally Blown Away at returning to this store after 38 years! Wow! This is going to be a very difficult review to write because I don't think I even know enough great adjectives to describe this wonder of London!! We're we're in London on the weekend so on Saturday it was packed to the rafters! It was so fun to watch Joe's amazement at all the different departments, especially the food ones. This place puts Eataly to shame and I'm not saying that in a negative way just it was like Eataly on steriods:) I definitely did some damage in the confections department. They have Laduree macaroons flown fresh in everyday from Paris, we got a couple right then and there no need for a bag since they were gone in seconds! To die for... The bummer was there were long lines everywhere so we couldn't just hang around too much. Then we went into the fresh meats area we were so shocked at how amazing it was we didn't take too many pics, I mean I remember back in the day when I would get super annoyed at people taking photos of the Mona Lisa in Paris...before I became a Yelper... Then we went back to the sweets section and saw they had one of my all time favorite chocolates, Venchi! We stocked up on a couple of different boxes of those for dinner :) It was just so incredibly crowded it felt like it was Black Friday, normally I just don't deal with crowds like this but this was our last day for shopping and milling about. This is the coolest store in my whole world of the places I've traveled so far. Joe was encouraging me to go upstairs to the designer clothing section. This was so sweet but I do have my spending limits and all Harrods carries is super high end products so I decided my chocolates and macaroons had to suffice this time. This store is a MUST when you travel to good old Londontown; the service is impeccable even though they were super busy. read more
