The artichoke dip was very good however, the dipping sauce for the fried pickles was not good. It has bacon in it, which then changed the whole flavor profile and made everything taste like hotdogs. I ordered fish and chips, but when the fish came, it was so incredibly salty because of the dusting that they put on it and it appeared from the outside because it was so dark that it was overcooked. I just couldn't eat it. I had to send it back. I told her that that had I known, I would have requested reservations for American week menus. She agreed. Instead of leaving we opted to have the Mongolian beef. It was good but not what were looking forward to. To our waitresses credit she gave us a free dessert but that doesn't make up for the disappointment my wife and I experienced re her birthday dinner. What a great museum! From the first step inside, hints of the local treasures is visible…read moreeverywhere. The first thing you'll see is the skull of the Torosaurus, one of the largest ever found, here in Fergus county. And this was just the skull; trying to imagine the size of the rest of this dinosaur is a little frightening. The museum, mostly in one room, is separated by the topic and era covered, and nearly all the donations are from locals. On one side are demo storefronts of a pharmacy, dress shop, general store, doctor and dentist, all of which have samples of period items typical of that era. From there it moved to a school room, a printing press, a moving-picture set up. There is a separate room for hunting, military, and home-goods. All of it is complemented by various news articles, pictures, and clothing -- again, most all of it donated by Montanans from the area. This small museum accomplishes in a small footprint what larger museums do, but in a less overwhelming way. I enjoyed the manageable stroll through time. It's a nicely done museum.
