Needing carpets to be cleaned and getting Ted's number and card from a neighbor seemed like a great…read moreidea. I called and made an appointment after getting a quote for the cleaning. Sounds easy enough but I had to call a couple times and leave messages until I finally got a call back from someone who was not so friendly. Strange because neighbors referred Ted's service to me and they said that they did excellent work. I had to cancel the appointment so I called a week ahead of time to cancel, of course I had to leave a message, but I got no call back about rescheduling, which I asked for in my message. I have called three more times to make an appointment for October, more than a month in advance, and have gotten no response. I feel that they are ignoring my phone calls. I recommend they hire someone just to answer the phone and talk with customers, or, to at least respond to their phone calls within the same day. That way, you will keep the customers that are already interested in your business. I do not recommend using Ted's Carpet Cleaning. If they are this rude without them even making it to my house, how rude with they be while they are in my house?

This company was recommended to us, so we thought the two week wait was worth the time, but we were wrong and in the end I don't think it was because he was busy with other clients. He said it would take 2 hours, which it did, when completed my husband (who isn't as detail oriented as myself) went up to inspect and pay, he only looked at one couch. That couch was actually done properly, but the other three where terrible. I like to personally make sure I get my money's worth, so I inspected awhile later and noticed that he didn't vacuum the crevasses or under the cushions. When I called him on this - after some back and forth, he actually ADMITTED that he only did 99% of the job! I could NOT believe someone would admit to that! Who says that!?!? Anyway, after further discussion he AGAIN said that he only did 99% of the job. I must say, I absolutely lost it...I said that we should have just paid 99% of the bill! He proceeded to hang up. I am so angry I paid him in cash. So please, there are a million cleaning services out there, stay away from Ted's. Unless you like getting a job 99% done.

In April I was looking for an estimate for both siding and gutters. L&G was reasonable on the…read moresiding however their gutter cost was absurd compared to 5 other reputable competitors. I really wanted to use L&G so I questioned the gutter cost that was near double the lowest price point, as well I asked why we had to remove my current wood panels to install the siding when 5 other contractors felt it was better to install over the wood. Basically I was told my house would not look right and that the gutters were the lowest without them losing money. I reconnected with the other contractors and questioned the removal of the wood as I was curious if they were trying to save me money to win the bid and if that was actually best for my home. All 5 agreed it was actually better to install over. Fast forward, I went with a contractor who did not do gutters - so I waited to call gutter professionals when the siding was done. I collected 4 estimates as well as some to roof a barn shed. Ironically all these quotes were half of L&G's gutter quote which is what I found with the other siding contractors. One contractors who didn't do roofs suggested I reconnect with L&G. I did. I explained why I didn't use them and told them I was looking for the cheapest solution (product) to roof the shed. I asked if they would consider coming out for a fair estimate without any fluff or unnecessary add ons. The shed is nothing that need a spectacular metal roof and precision shingling. L&G declined coming out to provide a fair estimate and related they would not be the cheapest.
