Vanilla custard danish thing... maybe not a danish haha
    Emily B.

We went to numerous Hart Bageri locations, but I am reviewing this one because it was my favorite! It's a popular spot so the seats inside were taken, but they had plenty of seating outside with heat lamps and blankets. Plus -- beautiful views of the water! Of the pastries I've tried, I liked the cinnamon roll and a vanilla custard danish (I'll include a picture) the best. The cardamom roll is good, but not my favorite we've had. It tasted like it had a bit of orange in it, which was fun, but it was a little softer than I personally prefer. All in all, if I'm ever back in Copenhagen I'll definitely stop at Hart Bageri. Pro Tip: Don't forget to ask for you matcha sweetened if that's how you like it!

We stopped into the Hart Bageri location near Reffin and loved the experience. The space has that clean, Scandinavian charm and smells like pure pastry heaven. We had a patisserie that was beautifully made: rich, chocolatey and creamy. You can tell the bakers here care deeply about their craft. We're definitely hoping to get there earlier next time to snag their famous cardamom pastry, which had already sold out by the time we arrived. If you're in Copenhagen, this spot is absolutely worth a detour. Just don't sleep in, the best stuff goes fast!

Sausage roll. Looks simple and wasn't heated up and no tomato relish but it was phenomenal

All the food here is amazing. Sausage roll looks very simple but it's packed with amazing flavor. Sandwiches are made with amazing bread and good quality fillings. I love this place

This was the best pastry I had in Denmark. It was so crispy and flaky. The cream cheese filling was divine. The coffee was decent as well. All the stars for Hart.

    Cheesecake, cardamom croissant, Spandauer

Maybe the best cheesecake I think I've ever had? The cardamom croissants were delicious, but I prefer a more classic bun. The Spandauer center was also perfectly creamy and would highly recommend

I'd heard so much about Hart and it was an honor to visit in person. The cardamom croissant was divine and not overwhelming. Just everything was so soft and buttery, always worth the visit.

Loved this spot for a casual lunch/coffee/pastry vibe. Such a nice view next to the docks and a good amount of seating. The coffee is really good and this place has the only oat milk I've ever liked. Wish I knew the brand actually, haha. Spandauer was super yummy and sandwich was also solid. 4/5 only because I reserve 5 stars for bakeries that have exceptionally impressive pastries.

My husband had read about this place so we tried it out. It's small but mighty. We had a tomato/olive tart, pan au chocolat, a fudgey skinny eclair-but-better thing, and a chevre and leek quiche. We clearly over-ordered but everything was capital D Delish.

Fell in love with this cafe in the Indre By area ! So spacious & cozy - true hygge & European…read morevibes. The seating is first come, first serve and you order at the bar like most cafes in Denmark. The ambiance was so cozy. We ordered a cafe latte and a mocha latte. Both were delicious and creamy and they came with little ginger cookies on the side. We also ordered the 3 mini veggie burgers and they were so yummy! And actually more the size of normal burgers in the US so I was pleasantly surprised. The burgers came with the softest and tastiest potatoes I've ever had. Whether you're looking for a romantic evening coffee with your special someone, a cozy catch up with a friend, or some R&R on your own - this cafe is a must go to if you're in Copenhagen !

Absolutely fantastic, if huge, meal. Though it doesn't say so, it seems these meals are to be…read moreahared because they are so plentiful. Loved what I had and still stuffed hours later. The mushroom frittata (I think it was) was absolutely delish- no rubbery egg taste, lovely mushies. I was worried about the carrot salad because it looked like it was tossed in something creamy, but it was quite good. This also included a really rich and thick tomato soup, and a small toast w/ goat cheese and a rhubarb jam, and some sweet treat- I'm guessing made with mascarpone. Hubbies sandwiches were good, though I've never seen mushrooms in a chicken salad before (luckily they were big enough for him to pick out so I got those too). Only reason to dong them a Star was due to the chaotic way and wait to order. There was one queue downstairs and two people intermittently taken orders. But, the people taking the orders also were making fancy coffee drinks and doing other stuff, so it was very staccato. When we were next in line, both people ringing people up went missing for quite a few minutes and then a newcomer went straight over to the 2nd register to ask a question, as if the people in the longer queue weren't waiting, and because the guys behind the counter were so all over the place they couldn't keep track of that. Then it turns out if you want to sit upstairs, you have to order up there, so off we went to wait in another queue. After you order, you take a number to your table and we thought they forgot about us, and asked a bus boy to check in for us and he returned with our food. Oy! Also: They do have English menus on request, but not typically on the table. Excellent food and ambience!
