If you are an American and unfamiliar with M&S, just think of it as the Trader Joe's of America when it comes to food M&S Foods sells all M&S brands. The biscuits (especially the shortbread) are not to be missed and you should save room in your suitcases. M&S (regular) it is like a department store. Great quality clothing for great prices. If you are traveling to England during your birthday month, make sure to sign up for the Marks & Spencer loyalty card and you will get a sweet treat or grapes free for your birthday. I was introduced to M&S chocolate chip shortbread cookies on my last visit seven years ago. So over our most recent visit to London I made a point of buying a couple bags in their bakery located in the basement food hall. Each bag contains 5 square shaped cookies. There's a best buy date on the label. Which in this case was the next day. If you like soft crumbly shortbread cookies you'll like these cookies. I prefer hard crunchy cookies so I wasn't as excited this time around. Soft and crumbly means lots of butter and that they are. When I returned home today I reheated a cookie. Still soft and crumbly with an enhanced buttery taste. We also walked around the department store doing the lookey loo but left without buying anything else. Teach you bloody cashiers some manners and respect. Is a passport, internationally recognized ID, not good enough for £40 credit card purchase ? They have to argue and harass customer by asking them to sign in front of them while they carefully look and match the signature on an ID ? That too after CC payment went through without an issue. And then on top freaking argue why it is important for customer not them. Don't tell me you are trying to protect me cause that is BS. If my CC gets stolen or charged, that is my problem not yours. Can't go wrong with Marks and Spencer's. I will often run over and grab some snacks after a long flight. Nice to wake up, and already have something quick and easy to enjoy in my hotel room. Associates were very rude in the women's department and made excuses to advise on correct sizes. Even in the fitting room, they were passing condescending comments which was not appreciated. Quality of clothes has gone down and mostly they are not made in England as in the good old days. I normally don't like to show up as a store is about to close. Unfortunately I found myself within 15 min. of closing hour. I knew exactly why I was there for except I didn't factor in the time it would take me to look through the Christmas inventory. Luckily I had the they'd stocking gentlemen to help me. Once I was ready to check out the young man working register was very efficient and helpful. He knew I had to walk to a nearby hotel so he called David to with my purchases to my hotel. This cafe is in a store and you can see the sign on the street. It had a very good location. As we entered the store it looked very nice and we were enthusiastic. We asked a security person where it was but he just mumbled something and left . We found it anyway on the first floor. The decoration was nice and it probably was good earlier but we got there around 4:30 PM and it was dirty, the cake was not fresh and the cashier had attitude. Whether it's the weekly food shop (food hall is downstairs) or lingerie/bed linen/towels on the upper floor, I've always had a high opinion with regards to their quality & good-valued products. I don't buy clothing (other than lingerie) here as the smallest sizing they do is an 8 and I'm a small 6, but I've noticed that they've started to introduce size 6 into a few of their ranges, so maybe I'll start buying their clothing too... I'm going to review the food court and supermarket. ***Food Court: Absolutely amazing value for money. For £5 you can pick up Scottish salmon and side, £5.50 Beef and side and £4.50 a quarter chicken and side. The sides usually being chips or a selection of 2 salads. I suggest choosing the salad, they ram the box full and the rainbow salad is absolutely amazing, along with the tomato salad. Extremely filling, fresh and great quality produce makes this a fabulous meal - I often pop in for lunch. Also considering the location it's a steal. High Street Kensington is an expensive area and lunches are often £6+ depending on whether you know the cheap places in the area. ***Food Supermarket: Premium produce and a great selection, not always the cheapest (although honestly it's more about perception as there is only a few pence in it), but great quality. I love the 2 for £10 meal deal specifically; it's very reasonable for a main, side, pudding and wine. They've started selling branded produce (like marmite, etc.), but usually its M&S branded. I've always been 100% satisfied with them; I feel I can trust that I'm going to get quality with my purchase. read more

It's ok for the Basics. I have this practice of wearing men's shirts because I think the price and quality is better. At this store I could see myself wearing their men's button-down shirts from the Autograph line. Surprisingly, the women's Autograph line is the same quality and price but I still prefer the men's line for it's colors. Woolen socks are of better quality in the men's department than women's department too. If only i could find my size. Hey, socks are socks. Is it just me or does the most of High Street Ken look a little dated? This store included. Someone said that's it's the equivalent to a Macy's in the states but I say more on par with a Sears. read more

Clearly a flagship store for the high street chain, this branch - fittingly for its setting - has an upmarket, (relatively) designer feel. On several levels, it's a pleasure to shop here. The layout is clean, tidy and well-displayed. Follow the signs to your preferred department, or explore at your leisure, and you're likely to find plenty to tempt you. Food and drink is in the basement with its own separate entrance. Most ladies fashion is on the ground floor (although the majority of accessories are sited on the first floor). If the scale of it exhausts you, there's a handy café to relax and recharge in. Even during sale time it remains relatively tidy and a pleasant place to shop. Due to its size, stock levels are generally good and often better than many other central branches. read more

M&S in Kensington is arranged over three floors. There is an excellent food department in the basement offering a wide selection of products and a cafe with a small seating area where you can purchase hot food and drinks. There is quite a large wine section as well as plants and flowers and an in store bakery. There is a well stocked lingerie department on the first floor. There is also a small Homeware department. Cafe Revive is also situated on this floor. It's not all that spacious and at busy times not a comfortable place to sit. On the second floor you will find Menswear. There is also a Bureau de Change which is extremely useful when you are going to travel abroad and the best part is that it is commission free! read more

This branch of M&S is pretty large and arranged over three floors with a basement food hall. You can pretty much find anything you might need that can be found in M&S and at the moment they have the Christmas shop on the first floor for any 3 for 2 Christmas gifts or Christmas decorations you might need. The food hall in the basement is very well stocked too and caters for those looking for lunch to take back to the office or eat on the run. They even have self service tills to make your shopping experience that much quicker. read more

This M&S is incredibly convenient especially for a quick grocery run as you're coming off the tube at High Street Kensington. While the food hall is excellent I have found that they don't carry (or the staff has not been able to direct me to) some relatively simple ingredients. My most recent example has been when I was told by the staff that they didn't carry any barbecue sauce. Their selection of shoes is amazing and unlike the clothes in most cases, the prices are very reasonable. Additionally, the bureau de change is one of the best kept secrets as they have the greatest exchange rates in town. read more

The store was really massive even on high street kensington.The shop offerd you nearly everything,and also offered travel service.The thing I like most about this shop is the new opening food kiosk.The food and drink were very good quality and the price was also good.Usually I would like to go to Pret a manger but now I had one more choice. The Kensington location of M&S has a wide-ranging selection. It's one of the more well-stocked London locations. I recently headed here to check out the new Josh Wood hair products as they were one of the few local locations to receive them upon release. The service was especially helpful and friendly. On 26th February 2017, I attended Marks and Spencer's in High Street Kensington, London, UK. I was returning a Soft Storm Cord Jean, which is sold at £39.50. The item number is 03436400T17. The waistband had a defective coupling. Prior to that, on 19th February 2017, I returned three Merino Wool jumpers, priced at £39.50. The product number is T303530M. I found myself being accused by the store of being involved in suspect activity surrounding my two refund transactions. This is despite spending almost £2000 between December 2016 and February 2017. I experienced the store security being consulted and this amounted to common assault. On 27th February 2017, I wrote to the manager of the store, who replied promptly apologising for the experience which I had and a subsequent meeting with the menswear manager resulted in a promise that everything would be done to ensure this experience did not occur again. Thereafter, I found myself being threatened after the issue of compensation was raised. I was threatened with a trespass order being made against me and despite a voice recording of my experience along with the store's CCTV displaying my behaviour to be mild and moderate, Marks and Spencer's accused me of intimidating their staff resultant from assertion. As a consequence, I am asking anybody who has had issues with either of these products to contact me. Whilst I am having separate tests being done independently on what I consider to be merchantable issues with these products. This store is just massive and well presented. Everything you might want to buy in Marks and Sparks. Their clothes is for slightly older women, sizes are hughe!! They have cute things for the little ones and their underwear is an old classic, good quality. I am writing this review on behalf of both me and my father. We are both massive fans of this Marks and Spencer shop. We especially love the deli bar which serves lovely fresh food quickly. There is also a funky set out where you can sit and watch your food being made. The salads are particularly nice and the coffee is great I am told. A shopping trip to High Street Ken would not be complete without a trip to this M and S. read more
